    Finger prints on the bulb and use a dielectric grease on the connectors. I have never had trouble on modern headlights. Knock on wood!

    Take off the slide and try it then and see what happens. Also you can take one or two rounds out and see if it locks in then. Is it a new pistol? If so may need some break in. Hope you get it working.

    I like RIA also. Had a couple of them and they worked well, got one in 9mm now and love it.

    If you really want soft shooting then go all metal, especially all steel. The weight absorbs the recoil. Something like a 1911 in steel chambered in 9mm.
