  1. I shoot Winchester and CCI, but I do get better results from Winchester.
  2. I haven't found any problems with availability, but I do agree about the price. I have found the price is different everywhere, Winchester from $10.50 to $16.50 depending on where you buy. Online prices are better.
  3. I had considered a .22 mag. for a while, so last Dec. I saw CDNN had the Ruger American .22 mag. compact package deal for $279.00, which included the rifle, sling, an additional stock insert, a Bushnell A17 3.5-10x36mm rimfire scope and mounts. I have been shocked at how accurate this rifle is, check out the reviews on line for this gun. I have had a ball shooting it, and at this price nobody can touch it. Plus .22 mag. ammo is plentiful right now, so I have stocked up. I couldn't be happier with it.
  4. Welcome to Tennessee, I'm just down the road in Columbia.
  5. I also have used PSA and gotten some good deals, especially on 5.56 ammo.
  6. My daughter lives in her first floor condo in a three story building. Her condo was flooded when the condo above hers had a hot water heater rupture. It took two months to replace all the hard wood floors and drywall and get it back to normal. Worst part is the neighbor has no responsibility for any damage. Over head water heaters are an accident just waiting to happen.
  7. Praying that your mothers passing will be peaceful and without suffering. Also praying for you and all of your family members as you go through this loss of your mother.
  8. There are about a dozen YouTube videos showing how to get the same results as a Bump stock using big rubber bands. So are rubber bands still legal after midnight?

    1911 for carry

My Colt .45 Defender has a short barrel, has been completely reliable, no plastics, all metal and weights 25 ozs. Pretty light for a metal 1911 .45 very easy to conceal and carry.
  10. I have a Shockwave, and between the Remington and Mossburg, the Mossburg is a better made gun, especially considering all of the troubles Remington has had for the last few years.

    1911 for carry

A good 1911 for everyday carry is a Colt Defender, I have had one for the last 10 years and have not had a single issue with it. Plus it also comes in 9mm. New they are around $900.00 but I expect you could find a used one in the $600.00 range.
  12. In my prior post I was actually referring to the Remington V3 auto, not the Tac-14. The Tac -14 is very similar to the Shockwave. Watch the 3" shells.
  13. I have a Mossburg Shockwave in 12 ga. and it is very manageable with 2 3/4" shells. It is not fun at all with 3" shells. Like Garufa posted, the Remington Tac 14 is V3 auto version, different ports are opened or closed depending on the length of shells you choose making it much more manageable with 3" shells. I would love to own one.
  14. I have been hearing and seeing them here in Columbia.
  15. I would send it in, I have had a couple of experiences with Kimber's service department and they have gone beyond my expectations.
  16. I carry a Kimber Micro 9 with an extended 8 round mag, plenty of grip length for my big hands and just over 15 ozs. easy to conceal. It has been completely reliable.
  17. Praying for a complete recovery for your daughter.
  18. Seems like new cleaning and lube products for guns come out each week, and I am sure they are good products. Having said that, after almost 60 years of cleaning my own guns, I have never used a gun cleaning and or lube for guns that did not work, old or new product. Maybe some a little better than others, but they generally all work. I just stick with what has worked for many years.
  19. That's odd. I've read many poor reviews in American Rifleman through the many years I've been receiving it.
  20. I read American Riflemans review on the Spectrum and they didn't give it a great review. Hopefully your experience will be better.

    Kimber EVO

Of course the Micro 9 is hammer fired, not striker fired like the Solo or EVO. Having said that I have been carrying a Micro 9 for two years and it has been perfect, it is accurate and very easy to conceal. At just over 15 ozs. not bad for a 9mm.

    Kimber EVO

I would have to wait a while before buying a Kimber Evo. The only other striker fired they have ever made is the Solo. It did not turn out well and was discontinued in 2017 because of all the problems with it. They make a great 1911 but the jury is still out about how this new striker fired pistol will perform. By the way, it is a great looking pistol.
