Contact your US Senators/Representative via GOA
Omega replied to GlockSpock's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Just joined but they do have National Exposure: https://gunowners.org/goa-vs-cnn.htm -
Sure, just as I think it is reasonable to restrict cell phone ownership, which cause more teen deaths, as they do guns. I really could care less what some ignorant, not stupid, ignorant, folks think. Many just don't comprehend what the whole 2A is about, hell many don't understand the actual words let alone the meaning: https://anotherslice.life/2018/02/19/wait-a-second/#comment-13875

Didn't your parents ever teach you not to play with your food? Here at the homestead, all manner of critters are safe from the table, out at my hunting area, anything goes.

Sent the e-mail to Blackburn via GOA, joined for the year (wanted the 50cal GOA Bullet ), but will up that to lifetime upon re-up. Ok, just added both senators as well through GOA, just in case they missed my other direct emails. -
Man, the lefties are chomping at the latest anti-Trump bit. I'm going to go with a wait and see approach with this; with some letters to our reps of course. Too much BS is being thrown out there right now, just like after Sandy Hook, but not a dang thing was done then, except the shortages of course. So far it's a bunch of rhetoric from both sides, I expect another "squirrel" event to take this unto the back page of the paper soon. And to be perfectly honest, I'd sooner elect a rock instead of Hillary, but will blast Trump as I would Hillary when it comes to our rights. If he is as smart as many think he is, he is well aware what an anti-gun bill would do to his base, and he has no chance without us.

Minimum Age to purchase a handgun in TN
Omega replied to RottenBlood's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
There should then be a push to raise the criminal statutes to 21 as well then, if an 18-20yo can't be trusted with weapons because of what, Immaturity? Then maybe they're to young to know what they're doing legally??? Military? Fugget about it! JMHO. -
Anyone still interested I seen this ad on craigslist: https://clarksville.craigslist.org/spo/d/mre-cases/6507585549.html

If it is the call to restrict magazines to 5 rounds will be right around the corner.
-
Oh, we have learned quite a bit, we are now better trained in marksmanship to make every round count. Reading the account via a few sources, I'm surprised there wasn't more done to stop these criminals from burning and looting in the town and school before the shooting took place.

Companies ending partnerships with NRA

They will survive, I have gone in there once or twice, the first time was because of a gift card and I had to just get "something" to spend the card. Their prices were not good enough to bring me back. I can't imagine their business depends on the overpriced guns. And the AR prices have dropped so much that there can't be much profit margin anymore. But there is a segment of sportsmen that will stop using them because of it, so I am sure they will feel the pinch. I know I won't step foot in it anymore, no matter their prices now. -
I'll have to give that a try, I just keep thinking that ballistics labs use water to capture pristine rounds for matching slugs so have avoided that.
-
What recipe did you use, and did you calibrate it or just for fun? I was thinking of doing something like that to get some captured bullets for a display board.

No, it is a decisive win. When you can walk away from a fight, it is a win.

I've seen people continue to fight after 7.62, so no caliber is immune to having a perp continue the fight. In a life and death situation, the trick is to fight until there is no fight left in your opponent.

Might be cheaper to rent a gator, check with JD, dealerships, they may have something.

I think all stripped lowers are "other" until assembled, that is why you should make it into a pistol first, then a rifle. I would have them transferred to BP, many stores do that.

It's always my policy to eliminate all enemy combatants in the field, good for the kid. I think the dying scene took way too long though, at the end I was "Just die already".

Yea, I seen her take a couple questionable shots, lucky thing for the mother there was no passthrough, but the fact that she kept engaging is to be commended.

Which brings up the questions; where was he shot and what bullet type and caliber were used?

This video shows why you keep engaging the threat until the threat stops, or you run out of bullets. Notice how the perp has been hit, at least twice but still gets one of the guns and attempts to shoot one of the clerks. This ended well for the clerks, but it could have gone sideways very quickly. He should of been dropped when he turned the corner after they armed themselves. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/02/24/watch-mother-daughter-in-gun-fight-with-shotgun-wielding-robbery-suspect/
