  1. Of course any Sheriffs in any state that goes against the anti gun politicians won't get the press they deserve for defending the Constittion and 2nd Amendment. The people that elected their Sheriffs need to be commended for picking a man/woman that will uphold the oath they took to stand by and support the Constitution. It tells the anit-gun politicians that the citizens of America has a Constitution that was written for the people by the Founding Fathers and not for the politicians to tread on like it does not exist. We need a lot more Sheriffs and and maybe some Governors should start speaking up and saying NOT IN MY STATE!! Maybe inventual those gun grabbers in DC will get the message that the Constitution is the LAW of THE LAND and not them and their big money people............JMHO
  2. I don't know?? He's a city Police chief and the city overwhelmingly voted against it so I doubt the city council, police Commisioner or Mayor will be to fast at firing him over refusing to act on an un-Constitutional Law after taking an oath 3 times to defend the Constitution............JMHO
  3. Try the one I just posted Erik. https://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoors/kentucky-man-bags-deer-with-decapitated-buck-head-stuck-in-its-antlers
  4. Man thats about as strange as it gets right there .https://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoors/kentucky-man-bags-deer-with-decapitated-buck-head-stuck-in-its-antlers
  5. And they claim they want to come here in peace and not cause any trouble. What catagory of trying to kill a police officer is peaceful???
  6. Well I guess I am lucky in that sense. Darby can't talk and if she could the only abuse she could complain about is to much spoiling. My neighbors are all gun owners and we watch out for each other. All of my family are gun owners. I do my best to fly under everyones radar. Hope our new Governor is a Pro-gun 2nd Amendment person. I think he is since he wants to train and arm the teachers in the schools.................JMHO
  7. RIP Mr Clark. I use to never miss Hee Haw. Favorite show while growing up.
  8. Yep, for sure any guy that even thinks his ex-wife might do this might just decide to either leave that state or just do a murder suicide and be done with it. If they are already having major issues they cannot settle things it could get really ugly really quick. I'm sure glad Tennessee is not a red flag state>>>>>>>>>>>YET!!!!!!!!!! Don't really know that much about Bill Lee but if he wants to arm teachers I don't think he is a Red Flag kind of guy............JMHO
  9. Well for what it's worth here is the reason the man died and who made the complaint and why? https://foxbaltimore.com/news/local/red-flag-law-anne-arundel-police-serving-order-to-remove-guns-shoot-kill-armed-man
  10. Interesting read from USA Today: https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2018/04/19/red-flag-laws-strip-gun-rights-violate-constitution-column/526221002/
  11. Back when I hunted I always used Winchester 150gr Silver Tips and was never dissappointed with their performance. All my children and grandchildren are still using them as far as I know.
  12. I do have an issue with Orders of Protections. LIke you have said, when it comes down to needing one of those they more often than not turn out bad with someone being killed. I don't have an answer for those except I would never get one against anyone. There are also cases where the police are called out to a domestic dispute that appears to get settled and within a day of two someone or sometimes entire families are killed in murder suicides. Things like that will never be stopped whether a gun is used or any number of other weapons, knife lead pipe, hammer, ball bat, even arson etc etc. As far as having someone come to court to tell them they are going to take away their guns of course would never work. There should be a hearing in which the person gets to face their accuser and be able to provide a defense before the order is handed down to take the guns. The reason they don't want to do that is look how many cases would have to be heard and how much time the courts would have to spend just on these cases. The state has just decided to bully their way through this and it got a man killed. I for 1 would like to know what the extended family member put up as a reason for them to go after the mans guns. I doubt we will ever know????
  13. Welcome to TGO. It looks like Knoxville and the surrounding area is going to be getting pretty crowded before to much longer. A lot of folks have been looking at that area recently.......................
  14. There is little doubt that it is another foot in the door and I think if it gets in front of the Supreme Court it will get the door slammed on their foot and all of the Red Flag bills will get declared Unconstitutional. It's just a matter of getting it into the Courts hands. You can bet with the death of the man in Maryland the bills are being looked at very carefully by many people and some that have the power to put in in front of the court...........JMHO
  15. This is probably not gonna make much sense but going to say it anyway. The man that was killed over his guns had never been arrested or even a traffic ticket and a complaint from some extended family member was the one the made the request that they just take his guns and it got him killed. I think who ever this person was should be required to file a complaint and provide a reason for the Confiscation for the records should it go to court. Of course this one won't be except maybe Civil Court. The CA shooter had been in trouble with the law when he was young and again when he returned home from Marine Corps. The reason the Mental Crisis Unit was called to his home was because he was having as issue of domestic violence and kicking holes in the Walls of the home they lived in. Now maybe some people don't see a difference between the 2 cases but I do..............JMHO
  16. Yep, an armed robbery that turned into much much more than it should have. They should have had a warrant of some kind to give the man instead of just telling him they were there to disarm him. I hope his family sues everyone connected to this crime cause that is what it is. That will probably be the only way to get it in front of the Supreme Court..............JMHO
  17. If a person places a 22 LR round in the right place a bad guy will go down like a ton of bricks. NO, IT IS NOT a self defense weapon but can be as deadly as any hand gun out there in the right hands of someone with knowledge of bullet placement..........JMHO
  18. Ok so I will admit I am dumb when it comes to some of this but doesn't laws need to go through the process of House-Senate-President and signed by President before it is law? Especially when the law is unconstitutional to begin with!!!!
  19. I have been kicking around buying a little ammo but I would have to buy another ammo safe because I cannot get another 50 round box of 22lr's in my other one much less any 380's. I might get tempted if I find a sale on either 22lr's or 380's but it would really have to be on sale...............
  20. I was just about to ask that same question..............lol
  21. Yea , that was a big ship and Mother Nature had no mercy on it what so ever.
  22. Sorry I could not give you better information but deer hunting land is hard to come by and unless your in a lease with a few guys of personally know someone that owns some land you pretty much out of luck for this year. If your going to live here locally don't give up as there is always next year and you will have till next year to find some land to hunt.
  23. I can remember hunting with a buddy of mine in Muzzle loader back years ago and I can tell you this. When he shot one they didn't walk anywhere. We where hunting the Islands on Percy Priest Lake before they added them to Long Hunter Park and he was up in a tree stand surrounded with Cedar branches and I was down the ridge was him about 40 yards. I saw this big 8 point walking on top of the ridge and knew it was going to walk within 15 to 20 yards right in front of him. Sure nuff, I saw his Hawkins barrel come out of the cedar branches so I focused on the deer though my scope. When he fired I watched the deer get pushed about 5 feet straight side ways and fall down. Never even kicked. He hit the deer in left front shoulder and needless to say front shoulders were junk. Just to let folks know Steve was a meat hunter and he couldn't get a neck shot which is were he prefers to shoot a deer so he took what he had. He is a big guy and he uses maximum powder load the gun will handle and hand casts his own bullets and they are very soft and expand to about the size of a silver dollar when he takes them out of the deer. Many times he saves them and makes new rounds out of them. Steve lived off the land and if he didn't hunt food he grew it in a huge garden and he as his wife canned food they grew. He didn't own much more than the small house they lived in and the 200 acres of land he owned. Wife coked on a wood stove and they heated with wood. Drove and old Ford truck or his tractor around his land. He never had a land line phone but did buy two cheap Cell phones back years ago so he and his wife could keep in touch with each other and a few friends. Never owned a computer. I have not talked to him is several years. Tried calling him a couple times with no luck. He lives about 90 mles from me so I don't go visit. Don't even know if he is still alive.
