  1. Try "Mid America" grass seed.  It is a mix of Fescue and Bluegrass.  It is both shade and sun tolerant.
  2. You going to hunt with bow, muzzleloader or long range magnum rifle?
  3. The latest fiscal note added to the bill shows equal revenue loss and expenditure loss.  This means the state will neither gain or lose money from passing this bill.   http://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/109/Fiscal/SB1483.pdf
  4. BSA Sweet 22 3X9-40   I have owned this scope for about 2 years now...still zeroed.  Comes with 3 different BDC turrets for 36,38 and 40 grain ammo.  Glass is clear, "dead-on-balls" accurate (scientific term).  Definitely won't break the bank at $50.   http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/bsa-sweet-22-3---9-x-40-riflescope?repChildCatid=32247
  5. If I can only choose one...My Mossberg 500 (I don't own a Reminton 870).  I can hunt and defend with it.  Birds, Squirrel, Rabbits, Deer
  6. Through my years in the US Army Infantry, I've owned Gerber, Leatherman and SOG.  Each has their advantages/disadvantages.  However, I carried the Leatherman more than any other.
  7. Congrats on the good interview with Vectrus. Wish you well! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  8. You can't start a topic of "Today's Joke" without a followup tomorrow.
  9. If this passes (doubtful), I will be commuting on my motorcycle much more, my truck and my wallet are enjoying the current gas prices.  Generally, I agree with "flat" taxes (like sales tax)...the more you spend, the more you pay.  They are fair for both the rich and the poor.  However, in this situation, it hurts those in rural areas more, as we have a longer commute.  It also hurts farmers and transportation based companies.  if the price of trucking goes up, then the price of everything goes up.   Why can't we have less spending?
  10. It's easier to switch shoulders with a red-dot / holographic / reflex sight when you can keep both eyes open.
  11. I use bush hog blades.  See your local farm implement dealer (repair shop) to see if they can save some "take offs" for you.
  12. I switched shoulders when I joined the Army.  Throughout my childhood, I had always shot left handed (being a left handed person).  My drill instructor had an issue with another left handed shooter, who was not able to close his right eye, without closing his left.  He had him switch to right handed.  I had the same problem, but always fired with both eyes open.  Once I switched to "right handed" firing, there was no going back.  Your non-dominant eye can be trained to compensate.  It will take time, but it works.
  13. Who has guns, and who's crazy...   http://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/task-force-urges-doctors-screen-adults-depression-36525055

Henry has better iron sights (ghost ring). Marlin has loading in the receiver and not the tube. I prefer Henry's fit and finish over Marlin as well. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  15. I have written my state representative and senator and ask that they support this issue.   EDIT:  My senator "Mae Beavers" was added to the list of sponsors today.
  16. Don't book any hotels on the west side of town.  South or east would be better.
  17. I need a mid-range deer rifle.  I need something to accurately shoot at 200-300 yards.  I want something that shoots remarkably flat so I don't have to worry too much about bullet drop or holdover.   Shooting with 357 and 45-70, I don't have good ballistics past 150 yards.
  18. I have 2 kids in college that is killing me financially.  Now they both want to go to medical school.  I would heavily invest in their future, so they could take care of me when I get old.
  19. I might get yelled at here.  I'd rather be uncomfortable, or have other people uncomfortable than to have someone sneak a dangerous item on a plane.  I'll take security over comfort.
  20. I've had 2, 1 year subscriptions.  Made sense to just go ahead and purchase the Lifetime subscription.
  21. I'd go with synthetic, then get a "boyd's gun stock" in laminate.
  22. Go to grocery store that decorates cakes.  They will give away or sell frosting buckets for approximately 2 bucks.  These are very heavy duty buckets with handles and lids.  However, they are 2-3 gallon, as opposed to the 5 gallon buckets.
  23. You and your friend are alive, and able to laugh about the "defecation situation".  Don't sweat the small stuff.
