I believe that is FINRA, not Robinhood. I had my account locked up a few times at TDA because of coming and going too frequently, too soon. You have to register as a day trader, and your account is monitored differently than an 'average joe' trader.

Agree, nice looking Garden Greg! I've seen people using those 250-330 gal caged plastic containers you see on Craigslist for rainwater catch. Need screen netting to keep mosquito's out the top, and a few pieces of PVC to reduce the 1" valve at the bottom to hose-bib, but are fairly easy to setup elevated on cinder-block foundations, etc.

Ditto what's been said so far, depends on your application. If it's just punching holes in paper and letting off steam, a 22 will do the job. I've got a Ruger American Bolt Action, very happy, fun to shoot, cheap to own. Of course, the ubiquitous AR platform is begging to be mentioned. On top of all the other great features, you'll piss off a liberal, and who doesn't love doing that? - K

Love my 9C version 1. Great match between a full-size and pocket carry (I can conceal it, but it handles like a full size for me). Primary reason I got the 9 was ammo capacity, 12 or 18 rds w/ extended mag. The .45 only carried 9 I think? Got me to thinking, and I don't mean to start a debate, just showing my ignorance... if you were going to carry a .40-cal, why not a .45? I know it's a debated topic, but is there an inherent feature to the 40-cal cartridge that I'm missing? If I was interested in bigger-bang (aka 45 vs. 9), I'd be shopping for .45 or 10mm! I see a lot of police turn-ins in 40, so I always assumed there was a reason, just can't think of it?

It's usually considered a 'soft' check, and does not impact your credit. Only when filling out the paperwork for the actual loan application, will it impact your credit. Ditto shop around, never hurts to ask. One lender conversation may have a different tidbit of information, or different way of saying things, and help you get a clearer picture. Also rates may vary. 0.25% might not seem like a lot, but it will over the life of the loan. You may be better off buying points, too. Also make sure to add in any PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance), Home Insurance, and taxes to your 'payment' number. You can easily increase your monthly by several hundred dollars right there....

As a yankee transplant, a guy I was working for explained it to me... Sometimes folks from out of state move here and start spouting off about how things should be, or the way they used to do it back home... and frankly, that's not the least bit appreciated. In particular, northerners are notorious for this (I'm from NY, believe me, it's one reason why I left that state!) You will find folks down here are friendly and amicable, but as soon as you open your mouth, they'll know you ain't from around these parts (accent), and can expect the following 3 questions: Where you from/why did you move here? (see TNBuckeye's comment for the reason why) Where do you work? (Damn freeloading hippie's can go back to where you came from!) What Church do you go to? (You would love ours, why don't you come on next Weds?) Funny story, one time a nice old lady at the grocery store was chatting me up in the produce section (they'll do that down here, honest), and I was getting tired of the church question, so on a lark, I said "Heaven's no, we don't go to church, we're Jewish". Swear to God, she turned white as a ghost and walked away without saying another word.

LOL! That's the weird part, I've only met a couple of people in person. There are T-shirts, hat's, decal stickers for your car.... still never see any TGO'ers at the range, even though I've probably shot next to them! LOL!

I for one firmly believe the purpose and scope of the 2nd amendment is to act as a leash on government, and ensuring the populace has the means, and capability, to defend their freedom against a government who's grown too big for it's britches! Welcome to TN! As another transplant from the communist North (Western NY area), you'll be pleased with the changes here. Also a member at ORSA, it's a great club - has a bit of a country-club feel to it, some of the other ranges around here are just dirt pits w/ steel targets. I'd wait for warmer/drier weather, but don't miss out on a great learning opportunity. Frankly, it's best to attend a couple classes at different times of the year? You're right, I agree. It irks me to no end, because it isn't a "Right", it's a service you pay for. I can still recall sitting around the dinner table one night as a child when my Dad was working at a difficult job, Mom kept telling him to quit, it's not worth it, they went round and round, and finally he said, "It's for the benefits".... I knew what he meant. He meant the healthcare insurance he was providing for his children and family. Now every freeloading turd on the planet wants free food, free housing (and they want the place in the suburbs w/ a white picket fence and 2 honda's in the driveway, don't you stick me in some brick building in the inner city!), and free trips to the Dr's. And politicians argue that it's cheaper than dealing w/ them in the emergency room (which they take an ambulance to (also free, natch), because they got a splinter in their big toe). ... Sorry, got me wound up on a tangent there. Though it brings up another point. All this talk of politics and everything that's going on today, it skirts the real issue: The have-nots want what he have's have! And they figured out they can vote their way to getting it! This will have consequences, and it ain't gonna be pretty.

Ditto what peejman said. I started w/ orangish brown clay.... dump truck full of compost from Monterrey Mushrooms, dunno how many bags of peat moss, and countless contributions from my horses... it's dark grey soil now, not brown clay. Takes a couple years tho, can't do it all at once.

Rented a tiller this weekend and tore that Sh*#! up! Added 3 beds for berry bushes, can't count how much peat moss, and a big contribution from the horses as well... Was worth the 65 bucks. Started Garlic and beans, will probably get some tater's in this weekend if it ever stops raining!

Absotively! That's one of the (many) things wrong w/ the medical industry these days. The money incentive is too corrupting. It's not about curing the disease anymore, it's about treating the symptoms. Anyone else notice that trend? I've had personal experience w/ Gastro-intestinal issues. Here, try this pill. No? OK, take this one instead. Rinse, repeat. Don't teach the patient to deal with the cause (stress), treat the symptom w/ something consumable. It's more profitable than a cure.
