I would have asked the guy why he didn't call you when he realized you left your license there? Sounds like the guy was a bit on the shady side to me............JMHO

I just looked at my weather app radar and it shows that right now I should be having a wintry mix falling at my house and all over Gallatin and Darby and I just came in from our last walk of the evening and it's not doing anything except cold and windy. Some times I wonder about weather radar and how accurate it really is................

I use Stabil in everything even with using 100% gas with no ethanol. I use to use the Red Stabil and then the Marine Blue Stabil came out and I learned that it worked better in my outboards on my bass boat so now I use it in all my small motors like Lawn Mowers, weed eaters, chain saws and everything else and have for about the last 4 years. It sure makes for faster and easier start ups in the Spring when it comes time to begin using the items again. I just put it in each item in Fall and start it up and run it till it gets ran threw all the fuel system and fill the fuel tank and store them for winter. Good thing about the Marine Stabil is it is designed to work on items that have a oil gas mixture required.

According to our local weather I was suppose to wake up to rain and cold. I got the cold for sure wind chiil right now is 33. I just looked at Radar and it shows rain and some frozen precip noving up from the south and is just reaching lower edge of Davidson county so should get up here to me in Sumner County about 4PM but is says it will be all rain. No wintry mix like weather man said we should get today. I guess I will just have to wait and see what I actually get when it arrives...................

I agree probably most folks with small engines would buy it but if everyone bought it for lawn mowers and other small engines it would still not be profit effective for the oil companies to make it. Believe me I know about the 100% gas and I love it. I used it is all my bass boat outboards and even would put it in my tow vehicle I pulled the boat with and got great milage in both truck and boat. I also know the Gov.made the oll companies begin using renewable energy and yea corn was the cheapest. It helped the farmers but hurt the general public as it cut back on the miliage of about 90% of the cars on the highways were getting before it was added.

They can't stop making unleaded fuel because there are to many cars on the highways that require it. They should be able to make 100% gas for less because they would not need to puchase all the additional additives they put in unleaded fuel. They won't because there is not a big enough demand for 100% gas so the prices will remain higher. It's just like Diesel Fuel. They know that all the big trucks and many of the industries depend on diesel fuel to operate that have not converted over to Natural gas. So even though diesel it is much easier to make and requires a lot refining to make they charge a lot more for it and it makes their bottom line look a lot better at the end of the day.

Well I'm glad they finally decided to release news of the big oil strike that soon will be released that they knew about back in the 50's and just sat on it. That is what was done with the Bakken shale discovery back in 1950. I they found that oil lake of shale in 1950 and they did the reseach on how much it would cost to get it out of the ground and because it would cost about $3.00 a barrel more to get it out of the ground than they were paying for OPEC Crude they just shelved Bakken for an emergency. The Oil embargo by OPEC in 1975 was not seen as an emergency but was seen as a way to push the Fuel Prices/Profits up so they just sat on Bakken until someone leaked Bakken to the news and the secret was out. That is how American Oil Companies have been treating the American people since at least the 1950's. The story of Bakken is easy to research on Google. I'm guessing that this good news about this latest small ocean of oil was not news to the American Oil Companies. I'm guessing they have known about it probably about as long as Bakken. That was probably why they stopped all Wildcat Oil drilling in Texas back in about 1949/50.............JMHO

My Son has a pair of Bob Cats on his place but nothing as big as what you discribed. He also lives on south side of Cheatham County. I would not doubt there are some big cats in Cheatham County still. I know back many years ago when I was still on my Grandfathers Ranch we had Cougars cause when it snowed we would see their tracks and some of the live stock would be uneasy but never actually saw one. Lost a few chickens that roosted in the trees every night and granddad said Hell, they gotta eat to. He never got up set about a few chickens. Maybe there numbers tumbled for a few years and they are now coming back. With all the construction of their habitat I think there will be more sightings of them when they get closer to towns...........JMHO

Well kind of late to this party and don't really have a lot to add but will throw out my experience with the small LED flashlights. I was in TSC store here in Gallatin about a year ago and on the tool rack up in the front of the store was a card of 3 flashlights for $12.95. Since I didn't have any small LED flashlights I bought the 3 pack. Came home and put the batteries in that were supplied in AAA size and the lights seemed very bright. That night while walking Darby I looked over in the neighbors huge back yard that he keeps cut tight and I could believe how bright they lights are. There was a rabbit in the far corner of the yard and the flashlight not only lit up the rabbits bright red eyes but lit up the rabbit. I was totally impressed with the flash lights. Still have them and if they ever have them back on sale I will definately buy 3 more. Oh yea, I had to put new batteries in two of them about 2 months after buying them and when I put in new Duracel AAA batteries they were even brighter than when I first bought them.

