That may very well come to light and open the eyes of a few when/if this goes to court. I don't expect it to turn any of the hardcore anti-gunners, but some of the sheeple may just become sheepdogs.

Everybody make it through the bad weather last night?
Omega replied to Grand Torino's topic in General Chat
No damage here though we had tornado warnings, and one apparently touched down around exit 8 in Clarksville. -
I reload and cast my own, and I have plenty of consumable supplies. And except for powder, the shortages didn't affect reloading supplies much, at least for what I shoot.

More likely that a CCW Permit holder drew his weapon when someone yelled "gun". The one left behind might be from the initial person with a gun.

The the process for an emergency restraining order need to be looked at, hard. While I don't doubt that in some cases it may be warranted, it isn't every time. IMHO, in a case of a vindictive spouse, they should be charged with a crime for false reporting, and everything wiped from the wronged persons record.

Too bad you're in Memphis or I'd be happy to. I'd bet they would go fast if you put them up in a free thread.

Of course, because terrorists follow laws so well. The biggest reason is that it's a hardened target, and successful attack is not assured.

I find the complete opposite to be true, the standard MRE has improved so much since they were introduced, now favoring many commercially acquired products. They're not luxury meals by no means, but one standard meal can carry you the entire day if need be and have surpassed the dehydrated beef patties of old.

Why not? They hardened their schools, nobody is saying to copy anything else.

Companies ending partnerships with NRA
Omega replied to jdgreen's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Same here, I don't use any of the NRA discounts, and I don't look for them specifically, this is about their, the companies, unwillingness to stand up to these snowflakes that want to cause us gun owners trouble. If they want to wade into the social issue swamp then it's time we introduce them to the critters with teeth. -
I'm ok with this as long as due process is followed. I do not want a simple restraining order to be the cause of someone losing their weapons, they have to adjudicate someone a mental case, or prove he/she is a danger to themselves or others then yea, pull their weapons. And of course a path to restore their rights.

If you are looking for long term storage, look for the dried meals, like the kind that get used by hikers and mountain climbers. I don't do the mre thing as I only do week long hunt trips so just get a few of these, they have Pace, Campbell, Prego etc:

My idea is to allow trained personnel, such as vets, off duty LEO, and civilians to volunteer their services. Will there be a cost, a little, but only to run training/testing, and vetting volunteers. The NRA and Industry partners can be solicited to run free training, as most know, once you take one class, you want more. Of course, it won't happen...TPTB need the turmoil.

How about us retired military folks willing to step up and volunteer our services? I am sure we easily outnumber the NG.

Couldn't find an email for them but this site should be bombarded: http://www.corporate-office-headquarters.com/enterprise-holdings-inc -
Ok, so here is my take on a few things. Before I deployed to an area where the targets shot back, I had no idea how I would react, but I am proud to say I did the right thing and engaged. So I am not going to jump on the "Bad LEO" bandwagon too much, and the Supreme Court has weighed in on them, LEO, not having a duty to protect so that's that. I can bet he will have PTSD, or some form of guilt for the rest of his life. But I strongly feel we need to harden these schools, make them as difficult as possible for a shooter to engage that many targets. I don't think we need to make it feel like a prison, but there is definitely things that can be done, and immediately. One is to allow volunteer faculty to carry, take training and rehearse drills, there is plenty of time when the kids are not there to let them rehearse. It is working in Ohio and Colorado I believe, they even take courses to qualify. The armed faculty are not advertised except to let parents know some MAY be armed, a good thing, so there leaves a doubt for any would be shooter. Let trained personnel Such as Military and LEO, or those willing to train, volunteer to patrol the campuses, with their EDC concealed so to again, cause shooters to 2nd think their actions. We do not need to sacrifice a dang think to the anti-gunners! Every "Sensible" Gun Law is a sham IMO, it only effects those who are willing to follow the law, the criminals just ignore it while they break other laws. The phrase "Shall not Infringed" does not have a "but" or "unless" in it, it seem pretty clear to me that the NFA, GCA, or any 2A Control Law is Unconstitutional, so the whole "intent" of the law is not something to consider, in my book, when it comes to defining or redefining what can and can't be owned. We are judged by the actions of a few, but are lambasted for trying to harden our borders against whom wish us harm by saying not all Muslims are terrorists, you can't have it both ways.

Trump urges ban on 'bump stocks,' other gun modifiers
Omega replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I also think you are way off base on this, if he would not of had a bumpstock, then he could have used controlled fire instead of pray and spray. I say could have because at this point we do not know, but I believe I read where he took these guns out and shot them before the event. I do know as a fact, that I personally can successfully engage targets more effectively using controlled fire vs full auto. And have been warned more than a couple times on the range not to use auto because the range was not cleared for auto even though my selector switch was on semi the entire time. I don't have any use for a bumpstock, binary trigger or any other ammo wasting gadget, so I don't have any, but if we allow the ATF or the feds to start regulating due to perceived "intent" of the law we will lose all weapons because make no mistake about it, the intent is to disarm the populace. -
That is some nice grain there, what is that 3 planks glued together?

You will be hard pressed to get any of the MSM, except Fox and other more conservative outlets to cover this. But I too will be contributing that day, I have joined GOA, but will send the NRA some $ on the 24th as a sign of my 2A support, I think if we get enough members to do the same, it will send a message.

I honestly have been saying this for awhile. Pick and age that a teen becomes an adult and stick with it. But it has to be across the board, don't ask an 18yo to join the military, get issued a weapon and go and fight and die for his/her country if they can't enjoy the same privileges back home. If they decide 18, 21, 25, then so be it, make up your freaking mind about what makes an adult already.
