  1. Bingo. Sucks to say, but stories like these are the reminder i needed to be more careful.
  2. 100% on notifications. That's smart. The only time it becomes a problem is around birthday's and Christmas, but the wife and I are adults so we just agreed to get over it.
  3. oh no! not the thing that goes up!

  6. you weren't rocking compuserve with a 9800baud? I got lucky that my first PC was a packard bell Pentium 1. It had 1mb of video memory with a sticker that said (upgradable to 2!). 14.4 modem... it was the bees knees
  7. well it's that or Daryl Dixon... personally, I would align more with the Newhart crew. They were better actors.
  8. I am not a fan of any ban.... Stan #mynameisnotstan
  9. With my current career, I've been forced to work with a much larger, multi-national workforce. I'm a small town country boy... so it's definitely taken me out of my element. Year after year, I partner with white collar knowledge workers from all over the globe. They jockey for position to be able to get a visa into the US. They work, they pay their taxes, they take on the culture and almost 99% of the time, they're sent back home (99% is probably high, but i rarely see them get to stay long term). Even IF they got to stay, it's luck of the draw based on a lottery and a green card is only about 15 years away. Meanwhile, people cross the border illegally and our government wants them to stay. Honestly, i'm not saying one is better than the other. If i lived under a brutal starvation government, surrounded by gangs and drugs... i would RUN LIKE HELL for the US border. But my point is to highlight just how stupidly broken our immigration system is. So I don't blame these people for coming over the border. I blame their government for making their lives so miserable that they have to. I also blame our government for using these people as pawns for control instead of going after their corrupt government and tellling them to pony-up
  10. in-n-out is legit. it's coming to nashville as well.
  11. As a kid, i thoguht it was "water burger". But instead of asking, i just tried to puzzle out how anyone would enjoy a soaking wet burger and bun. A literal soup sandwich.
  12. IIRC they had the good long handled versions with fresh wash. For now at least, they take immaculate care of the place.
  13. I've only had it twice. Just tasted like shoddy mustard to me. I suppose it will do in a pinch, but it wasn't anything to write home about.
  14. Read this one while the wife was snoozing. She's not snoozing anymore. Hahaha
  15. It's a neat stop if you're passing by. I wouldn't make a special trip for it. Custom foods, lots of branded apparel. Gas pumps as far as the eye can see. Get yourself some chocolate covered almonds. They're solid. I don't get people's love for the beaver nuggets...
  16. watch that booger hook my dude.
  17. Joke's on you. my wallet is empty!
  18. I see it all the time, and people are specifically discussing USD.
  19. Maybe this is my age showing, but what's up with people typing "100$" with the dollar sign at the end? This has gotten pretty rampant over the last year or so. Maybe it's when they're being conversational and trying to say it like "100 dollars" (which should still be $100. I can't be the only person that finds this annoying, right?
  20. As she boarded the ship, she was hit with an overwhelming smell of Doritos. There, in the corner was the real jack. He was laying on a beanbag chair and enjoying some cool ranch. "Yuck!" she exclaimed. "What happened to the...."
  21. God be with the families of those injured or worse. God be with those who are struggling with mental health. Please let them find peace and the help they need.
  22. Classic mistake. Even if what you got was better... you'll always wonder. and thus... the safe queen was born.
  23. That's when she realized that the box was a Fangorian mental discombobulator, and it was reaching critical mass!