Steve Dickerson (R-Nashville) to Introduce Red Flag Bill

In my opinion which is not much. "I say take the law and stuff it". It is just going to cause feuds in families, come between friends and even people in the snowflake catagory will be accusing someone of something just because they don't believe in the same thing. As far as the accuser paying double or even triple the damages the accused went through the only winner is the court system and lawyers. The damage is already done by this point. I still believe if you give the anti-gun people an inch of our rights according to the Constitution it is 1 inch to much!!!!! -
Well, I am sorry to hear about your friend for sure. It does sound like a spare of moment decision. My only issue I have in life except for getting old which is always part of life, Now don't ya'll laugh but my biggest challenge in life now is keeping up with all the meds I am suppose to take every day and the games my Med insurance company keeps playing. I have been playing musical pills with them for a couple years now. I just about how all the ducks in a row before my heart attack last January and at that point it all went to hell again. The heart doctor added about 5 different medications and kept me on about 4 of the ones I was on from my GP doctor. I have been working for a year again trying to get some order restored in that part of my life. My biggest issues I have found are the doctors will write a perscription for 1 fill and 5 refills on 30 day fills and the damn insurance tells Walgreens to fill them on 90 day fill. And then some meds are only written with 1 fill and 2 refills and they will do them all 90 at once. and I will be down to 4 or 5 pills of a Medicine that has a refill on it but the insurance company won't approve the fill till I am down to 2 pills sometimes because some months have 30 days and some 31 days. February is hell!!!!! I do my level best to make sure I have enough pills to get past that month by at least 2 months. My next trip to both of my doctors will be long talks. I am going to have each one of them go over my meds list carefully and eliminate any meds I really really really DON"T need. Example Heart doctor, has me on Plavix(major blood thinner) and also a low dose aspirin which is also a blood thinner. My blood is like water now and if I get the smallest cut or scratch I bleed like crazy. He and I will be talking about that. But anyway, that is my biggest challenge in my life and I sometimes actually laugh about it because it does keep me on my toes.

I think she will do ok as long as anti gun people don't hammer her and she has the support of the sheriff and her family and friends. -
It is getting to where every time you listen to the news you will hear of between 1&3 murder/suicides. If a person is going to take their own life they have a mental issue to begin with. I don't understand why they think they have to kill someone along with themselves. During general dicussions with friends the question has come up once and someone asked if anyone has ever considered even remotely about comitting suicide. My reply was HELL NO!! I love myself to much. They said just say you would think about it, would you want to kill someone with you? I finally ask him if he was considering doing it cause he was full of questions about it. There was about 4 or 5 of us that were just sitting around talking when the subject came up. I told him I would not take my own life under any conditions and I damn sure would not take a loved one or anyone else with me. That kind of ended the discussion on it. The guy was a friend and when he left he was with another friend. I called the friend that left with him later and ask him if he brought the subject up on the way home and he said no. We all kept an eye on him for a while and that was over a year ago and he has never brought the issue back up at any other gatherings. I wonder if there are really any warning signs people can look for when someone might be leaning that way...............

Don't you know all the anti-gun people wet their panties when they watched and listened to that Sheriff almost celebrating a woman protecting herself with a firearm and killing the bad guy with a head shot in the middle of the night. Also telling folks that everyone should get a CWP and trained on how to defend themselves with a firearm................... -

I applaud this lady for her actions in saving her life and using what she was taught plus getting a CWP for when she is not at home. I am also impressed that her one shot was a head shot. More stories like this need to be made far more public than they are. Chalk one up for the good guys and gals.................. -
Steve Dickerson (R-Nashville) to Introduce Red Flag Bill
bersaguy replied to Garufa's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That is my feelings exactly Fox. RED FLAG laws can get totally out of control in a heartbeat just as they did in Maryland ending in a mans unessary death just on the word of a distant extended family member making a complaint!!!! -
Steve Dickerson (R-Nashville) to Introduce Red Flag Bill
bersaguy replied to Garufa's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
After reading about that fiascal that took place in Maryland over RED FLAG law I think it is "NOT" a good idea for Tennessee. Like they say: "Give them an inch and you will be sorry you did!!" I know it's not exactly the saying but that is what normally happens. Most of us know that the law that gets introduced for us to see is not the law that gets passed. Words get changed here and there while passing through committee and the law that gets approved and passed is done before it is made and put up for public viewing. By then it's to late. This reminds me of the statement "You have to sign it to see whats in it!" You all saw what came out of that one. I won't agree with any Law that does not give the person being accused of an issue their day in court prior to the invasion of their homes to take their guns. Not because some distant extended family member just saying he has guns and is dangerous. That is what got the man killed in Maryland. During that day in court the accuser of said problem must be present in the court room and have to face the accused. Yes!! that would mean Innocent until proven Guility which is how our legal system is suppose to operate. If they want that kind of law, write it and then make it totally public for all to see and then put it on a ballot in the next election and let the people decide what is best for us. So it can't be changed in Committee and then we wil know for sure what we will be getting in the bill. If you are thinking I don't trust elected officials you are 100% correct, especially when they say it is a bipartisan bill. I also think like Chuck when it comes to getting in contact with your elected officials and asking questions and when folks get replies have a thread here to compare the replies from what you get from who you contact and see how many of them are on the same page and how many are out in left field somewhere. -
