  1. There are some thiings that I just can't get past. For instance when an artist ihas cast their self in a particular light like Bruce Willis who always was cast as the hero until The Jackel, and then he couldn't convince me of the part.
  2. Company A is a large IT vendor based out of Texas with an office in Nashville and has a business agreement with company B, (who is a specialized IT vendor), to sell company B's product for them. Part of that agreement is that Company B is not allowed to hire Company A's employees into company B. This is not to be construed as simply constraining company B from the solicitation of company A's employees, but rather is even if the employee applies for a publicly announced position for company B they cannot hire the employee regardless of their qualifications for the position. This agreement is made without the consent of company A's employees.   Is this a legal arrangement? It seems to me to be a conspiracy to limit the professional and financial future of company A's employees.
  3. From whom do you think I learned that lesson from? RR liked to talk real tough, but post-Beirut Bombing I learned all that I cared to know about him.
  4. Both parties have used US military as cannon fodder from time-to-time for various, (and normally selfish), reasons. This will change nothing. The only way either side will care is if enough voters stand-up in outrage - which also will not happen.
  5. Personally, I've never understood people giving any weight to what an actor says: actor = professional liar.
  6. Personally, I would not exactly advertise my presence to the general public, but it's not like they have too many options either. It's not like Oblamo would allow the DoD to invite them into the offices to be comfortable and all. I think this is just more as an open statement of support to all as a reminder.   EDIT: I know all to well how quickly Americans tend to forget. I saw it firsthand in 1983.
  7. Terrorists want to cause as much damage and chaos as they can, so they are not likely to go up against these people. No one is going into a conflict with armed resistance when they can inflict more damage at a "soft" target: therefore, these people are accomplishing something, and just because there's no empirical evidence to point to doesn't mean that it's not happening.
  8. It pretty much so is now days. The irritating part of my wife's experience was following the eye drops protocol and waiting between the two eye surgeries, (they only do one at a time). It's not all that stressful, but my wife's doctor gave her Valium to relax her, (she couldn't even handle putting in contacts if she had to), and they only use local anesthetic, (numbing drops), in the eye.
  9. No he's not. He screwed up my LASIK twice. I now have 20/25 in my left eye and 20/30 in my right eye after the second procedure. I gag every time I see his "precision" commercial. He strung me along until the 1 year statute of limitations ran out and then dropped me like a hot potato!
  10. Yes. The LASER is used to cut into the eye. Don't get too wrapped up in the LASER part. It's just used to make a precise and clean cut in the side of the eye that heals quicker with less problems. They use ultrasound to break-up the lens of the eye, and then suction the pieces out. They then insert the replacement lense. It only takes 15 or so minutes when they get rolling.
  11. My wife just had cataract surgery in both eyes last fall. She is completely happy with the outcome. She needs reading glasses only for small print, and she sees just fine at night now. Don't waste your time with the high-dollar multi-focal lenses because they rarely are worth the money you have to spend to get them, and some hate them bad enough to wish they'd never gotten them to begin with. There's a lot of prescription drops that you have to do before and after the surgery.
  12. Yet it hasn't even when the Republicans have the majority. What's that tell you?
  13. I was wrong:   If you've moved to a TN county that requires emissions inspections, you'll need to have it tested before you register it. An emissions certificate is required for vehicle registration. Required counties and completion instructions are found below. Inspection Requirements and Exemptions Inspection Requirements The following counties require emissions checks on qualifying vehicles: Hamilton. Davidson. Rutherford. Sumner. Williamson. Wilson. Your vehicle qualifies for inspection within those counties if it is: Model year 1975 and newer. Powered by gasoline or diesel. AND Weighs 10,500 lbs. or under. Emissions tests are valid for 90 days.
  14. I think that MARTA applies to recent years.
  15. http://ramforum.com/ and look in the 3rd gen threads.   I have a 2014 which has the DEF crap that you can't take off. Some say the engine change at halfway through the 2007 was bad. That site has plenty of owners who can tell you straight up.
  16. It may not be as sexy, but it's certainly cheaper than a Hellfire missile!
  17. Points for creativity!:)
  18. A really cool thing to go to jail on?

    Donuts

Not in Wilson County, best donuts that I've had in Tennessee is Dixon Donuts. Whenever I camp at Montgomery Bell I visit them at least once.
  20. Given today's environment, would you want to be the property owner making headlines by denying protection to our military members?
  21. Like just about everything, the Devil is in the details.
  22. I think he's saying that the story of the circumstances around the seizure is too incredible for him to believe: therefore, you must be being lied to.
