  1. Done PM me for more information or to have a discussion.
  2. RO show at the Murfreesboro expo center at the end of July. Summer shows in middle TN kinda suck.
  3. Figures that I buy the .45 off you, then this one comes up after my discretionary funds are expended.
  4. RK gun show in Clarksville at the fairgrounds this weekend. Smaller shows in Manchester & Sparta, too. I wonder if the RK show is going to be any better than the Great American show that was held there a few weeks ago? That was a miserable show due to poor lighting, crowded conditions due to trying to cram as many tables into that small building as possible, and the non-existent air conditioning after 10am.
  5. My MR920 Combat has 3 grip modules which change the grip angle, from ‘1911-ish’ to ‘Glock’. The sights line up best with the Glock angle for me, so the other 2 stay in the box.
  6. I wonder if Lon Horiuchi’s spotter is still employed by Troy Industries. Dale Monroe testified during Senate hearings that he was 100% prepared to shoot Vicki Weaver, but Horiuchi fired first. Troy Asymmetric hired Monroe and then backed him when News came out about the man they’d hired as a trainer. Bad-mouthing Troy Industries gets people banned on other forums. Now that Troy is in Clarksville I wonder if they get the same scrutiny as they used to elsewhere.
  7. She has assumed room temperature, so that means that there is now more air for the rest of us.
  8. Supported anti-gun bills in Illinois to save their own necks. They’re dead to me as a customer.

I installed the ‘Glock-angle’ grip insert and removed the magwell. The pistol fits much better in my hand without it now. I’m considering a red dot & light for it now.
  10. I owned a plain blued Tisas when they’re first were imported, and it fed and fired without any issues. I don’t see why their GI models would be any different.
  11. I think you and I said the same thing.
  12. Not necessarily, gunsmiths do slide cuts for new sights all the time. It’s cheaper than buying a new slide & you can choose which cut based on what sights you chose. Picking a model that already has dovetail cuts is the cheapest option, though.
  13. The Tisas guns seem to be well-made, especially for their price point. MrGunsnGear shot a video at Battlefield Las Vegas, and their armorer said good things about Rock Island 1911s at the 11:06 mark or so.
  14. How do I close my ad for my Walther P99? I sold it locally yesterday & edited the content, but I don’t see how to officially close it. Any help you can give is appreciated.

I just picked up a MR920 Combat yesterday, and I already like it better than the half dozen or so G19/23s I’ve owned over the years. The magwell is taking some getting used to, but everything else about it is an improvement over a stock Glock.
  16. Lots of blowing snow and wind in west Nashville as of right now. The streets were just wet a few hours ago, but they will probably get slick as temps drop overnight.
  17. Does anyone in middle TN stock NV or thermal? I sold my old Harley a few weeks ago, and the idea of getting a super-power(seeing in the dark) is intriguing. I’ve been kicking around thermal/NVG/helmet-mounted/weapon sight for awhile now, and it’s enough to make a man go crazy.
  18. I’ve killed more deer with the front end of a semi than I ever did with a firearm.
  19. No, but I’ve known him for a decade or three. ‘Bob is Bob’ is the best I can offer as to his online & offline persona. The Walther magazine issue was a year ago, and I even started a thread in the Walther forum about it. That place is a mausoleum so I basically talked to & updated the issues to myself.
  20. He was doing so well at first, but the old Bob just couldn’t stay hidden for very long. Back to the original topic, sort of… It took Walther over a month to replace a magazine follower for a .40 P99. The follower tilted and got jammed halfway in the mag body, then cracked off the slide lock tab when it became unstuck and the spring slammed it into the feed lips. In the old days(up until a few years ago), they would have dropped a new part in the mail. Instead, I had to send the entire magazine to them in Fort Smith, which sat on someone’s bench for almost a month before anyone looked at it. They pronounced the problem as ‘fixed’ by replacing the part, not charging me $$, and shipping it back five weeks after I sent it off.
  21. I ride my ‘02 Road King to work every day it’s not raining or very cold. I’d post pictures but they’re too big & im not sure how to resize them here.
