  1. If this were on the table, I'd be more than willing to slide right up to that table and discuss. But that is not what they want now is it. No, they have been waiting for one of these events to pickup steam, they try it after each horrific mass shooting. They bring out the pre-planned speeches, signs and celebrity 'activists' willing to go all out with one goal in mind, and that's disarmament. I want to know where these parents are, who are willing to possibly put their kids safety in jeopardy, because you know there are some on the far right that would love nothing better than to shut these kids up, one way or another. I hope nobody attempts to, that would not be good for us at all, but the threats are allready happening. Are they that sold into the idea of disarmament that they would let these outsiders use their kids as sacrificial lambs?
  2. I for one am tired of being tolerant, seriously, why in the hell do we, who've done nothing wrong, need to tolerate those that do not tolerate us? If they want to talk about how to make schools safer, I am right there at the table, if they want to talk about how to best disarm us, well then they can go to hell. I am also getting tired of hearing all this tolerance talk from our side, I really am. You don't see the left breaking from the ranks, why are we? Many gun owners seem more than happy to work with them on how best to appease them, when all they want is for us to be disarmed, pure and simple. As I've said before, I am sorry these events happen, but it's such a statistical abnormality that it is not worth all this "repeal the 2nd Amendment" angst coming from the left. If they were serious about keeping the kids safe, they would be pushing for more cell phone control instead of gun control since distracted driving kills more kids than guns do.
  3. Sure now he is honest, at 97 and retired what does he have to lose? But no, no respect from me.
  4. Sounds like another anti-American fool to me, probably already succumbed to Alzheimers. This is where the danger lies, with liberal justices that want to change the Constitution instead of defending it. Good thing he is retired, anyone with this attitude should be pulled from SCOTUS or any federal court immediately!
  5. Don't be jealous, we have a heck of a PR firm.
  6. No matter what reason you give, anti-gun fools will come up with something to counter, no matter how stupid. The fact remains, the 2A is there for a reason, and if all the GCA's infringements don't get blocked, we will need all our muskets sooner or later.
  7. I agree on the uselessness of them, but not on the banning of them. Who are we to tell others what to have fun with. I also view those exploding targets as dangerous exploding toys, but would not want them banned. Same goes for many firearms out there to one sector or another, do we really want to go down that road?
  8. I'd put them away, not post them and let everyone know I had them.
  9. I'm not convinced that the bump stock made it anymore lethal than with a standard semi. Maybe because he had little to no training in ARs, but if it were someone with training, I'm sure they could have hit more, many more. If he had put more thought into it, he could have trained at the elevation and distance he wanted to engage at, chosen a heavier caliber and done much more damage. He had the $, he could have purchased an NFA in .308, which would have really made these anti-gun brains implode. Imagine if they knew that with just $200, plus the price of the weapon anyone could get a true automatic.
  10. Well, there goes another piece of the cake. Just one more slice that I'd have to keep on the down low if I had one.
  11. Done, to both the ILA, and GOA, we need to pass the word around.
  12. Not quite smoke and mirrors to me. I don't have a citi...anything, that I know of, but this is a shot across the bow as far as I'm concerned. They have just signaled their intent to control an industry. Their actions are not based on law, yet, so it's an arbitrary decision to try and enforce a standard they set. What's next?
  13. When I enlisted at 18, we could drink beer on and off post with a military ID (until about 85' I think). I was issued an M16, and was soon after made an M60 Gunner. At 20, I was in charge of the entire Arms room, with unaccompanied access. I had a memo from my Commander allowing me to transport my M16 in my POV(only had a couple of CUCV (Blazers), to and from the range when we shot matches. A month after turning 21, I was trudging the jungles of Honduras, Panama, and other spots I can't mention. I must say, I did some stupid things between 18 and 21, but not enough to be a risk to me or others. I don't believe I was an exception, but also not the rule, just average. If I was affected, I would fight for my rights and would let these polititions, many of whom haven't served, know what was what. But now I am 53, and can support the measure only if everything is changed to 21, not just guns, otherwise, they can go pound sand. Since I know they won't do that, that puts me squarely in the opposition of the measure.
  14. I confirmed, on their own page that this is true: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/7667605?hl=en So I went to YouTube and unsubscribed from everything, adding a comment why. Going to www.full30.com, where its pro 2A.
  15. Well now, that is the question now isn't it? We, as it currently stands use 18 for many things, legally, but 21 for others, and of course we have the legal opportunity to divorce our parents for cause. I'm ok with either, as long as they use ONE standard.
  16. Personally, I have an issue with students, at all levels walking out of class for ANYTHING, and I would only support them protesting things that happen in their school, or district, like sucky lunches, bad teachers, dress code etc. They are there to learn, not protest, that should be left to parents. And there were a few stories of pro-gun students treated differently than their fellow anti-gun brethren. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/378654-minnesota-student-with-pro-gun-sign-escorted-off-campus-during
  17. One thing I learned in life is "Perception is Reality" to many, me included. I've had my share of left leaning teachers, not all, but many. But while they tend to gravatate to the profession and pass on their beliefs to the students, unintentionally or on purpose, the majority of the problem I think is with those that set curiculum and policy. Many times I've seen schools do things that are really far left, such as this whole anti-gun protest thing. Imagine how schools would react if the kids wanted to protest say, planned parenthood, or the NFA?
  18. I'd be interested to see which way this nut leaned, White Supremacy or Muslim. Personally I hope it's just a run-of-the-mill nutjob, those other two have been getting too much press.
  19. This is also a good read, and holds that in some cases the school may restrict speech. And in fact, mentions your case as well. https://scholar.google.com/scholar_case?case=17128657354823960354&q=Morse+v.+Frederick,+2007&hl=en&as_sdt=6,43&as_vis=1
  20. I had touted their stance when that Mom group tried to get them to change their gun carry policy so this move kinda surprised me. But now I see there was a change at the top: http://www.supermarketnews.com/executive-changes/kroger-makes-additional-changes-top So soon we will see no-gun signs pop up I bet.
  21. Welcome to the neighborhood, this really is a nice place. Don't take the "change" comments personally, it probably doesn't apply to you. Many do move and try and change things to what they left, strange but true. I find that if you move to a place you like, leave it alone and all will be well.
  22. My debit card kept getting unauthorized charges, my bank would catch it, cancel my card then send me a new one. Mostly it's inconvenient, I've not lost a cent but now I use a credit card and haven't had an issue yet, but I keep an eye out just in case. My info has been stolen a few times so I have credit monitoring, but that hasn't stopped the debit card stuff.
  23. I would think that during an incident, the last thing LEO or management would want to do is cause trouble for a CCW permit holder, specially one that helped.
  24. Not me, again we see mass punishment for those who wouldn't even think of breaking the law. You think this will stop those that want to establish a hunting sounder? No, they'll just be out hunting while the rest of us are stuck paying to hunt them elsewhere.
  25. Most NATO brass is thicker, so less capacity. Many of the NATO rounds are around 2 MOA rounds unless you get the Match rounds.
