ground wire problem? i have been chasing electric problems on my 1987 flhs since 1988. sometimes you will not fix the problem. i just found a work around to keep the bike on the road. check the starter relay. my was wired in backwards. gave me problems with my head light going dim when i hit the brakes. hd relays are auto relays and the auto relays will work. there is a ground wire block somewhere in the front faring where many grounds wires go to it. when i start having a electric problem i check it first. most time i find a wire that has come off/loose. also check your ground strap from the motor to the frame. take it off any put back on. but i could be wrong about a ground problem. but on my bike it all way been where i go to first.

to me the big problem of car buying is the wife. i have to go to several dealers looking at cars that i think the wife will want. she give me hints from cars that the other girls at her office have. i then test drive them to the wife's office so she can set in them. but it can become a job in it self just to get a appointment with the wife to show her a car. it only takes about five minutes to know if the car is a go or no go. if the car is a go she will test drive it. i have seen go cars turn into no go on the test drive. i like to have two or three cars that she likes. then it is off to usaa to use their car buying service and the net to check prices, hold back and all the other things that i need to know. usaa membership is great. by this time i got several different car salesman calling me to come back to look and buy. i know the price that i will pay before i go back to the dealer. i will let the dealer think that he is going to finance the car so he can keep on getting the price to my level. i like to think i am good at buying a new car, don't know, but the last new car i got was at a price that was fare to me and the dealer per usaa and the research. never trade in your car. sale it yourself if you need the money. or do what i do, i give it to a family member that needs a good high mileage older vehicle.

i hate car shopping. we have been looking for a new car also. it is so much a pain in the butt to deal with a car salesman. i also like to work on my own vehicles and we keep them until the wheels fall off. then i put them back on for a few more miles.

If you're considering buying a Mini from Mini of Knoxville...
frankmako replied to gjohnsoniv's topic in General Chat
i try to do all of the work on my vehicles myself, that is if i can. if i have to take a vehicle in for service the first thing i do when i pick up the vehicle is to check the work and work area. i have even made marks on parts to make sure that the parts get changed out to new parts. car dealers and their service area are crooks and must be watched/checked. the costs are high and your money is tight. -
only fools will but this.

Why you don't use someone elses reloads
frankmako replied to babelt's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I been reloading for years. Many friends have asked me to load some for them. I tell them that I don't shoot other people's reloads and they should not too. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk -

the government use high fuel prices as a way to control the people. fuel prices, food prices, medical prices are one way to control the people. when we spend all our income on these items and don't have any money left over for other use it is a way to keep us under control. no extra money to have fun with means no freedom.

Who says you need a sports car or a motorcycle to run the Dragon?
frankmako replied to Tobashadow's topic in General Chat
the dragon, skyway and hellbender are some of the best roads in the area. lots of other great no name roads around too. it is a great place to lose yourself on a weekend while on two wheels. next long ride will be the moonshiner 28. it looks to be around 109 miles one way ride. -

i have run the dragon in several different vehicles, two and four wheels over the years. it is harder to do it in a cage and stay in your lane. -
26 arrested in Clarksville prostitution sting.
frankmako replied to Chucktshoes's topic in General Chat
what a sad bunch. but with all the other problems that they could have gone after, they take a easy way out and go for the street walkers and the johns. -
Back in the 70 and 80 the gun shows were free to get in and they have guns. Lot of guns for sale. Also lots of guns parts. I use to get all the parts to build a 1911a1 at the shows. But not now. All you see is knives and beef jerky. The guns are high priced and there are no deals to be had. The only deals are from David.

Opinions on Ammo storage needed.
frankmako replied to Tobashadow's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
dump the ammo in army ammo cans. if you don't have ammo cans then the plastic coffee cans work well. throw away the boxes, that way you can get more into the cans. -
it did it to me twice in three days.

i redone the headline in my 88 f150 myself 15 years ago. went to walamart to get the fabric and spray on glue. it was not hard to do. took the old liner down, removed the old stuff, clean up the cardboard, cut out the fabric to fit with good over lap on the insides to hold well. spray two or three cans of glue then placed the fabric on the cardboard. went well and you can not tell that it is not a factory job after all these years. not hard and took a afternoon to do. cheap and easy. i paid once to have one done in a 84 olds in 98. after seeing what the shop did i knew i could do the same and save lots of money.

we changed over to the glock 22 from the glock 17 many mango season ago (1998/99/00). the new glock 22 had the rail system on it. so we all went out and got pistol lights. then we found out that we were having feed and stove piping problems at the range. the next thing a bunch of new glock mag springs showed up at the office with instructions to change them out. we changed out the mag springs and all is well. so the older glock mag springs can cause a problem with your glock if you have a light on it. if i remember the new mag springs have one or two more coils to them which makes the a little longer/stronger. i do not know how to tell the different except to open the mag and count the coils and/or compare springs against a new mag spring. i might have a old mag spring in my desk that i can count the coils to give a base line for the older mag springs.

i check several walmarts in two states when i am out. small town, big city no matter it is the same story, no 22 ammo. had a lady worker in trion georgia walmart tell me that they put the 22 ammo out at different times trying to stop the same guys getting all of it. but they don't get much and most day they get none. so it looks like it is hit or miss with them.
-
i wish the walmart around me would have some 22 ammo. but they don't.
-
what a bunch of fools with some morons hanging around.
-
you are correct they don't. but still they are good guns. the kel tec p3at makes a great back pocket gun.
