  1. No gun, but did get some cash that will go towards a scope and mount for my new-ish rifle.
  2. Yep, couldn't get on it all morning. Then, after I tried twice in a row, my computer wouldn't load any website. Did a re-start and other pages loaded fine again. Was getting ready to put my tinfoil hat on and start yelling about some conspiracy theory.     Was able to get on it later this afternoon. I've noticed it's been really glitchy and on my phone it redirects me to other sites all the time. Kinda sucks too cause I'm always skimming it.
  3. While work is really good, it can suck sometimes - I will be missing once again  .
  4. Buying another G19 just for dry fire was one of the best thing's I ever did. It's also my usual gun for IDPA/USPSA and such, but 90% of the time its used for dry practice (almost nightly) - no more loading/unloading my carry gun all the time - not cheap, but well, well worth it .    As for switching from 40 to 9, I made the switch about 2 years ago. Everything seemed better/easier with the 9, not to mention cheaper. I've never looked back, but do have a few 40 cal's in the stable that aren't going anywhere.
  5. Sweet, gonna have to make this one.  I missed too many this year.   Really look forward to running some of the qualification tests again.
  6. Yep, got the same packet. Been thinking about becoming a lifer too -  Just wish I could get them to promise to quit sending me so much CRAP if I do!   I do like the paypal and 11/11 idea.
  7. /\ That sucks! /\   A UGA fan here -  who used to enjoy watching TN find ways to loose, but that ended about a season ago. Its just gotten so bad, I've found myself pulling for them to get decent wins.     Yep, this EXACTLY - no other way to describe it.
  8. Yep, the internet is your friend when looking for mags. I've also scored lots of used mags looking on armslist and on gun forums in the "for sale" listings.   Just scored 9 older  Glock 17 mags  for 105 shipped earlier this week  Got some used LEO M&P 40 mags a few weeks ago for $15 each.   I haven't paid more than $20/each + shipping  for glock mags yet.
  9. Of these two choices, they both should be for rent at any decent gun range/store. Rent them both and see which you like best. I've seen more than one person prefer the M&P while holding one, but then give the preference to the glock after shooting them.   You will be well served by either.   The full size m&p is a tad on the large size for carry - but odds are, you'll have more than one by the time you get to carrying anyways
  10. Nice write up Randy. I have heard and read a little bit about the Rogers shooting course, thanks for the detailed descriptions of the tests .   Some pretty stout time limits!! Congrats on your score and top place finish in your class (Although not surprising at all).   I'm pretty sure I'm not ready for something like that yet, but will put it on my bucket list for training.
  11. Pretty great read here for someone looking into AIWB carry (nws)   https://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?120-AIWB-%28Appendix-Carry%29    Been carrying this way for about 3 years. It does demand absolute commitment to safety and awareness, IMO.
  12. Wow, pretty impressive stuff.   And I thought my range sessions were a little expensive.
  13. "Shooter are you ready?" :squint: (me) - "front sight"  "front sight"  "front sight"   "Stand by"  BEEP!! :squint:   "Oooo targets!!!!" :dirty:   POW, POW, POW, POW, POW, POW, POW, POW, POW, POW . . . . . . . :ugh:   :ugh:    :censored:  "front sight"  "front sight"  :wall:
  14.   Even though I really dislike indoor square ranges, I can't wait till their range is open - really miss being able to drive 5 minutes down the road and shoot, hope they have a good annual membership rate.   60 yard range and force on force sounds great. Will have to go in soon and check them out.
  15. To go shoot USPSA, turned out to be one of the best I've shot in a while.
  16. Havent done it myself but read somewhere that filling medicine bottles or small stuff with flour is fun to watch explode.
  17.   Yep, this. I avoid walmart as much as possible - life is better without it.
  18. I would dare to bet he had a LOT more than just alcohol in his system. That looks like some combo of pills and alcohol to me.
  19. Hmm, forgetting my carry gun and buying a brand new gun, loading it up and trusting it for my carry gun - 2 things I hope to never do.   And how did you carry it? Did you have a holster or buy a new one?   But anyways, congrats on the new gun.
  20. Very nice, congrats. Think you got a pretty good deal.   I will be popping my AR cherry in the next month or two and plan on going with the exact same rifle.
  21. As long as you were not handling a weapon during a cold range or muzzle sweeping him.   More than once at ranges, I've inquired about someone's firearm out of curiosity to then have them muzzle sweep the crap out of me, once with a loaded gun.
  22.   Hmm, guess I was just a little off  . Maybe that was when they added the 678, anyways - been doing it for a long time now.
  23. Having been from Atlanta, I remember having to use 10 digits since around '99-'00 - 770,404,678 - think they've got more now. I've been doing it ever since.   Really, almost since I started using a cell phone I've been dialing (ok storing) 10 digit phone numbers.   Just another sign - too many darn people!
