  1. Spend the money if you have it. They all deserve a chance.
  2. Anybody know anything about lithotripsy? The Doc told me I'll need general anesthesia for it but I've read that a lot of people don't find it that uncomfortable. I don't want to go under unless I have to.. Any advice?
  3. I was a vegan for years. I loved it. Unfortunately, I'd have to be a wealthy man to eat a purely plant based diet with the calories I consume a day for my weightlifting schedule. That being said, that disease sounds horrifying. I once knew a man who, from birth, simply couldn't metabolize red meat. Bizarre.
  4. Yep, this has been the rumor for a long time..
  5. Their product is awesome and their customer service is out of this world(pun intended). I'm about to order a few more for other guns I have.
  6. Andrew Lincoln was quoted as saying he couldn't sleep the night he read the season finale script. I bet we lose Carol AND Glenn.
  7. We're gonna lose someone very important soon... I've got a feeling..
  8. Absolutely this. Which is also why I don't understand how some Christians believe those that practice another faith won't be found in their afterlife. That's a club I don't want part of..
  9. Two nights ago I had just left a gig in Augusta, GA and was driving back to the hotel as I was the sober one of our group and something really strange happened. We pulled up to a stop light and two lanes over from me there was a lone tricked out Chevy Impala. Big shiny rims, nice paint.. As soon as I came to a stop the passenger door opened and a man swiftly exited the vehicle. My adrenaline surged and the first thing I did was reach for my gun in my holster in the 4 o clock position, but my hand got caught in the seatbelt and I lost a split second. I was able to draw the gun safely and inconspicuously before the individual completely vacated the car and thankfully he was just going to make sure the trunk was closed. But, the situation made me nervous after looking back. When I am in my car, a pistol is always easily accessible besides the one I have holstered, but because I was driving a strange car out of town for work, things didn't go quite as practiced or as planned. Thank GOD it was a non-event, but I've known people that were murdered or beat to a pulp at random for gang initiation in New Orleans, and it just seemed like his timing was too perfect when I pulled up. It didn't feel right. The fairly liberal drummer was singing his praises for guns after he knew it would've been a gun that would've saved his ass had the situation turned ugly. Anyway, just another reminder to stay aware at ALL times, you never know when evil might be lurking around the corner.. Or at a traffic light!
  10. Use a proxy.. Should be able to view anything. :)
  11. I see a lot of guys talking about being prepared for a SHTF situation, but I notice a trend with a lot of us that was raised on good Southern cooking, and that is a serious problem with being in shape. I've always been pretty athletic and I have a decent amount of knowledge when it comes to nutrition and working out, but in the last four years I gained a lot of weight due to constant travel, divorce, stress, etc. I smoked cigarettes for 11 years and when I "quit" smoking I was never without a chaw in my mouth. Recently, I had a come to Jesus moment about my health. I'm not getting younger. I am no longer "invincible." Nothing in particular happened to me, I just got sick and tired of feeling sick and tired all the time. I used to run four miles a day and I ate great, but my lifestyle changed when work became mostly about travel and free catered food with a dessert spread that would make any man drool at almost every gig. For the past few months I've dropped a great deal of fat from working out 5-6 days a week with weights and cardio and from eating a very clean and balanced diet of single ingredient foods. Nothing fried. I drink water, black coffee and protein shakes. I quit all tobacco. I feel better than I've felt in years, and I've got the people I work with as accountability buddies. We workout together on the road and eat right. Anyway, I say all this to say that it won't matter much if your bug out bag is loaded with the best stuff, or if you have the biggest stockpile of ammo and firearms.. Survival of the fittest is for the people that are prepared in all ways. I just want everyone to be the best they can be! Something to think about!
  12. Hahahaha! Talking Dead is awesome tonight. Some serious "ricking."
  13. Remember the gay kiss? .....and cue the haters for the series' first interracial kiss.
  14. Service dogs are amazing companions to people in need. Congratulations!
  15. Every time I am at the range I see people doing very stupid things followed by a quick reprimand from the range officers. I'm surprised more people don't get hurt.
  16. I appreciate the info! He told me today he has 6 of the regular serrated ones.. Maybe he'll give me one! Haha Apparently this knife is supposed to have zero utility use and is only meant for self-defense situations. It's an awesome looking knife!
  17. I enjoyed the video except for one thing, when you toss words like "retarded" around it can easily make someone even slightly left leaning turn their ears off. Yeager does this too and it irks me. You want to be able to appeal to a wide audience by stating your case clearly and intelligently without sabotaging your point. JMO.
  18. At a gig recently were gifted a bottle of Jack Daniel's Sinatra and I was very impressed by it..
  19. Guys, my mother's boyfriend has been on the hunt for one of these for a while and I can't seem to find one. After doing some research I discovered that they stopped production on the plain edge version but I can't figure out why. Also, what is a reasonable price for a used one? It seems like these are sort of rare and I don't know much about these knives. Thanks in advance!
  20. It is drilled into every kid's skull that you either go to college, or you're somehow not on the same level as other people. How is this entitlement when this is the stuff that was spoon fed to everyone? You're taught from day one that the best way to get ahead in life is to get a degree. You get a degree and then what? You can't get a job? I know a lot of bartenders with great degrees.
  21. Caster, sometimes people go through what is called "financial hardship" due to medical problems, death in the family, depression, job loss, or any combination of the above. I am sure that a man like yourself that is so obviously compassionate could understand such a simple human experience. You've either never experienced hardship in your life and dealt with financial difficulty or you just don't understand the basic tenets of humanity. Either way, the way you have presented yourself in this thread dripping with sarcasm about millennials being unable to pay back loans due to gargantuan interest makes me question your ability to be a human being.. Stuff happens, people have life problems, student loan debt is a HUGE problem and just telling people to get responsible using knuckle dragging speech is not the way to solve it.
