With Haslam stating in the news that school parking lots being exempt is "crucial" for his support, what's the chance of a veto? I know I wrote a rather pointed email to his office telling him it's time to stop being a RINO which was acknowledged with a "thanks for your opinion" response. :shrug:

I would agree that over all the civilian market is larger, but specific to some manufacturers they aren't.   I just think refusing to sell to MIL/LEO would be a HUGE sacrifice to their profitability, and it ain't gonna happen.

How many civilians buy let's say the M&P 45 for instance? How many MIL/LEO are there in other countries who buy US arms?

I believe that the Mil/LEO market is far bigger than the civilian market. Is see this going nowhere.

Kind of a difficult thing to do if you live on base. I didn't own a gun when I lived on base because I didn't want to have to get my CO's written permission to go shoot, and have to turn it in to the armory when I got back.

Just because they can doesn't mean that they will. Have them sign up for the selective services, and if they volunteer without a contract let's see how many get put in combat units like the men do.

Scientists have demonstrated that when a person has made-up their mind on a belief system the receptive portion of their brain shuts down. This is one of the reasons why politics and religion incite so much arguing and are verboten topics in many social circles such as work. It is only when they are driven away - disillusioned - from their belief that they are receptive to change. This is why both sides are quick to blame the other for their failings whether it is true or not. The people that share their belief system are predisposed to accept the excuse, and you won’t sway the other side to begin with.

I think that it's a good call, David. Price gouging pisses me off too, but it is between the purchaser and seller; not a 3rd party. If one is dumb enough to pay the price then so be it. But I also think that if someone openly asks another member's opinion about whether they think a price is reasonable then said member should be free to opine.

It really doesn't matter what Obama wants because he cannot make and pass laws on his own. This is something that I'm sure annoys him. You can bet that the Representatives and Senators care what the mainstream opinion is, and I'd wager they know exactly what happened to the majority of politicians who voted for the last AWB.
