  1. I saw one interview with a High School friend that stated he was a great guy and always carried a Bible. So I guess the religion bashing will start soon.
  2. Just saw another new story. Shooter still insists it wasn't racial. However, MSM is going on and on about how 6 victims were asian and 7 were women. Various politicians and political groups are already latching on to racial element and preaching about racial violence, especially against asians. Typical politicians. never let a good tragedy go to waste. If it doesn't quite fit your agenda, make it.
  3. Crazy guy kills 8 people fits right into the anti-gun agenda. I bet democrats are chewing their nails waiting to see if the shooter bought the gun legally and passed a background check. God help us if he didn't.
  4. I was just going by what was in the story. The Police made a point of saying there was no info about services offered.
  5. This just out. Shooter is taking responsibility, however also says it is not a hate crime. He's a sex addict and was trying to remove the temptation these places give him. No word yet on if these places actually performed those type services. You can bet that MSM and the democrats are still gonna push the racism angle.
  6. I went to the Parsons show a couple of times a few years ago. Small, over priced and not worth the trip. I've never bothered going back. However, bear in mind that shows have been shut down for a long time due to covid. Some interesting stuff might show up. But I'll also bet that prices will be crazy. If you go, give us a report.
  7. The thing is that 4 of the dead women are Korean. Not Chinese. What a dumb ass!
  8. I'm thinking the case ruptured. Anybody got a link with more info? I'm curious as if this was a reload or not?
  9. Looks like the MSM is already putting a racist slant to this. I certainly hope that's not true. What kind of complete idiot could blame Asian-Americans for Covid-19?
  10. I have a friend in the middle part of the state that caught the Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever about a year and a half ago. I haven't seen him in a while, but mutual friends tell me that he still hasn't fully recovered.
  11. Yep, standard S&W K-frame square butt. Unlimited choices for replacements. I am curious. What grips were on it? I'm surprised they broke like that. Plastic?
  12. I had my doubts at first. But at my age and condition I have a bunch of different doctors. Seems like I see at least one of them every month just for a routine check up. Every one of them was unanimous in recommending I take the shot. So I signed up as soon as I was eligible. I've had the first and will get the 2nd in the 3rd week of this month.
  13. Of the two, I'd go with the SA .357. Much more versatile with ammo selection and just better suited to the task asked for. As for myself, I much prefer a DA revolver in either .44 Special or .45 Colt. I also agree that an encounter with a bear is extremely unlikely. More likely critter encounters would be feral hogs or wild dogs. Even that is pretty slim. The real threat is from bad people.
  14. I'll simply say it looks like a good shoot to me. Too bad backup didn't arrive sooner. But then they may have had their hands full at the time too. Lots of valid points on other aspects of it, but I won't judge. The good guy won. That's all that really matters.
  15. Well that's why I wasn't interested in buying it. I shoot everything I own.
  16. That is true. Congress has no understanding of their own legal limits. However, if it were pushed into the courts, I see no way it could stand under current law.
  17. I removed the mag safeties in the FEG and FM. It did make a small difference in the trigger pull. However, for me the big thing is that now magazines drop free when ejected. I decided to leave the MK III all original. Yep, I've seen that one listed in the Memphis Armslist. The seller has it listed as a Belgian gun when its clearly a standard MK III which states on the slide and is readable in the photos "Made in Belgium, Assembled in Portugal" . This is not the same as a true "Made in Belgium" pistol and does not command a premium price. BTW: up until a day or so ago the was a nickle plated Hi-power with gold accents listed. Darn thing is too pretty to shoot.
  18. I hadn't thought of that. Would make a valid legal argument against the universal background checks the feds have been pushing for years. Brilliant! Why hasn't anybody brought this up before? Added: I just sent e-mails to my Congress Critters to remind them of this fact.
  19. Damn Dude! You're just evil!
  20. I first ran into the Texas Star when shooting IDPA. When you're on the clock, I hate that thing.
  21. Now is the time for all those millions of new gun owners in restrictive states to speak up and contact their democratic congress critters. I've seen more than a few post about how much hassle it was and how pissed they got trying to buy their first gun.
  22. The news is Shelby County is both good and bad. Active cases are down to 1302. Lowest that's been in a very long time and the count seems to be dropping every day. The bad news is that deaths have now reached 1517. So while there are fewer cases, they seem to be getting worse.
