Remember the evil white guy who shot the little black girl?
bersaguy replied to gregintenn's topic in General Chat
After getting a look at the shooter and a few of his accomplices How could anyone say the shooter was even close to white unless they were trying to sway the police in another direction. I just hope they put these guys in jail for ever and ever for killing that little girl........... -
If I could like that one 1000 times I would.................ROFLMAO

Remember the evil white guy who shot the little black girl?
bersaguy replied to gregintenn's topic in General Chat
I'm not at this point ready to say if the shooter was white, black, Red or any other color in a giant box of Crayons. I just want the shooter and anyone that was involved in the shooting brought to justice. There is no possible reason the death of a little 7 year old girl in a shooting can be justified and should not be. I do believe that the people that suffered the loss of that little girl does know who the shooter is and they are wanting Vigilante justice and want to take care of the shooter and all included personally. That is why they are probably saying it was a white guy to throw the police investigation in another direction. As far as a Race War. I don't see it happening because even though people talk tough in Social Media's like Face Book or Twitter it's easy to be tough wihile hiding behind a computer type device. I have several African American friends that have been my friends a very long time and they also believe as I do and we talk almost every day. I can remember back to the day Barrack Obama got elected a few of my friends came over the next day to visit. I also remember one of the saying that last night our country and our progress we have made went backwards 50+ years. I asked why he thought that and he said it will embolden people of our race in powerful places to think they can now get more done and in many cases not for the good. They don't approve of BLM or the Black Panthers or any other militant group. They said they are no better than the KKK or any other group of trouble makers. I hope we never see any type of race war big of small as there will be no winners but a lot of loosers............JMHO -

I have that same thought as David and don't believe there was ever a white dude. They are either trying the throw the authorities in another direction or it is gang related and they are afraid to actually give them the names of the people doing the shooting. We will probably never know the real truth. -

Steve Dickerson (R-Nashville) to Introduce Red Flag Bill
bersaguy replied to Garufa's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Ok Thanks, now how many people think Lee will approve and sign this bill? I for 1 hope he does not sign it or veto's it or what ever it takes to not let it get made into law but that is just me. One of his campaign promos was safer schools and I think training and arming teachers but not sure. I am not sure that is a bad idea and I am sure there are probably some teachers that probably have CCW permits already. I do know one thing for sure. Something does need to be done to protect our children across the state.............JMHO -

Because I am not all that smart at politics I want to aska question. When a representative presents a bill for consideration doesn't the Governor have to sign the bill before it becomes law? .......................Just curious?? -
Probably the best way to find the older history books is to look at what date the book was published. They all have a date somewhere in them when they were published or printed. You might look on Amazon as they have a lot of used older books they sell. Also at Wounded Knee women and children were also killed. The army had the indian incampment surrounded and army had the high ground.

Ok, That is good to a point but is it the true history with all of the negative issues or a cooked up version that is the what they want students to learn and not the full truth about our history? I guess if it is enough to peak the interests in students they can still do research to learn what is not being taught. I know my Sons both did all the research that I told them I had learned and they both did the additional studies on line and learned all they could about it. I think that may be why they are wanting to remove all the statues and rename buildings trying to hid what is not being taught. In all reality they are probably causing the young people to see what they might be trying to hide by doing this but who knows for sure? Not me!

That has been coming for years and was only a matter of time. That way they can have control over what a student learns and any attempts to research other stuff is made unavailable to them. I would bet in a classroom setting with that classes program loaded you can only research items related to that being taught by the teacher. Does anyone know if they even offer an American History class in Middle or High Schools these days. I might need to ask my DIL since she is home teaching 5 kids. Last thing I heard back years ago when my boys were in middle school they got new American history books and their was only one small chapter about the Civil war and Slavery was not mentioned in the chapter but mostly about Civil was and Abe Lincoln and a very little on Grant and Lee. I guess that must have been the period in time that they began re witing American History and try to hide the dark days in our nations history. I have never been one to be proud of that time in our country's history but it did happen and should not be hid but condemed to make sure it never repeats itself as at times history does have a way of repeating itself...........JMHO

I never had any birds when I was a kid but my mother did, LOTS of them but she was a Canary nut. I think at 1 time she may have had as many as 50. Some in what I called normal size cages and then some in really large cages. She loved to hear them sing and the bird room was about 1/2 of the back porch all enclosed with storm windows and pull drapes and heated for winter. You could hear them sing all over the house when she had to bird room door open. Back years ago after I grew up ever so often I would have wild Canarys around my house and I could hear them sing so I would put up a couple feeders designed just for them and put the wild Canary food in them and they would come and feed. I had red ones, blue ones and yellow ones and they all had black wings. They would sing up a storm at times. I have not had any in many years now but Doesn't really matter as my hearing is not good enough to hear them any more. Good luck with your new birds!!!!

Thats what happens when new car sales slow down. They make it harder and harder to find really good used vehicles. That is not a new game. They were doing that back in the 70's and 80's to.

