  1. I think for the most part that we have a definite pack, or heard, mentality. Whomever is in our group we accept and protect. As comical as it sounds I think of the movie Independence Day where the world came together to fight a common foe. Arabs and Jews working together was poignant.
  2. Hitting it would be logical. :)

  4. No, they wouldn't. If the world was nothing but whites then we'd discriminate against those with blue eyes. Look at Africa's tribal wars, for instance.
  5. What judge DOES like it? :squint:
  6. I didn't say that would actually happen. We know how everyone feels about helping the truly poor.
  7. The same advancements came from orbital missions. The driver for going to the moon was to one up the Russians, nothing more.
  8. The major difference being DISTANCE.
  9. Please tell me how will these pictures will benefit YOU in your lifetime? Humans will destroy their selves long before anyone can colonize even Mars.
  10. $700,000,000 spent on pictures. I wonder how many folks in the US that would have lifted out of poverty, fed, sheltered, etc?
  11. I find it comical that they worry about the cost of removing signs when they put up numerous stupid signs along Murfreesboro Road to inform passers-by that the road is old.
  12. BTW: Wasn't it not too long ago the military was fussing about the lack of penetration of the 5.56 on the battlefield? Now they worry about over-penetration?
  13. So what you're saying is the Army can't shoot...got it! Why not give them all .22LR and problem solved?
  14. I was up at the Nashville Dodge this morning getting the oil changed in my Ram. They have an orange R/T with a Mammoth Kenne Bell on the showroom floor. No price tag and the doors locked with the hood up. It was early so I didn't bother to ask them how much they were raping, err, asking for the car.
  15. I was thinking the exact same thing! LOL!
  16. Yeah, I should have been more clear. I was referencing the Diamondback for the acceleration efforts. It is much more loose than the Tail but I still kept up with the GT500. The Roadrunner engine has a pretty impressive power curve.
  17. Naw, like I said I'm done with those cars. I miss the BOSS a great deal, but it's not something that I want to get back into. I sold the BOSS because it went from a daily driver to a $1,000 month toy that sat in the garage due to lifestyle changes. I will say that the picture of the new GT500 was pretty mean-looking! I've seen pictures of the GT350 too. If they put the Roadrunner engine, (not just the heads), in the Mustang GT it would be cool to add the suspension and brake upgrades to make a pseudo-BOSS out of it without the price tag.
  18. I wanted that too. Too bad they didn't do it. The BOSS handles corners like you wouldn't believe, and the engine braking worked great!
  19. Personally, I'm done with performance cars with crazy horsepower. I absolutely loved my BOSS 302 with its mere 450HP. I had no problems keeping up with my friend's 650HP GT500 on both the Tail Of The Dragon and the Diamondback. Damn! I miss that car!
  20. It is a pretty hefty pig at that!
  21. No argument there, but being capable of controlling it has never seemed to stop people from buying them. But switching to the Coyote/Roadrunner engine, (plus the disagreements with Shelby Co), is why Ford was looking at the change from the GT500 to the Mach I. I got that from the car-buyer for Jay Leno a few years ago. They get briefed by all of the major car players. Originally, the Mach I was to be a replacement for the GT500 when Shelby's contract expired. Whether it happens, who knows?
  22. You may well be correct: however, the 5.0 isn't in the gas guzzler category like the GT500 was, and I don't think Ford will allow the Hellcat to go unanswered. People have pushed the Roadrunner engine past 750 RWHP before the input shaft gave out, so it's feasible.
  23. As hard as it is to do I'd recommend that you refrain from using #### off or any other inflammatory language in response so you cannot be accused of escalating the situation. At least when you are armed.
  24. I heard some time ago that it was going to be a twin turbo 5.0 and called Mach I.
