I'm not a preper either. The way my health has declined in the last couple years I don't even buy green Bananas anymore. Found out the other day on the news that the FDA said some Blood Pressure medicines doctors have been perscribing for quit a few years causes cancer and one of them I have been taking for over 18 years. Can't really fault the doctors since acccording to the news they just discover this about 6 months ago. My heart attack and surgery for it will be a year old next month and I'm still not running on all cylinders yet but doing everything to doctor tells me to do. He said walking was important. No need worrying about that part. Darby has to walk at least 5 times a day rain or shine. I know my neighbors think I have lost my mind out in a heavy rain walking her but rain does not bother her as long as theres no thunder in it. Oh well, just another day in Paradise!!!!..................

I don't know if there is any members here that travel Lebanon Road between Hermitage and Mt. Juliet but their use to be a huge place across from Shilo Plaza on the right side going towards Mt.Juliet that sold wood. Split and round logs for fireplaces and wood stoves. I have not been through there in a couple years so don't know if it's still there. Maybe a member here can tell you if they are still selling wood there.

Well I won't say that LEOs are all trigger happy. Their are some men and women that should not be wearing a police uniform, thats for sure. They have a chip on their shoulder when they put it on and the chip remains when they take it off. My issue is what kind of a country would it be without the good ones that perform their jobs and don't have the attitude the few bad ones have. IMO I would rather have the good ones but sometimes you have to take a little bad to see the good.

Alaska suffered a major earthquake this morning that hit near Anchorage and from what I saw on the news it was a 7.0 and done some serious damage. They are doing a major inspections all along the pipeline.

It's easy for the gun grabbers in America to say we are the worst of the worst because our news networks don't broadcast all the mass shootings around the world like they use to. One network use to brag about having World News Today with Walter Cronkite but it died when he died...................

My next to oldest brother didn't like his name even though he was named after a famous President and a famous train company so he told every one to call him Joe. His name was Dwight Lionel which was after Dwight Eisenhower and the great toy maker of trains, Lionel. He was called Joe so much that many people thought that was his real name. It made his teachers mad when they would use his real name when they called on him in class and he didn't reply back. After a while the teachers began calling him Joe also........................

They made that bed so let them lay in it. Maybe some of these companies that jump on the anti-gun train might want to do some research first to see how many people in this country purchase guns, own guns and hunt with guns. It's not just the right that own gun! People on the left purchase them also and they hunt also.........JMHO

I think that would depend on who you ask I think. I think there is a big difference between Global Warming and Climate Change. I'm more of a Climate Change person and the Earth is just going through more of a natural change as it has at least a dozen or more times in it's history..........JMHO

My oldest grandson Justin has one my son bought him when he was 8 and last year Justin bought one for Logan his baby brother at age 11 since they are hunting partners. My son Ronnie bought one when he was about 20. I never bought one because I knew after getting hit by that truck and all the problems I had just trying to work I would not be doing a lot of big game hunting.

I will look into getting one of those cause I have never trusted gas heat 100% anyway is why I got 2 Smoke and Toxic detectors when I moved in here. I'm not sure the detector your talking about would be of benefit being lower to the floor since all my vents are in the ceiling in this house.

Yep, even if it's a small pocket pistol. Something is better than nothing maybe even more important this time of year. Stay safe my friend. If you need one it is better to have one. What is all Uber can do besides fire you for breaking the rules but at least that would be better than the alternative...........JMHO