The educators in our classrooms today don't want our youth to know about the real history of our country so they just quit teaching it. I learned about history of America all through Middle School and High School and in High School I also took classes in World History. I bet you cannot find an American history book from back when I was in High School in any classrooms today............JMHO

That is why I have always enjoyed the saying, "GOD created all men and Sam Colt made them all equal." I'm 71 year old and my health is not the best but I never leave home without something on my hip well concealed until it might be needed. I hope that day never comes but if it does it will be interesting for sure. -
So far the patches seem to be working. I have not been on them to long but am able to be around someone else that is smoking and I don't want to join them and light one up so I guess thats a good thing. I am on level 2 which is 14 MG and will be on that level for at least 45 more days before going to level 3 which is 7MG....................

Encouraging Women in Self Defense and the Shooting Sports

She was a wonderful person and had a beautiful soul and it took a little building to get her where she was. I didn't put the part in there about her ex peeing his pants when he saw the gun in her hand pointed directly at him and she was not shakng at all. She told him he had two choices Lay down face first on the floor or get shot. At first he hesitated til she clicked the safety off and he peed his pants while getting on the floor. We got a good laugh out of it but I think it did her the most good to know she didn't have to fear him beating on her any more. I wish I could have had more time with her but GOD had other plans but I was blessed all the time we did have together. -
Well I was never one to have any kind of alcoholic drink with a meal. Tried it once at a steak house with a steak and it just would not work for me. I was a sweet tea drinker with evening meals and coffee with morning meals.
-
Well, I have never been what you could call a alcohol drinker all that much but when I do it's normally a Jack Daniels brand of whiskey. Either Lem Motlow, Old #7 Black label or when I get the bug I will spend a few bucks more the buy the Gentlemen Jack. This 1/5th Tommy got me for Christmas I will probably be able to celebrate the year 2020 also if I am still around then. That is how much of a drinker I am these days. Back when I considered my self a drinker I would go through a 1/5th about every 6 months. I would come in from work, get a shower and then pour a little Jack over Ice and sip on it most of the evening while watching the tube and relaxing. Now with my health the way it is my doctor has told me a drink once in a while would be good for me but not every night any more so now it's maybe 2 a month at most so when I have one now I savor each one to the max..............
-
Well, I am not a Scotch person or a Burbon person so I guess that makes me an outcast because I am a Sour Mash Guy and my Son In Law made my day on Christmas when he handed me a 1/5th of Gentleman Jack. I had just finished up a 1/5th of Black label old #7 and was going to have to make a run to the store before New Years eve to have a toast to bring in 2019 but now all have to do is crack a seal and pour a little Gentlemen Jack on a few cubes of Ice and toast the new year.........................

Back before my wife passed away we together spent at least once a week at the range. When I met her she had never fired a gun of any kind and was just coming out of a very abuasive marriage of 17 years. She never spoke much abou it and I had to drag it out of her what she went through. She had an order of protection out against him after the divorce which he violated regularly. She would call the police but by the time they arrived he would be gone. He actually kicked her door in twice. The police arrested him those two times, slap on the wrist and he was out again. I had a small 25 caliber semi auto I taught her how to shoot 1st so she would at least have something she could keep at home and it would be better than nothing. I was impressed how quick she caught on to the little gun. At 3 yards she was able to to put 5 rounds in a coffee cup saucer size circle. I told her to just focus on center mass and shoot till the gun was empty if she ever had to use it. She told me that knowing she had it and knowing she knew how to shoot it was the first night she actually was able to sleep and rest. As time went on I took her back to the range and moved her up to the 380's and she caught on very fast and I was impressed with her progress. There did come a time that the 25 was needed but she never had to shoot him. He kicked in her front door on a Sunday morning about 9AM. She waited for him to enter the house as I told her to after she dialed 911. When the police arrived he was laying face down on the floor with his hands behind his back and she was sitting in a chair waiting for them to arrive. That was the last time he ever came back. He got 11/29 and 5 years probation and the judge told him if he violated probation he would serve every day of the 5 years. We still went to the range a couple times a month till she passed away and she improved every trip. Like I said earlier, I think all women need to take a course and get trained with a hand gun and get a CCP to protect them selves and their children. I wish you all the best in your endeavor to teach women how to defend themselves. -
In all honesty I don't think a lot of these palces really care about your security being the reason they won't let folks that are legal to carry aren't allowed to. I think it's just a power thing saying this is my show and I am telling you NO, you cannot bring your gun in.................JMHO

There was a woman killed by her ex boyfriend just last week that had an order of protection against him. I have thought for a long time that women need to get more involved in firearms and self defense. An order of protection is a piece of paper and will not stop a bullet so next best thing as far as I'm concerned is a trained armed woman defending herself and her children...........JMHO -
Well since New Years eve is only a couple days away so how about hearing some of the New Years Resolutions folks here have made for 2019. I have made up my mind to continue not smoking as long as these patches keep working and also lose some of the weight I have gained since quitting a while back!! Also going to try and make a few more range trips to get back on target a little bit. Lets hear some others!!!................
