  1. usaa for over 35 years.  several claims and no problems.  so far i will keep them.
  2. wal mart on gunbarrel road in chattamooga got the same cans.  been there for a while.  priced too high.  only fools will buy this.
  3. cheaper.  you can down load the 38 sp for some real fun shooting.
  4. the race has been on for the left from day one. they are all most half way finish.  the right is not even in the car at this time.  the car is still on blocks.  the right will wake up an find out the race is over, again.  the old party ways will not work anymore.  the last two elections show us that.
  5. to me starbucks or as we say around the office, fourbucks is the worst coffee you can get.  now if you want a drink with a bunch of other stuff in it along with a little coffee then fourbucks is your place.
  6. rra lar8 is the way to go
  7. galco.  they make a great pocket holster.
  8. must have been some real good dry wood to split that easy.
  9. had one when we lived in dc 15 years ago.  it worked okay until it got around 35.  could tell it was working hard at 40 and below.  i could turn on the heat pads to help any time i wanted.  they help some.  had a three story house and it was never warm to us. but we came from miami and the cold was hard on us.   they are better now so it might heat better.
  10. You might be right about the cal. Come to think it could be 40. Old age and eyes. Either way still priced to high for me.
  11. i saw yesterday a four remington umc 250 meg packs for $90.00 in walmart in chattanooga on gunnbarrel road.   don't know it that is a good price or not.  i reload 9mm and have not bought any for many mango seasons from a store.  they also had several of the $495.00 ammo can of 223 ammo for sale.
  12. i pickup two used ones about 20 years ago.  used them several times each year.  never done anything to them, just put in fuel and run.  good heat in the work shed and basement.  no smell, no soot.  get the flame right and heat on.  the only thing is the fuel has gone up, but what fuel has not.
  13. at this time we (republican parts) do not have anybody to run.  the news has beat down everybody that can run and could beat hillary.  the republican party is split and that is what the other side wants.  no matter whom runs, they will find something bad, i.e., like they said something bad/the bad word, 40 years ago and/or had a made up affair 50 years ago while in high school.  then the person running will get off track and lose.  we need a person that has back bone, a person to stand up a call a spade a spade.  can i say that now?  a person that has a simple plan and tell his plan to the 50% of the people that are paying the bills for the other 50% freeloaders.  the low information voter will vote for the person that gives them free stuff and don't ask them to work.
  14. car salesman lie.  car dealer lie even more. i got three friends/drinking buddies in the car business in upper level management.  it take several minutes when we meet for them to stop and come back to the real world.   people lie when they say the car at 175,00 miles is all highway miles.   some gun sellers lie.  had a guy tell me that his marlin 1894 was the deluxe model and he want deluxe money for it.  but i did my research and found that the gun was a 1973 year model and they did not make a deluxe in that gun until 2008/09.  told the guy the facts. he said he call marlin factory and they told him it was a deluxe.  i walked away.  i do not have time for these people.  now days you have the net to research before you buy.  do not go into a deal with out the facts.    i like the one when they tell you they have shot 20 rounds through the gun.  then you ask them for the rest of the box of ammo with the gun, they say they don't have it.  that tell me they shot 50 rounds plus, not 20 rounds.  so, buyer beware is the best way to go into any deal these days.
  15. some old war guns the bore is shot out and the gun will not group.  there is nothing you can do for it.
  16. you need to watch what you tell your new obama care doctor.  loose lips, sinks ships when you are talking to a government agent.
  17. there are many more.  i still use the ones that i learned in the 70's.  my co-workers sometimes look at me like i am a old black and white john wayne movie.
  18. i shop at wal mart and like it. i save lots of money over the other stores. they got just about everything i need in one store. sometimes they are out of what i want/need.  i know what i am getting into going in to shop, but all other places have their problems too.  when we lose wal mart will will have less money in our pocket to spend on guns/ammo and other items .  why do you think the left does not like wal mart.  any place that can save you money and let you have your money to spend on what you want to do, the left wings does not like.  it is the same with obama care.  your insurance goes up by several thousands dollars this year.  there goes the money that you were going to use for, guns/ammo, the movies, fast food, new/use vehicle, the beach trip, etc....   so you know what you are getting into when you shop there, but remember when you shop there you are sticking it to the man.
  19. the only way to control the people is to take away all the guns.  that will take some time to do.  yes, some will line up to turn them in.  but most will not.
  20. i got my sears tools in 1975 and never looked back.  used them hard and they never broke.  then this summer i was using a deep well socket with a air gun and it broke.  took it to sears for a replacement and they gave me a new deep well that was not a deep as the broken one.  i got old craftmans air guns, nailers, electric tools, and all of my yard equipment is from them.  but when i need something new i go to harbor freight and/or lowes.  the new sears tools and yard items are junk.
  21. many mango season ago i use rig grease on my guns.  it all ways work well.  back in the 70's you could get it in a small tube.  i think i still got some in the gun cleaning box.  sometimes old scholl is better than the new stuff that we buy.
  22. for the past 35 years i have worn a shoulder holster at least three days a week on the job. my first one was a bianchi for the colt detective special.  now used for my j-frame.   what i have found out is you need to buy a good leather made one.  a cheap nylon will not wear well and you will feel it before the day is out. you want one that the straps cross/ride below your neck.  if they ride on the back of your neck or close to it you will feel it quick.  i now used the galco miami classis and a old jackass rig that i got in 86.  a good shoulder holster will wear well all day/night long and you will not know you have it on.   it is not hard to wear one if you dress around the rig.  winter is easy, any coat, vest, large shirt will cover the rig.  summer is a little harder.  suit coat covers well when in court or out on interviews.  all other times i wear a fitted summer shirt that is a little bigger than my normal size.  it the wind is blowing hard i just button one or two of the lower button.  the big problem with them is balancing them out.  you want the same weight on both sides.  a glock 27 on one side and two glock 22 mags on the other size rides well.  a glock 23 one side and two glock 22 mags other side rides okay.  a glock 22 one side and two glock 22 mags other side gets heavy after 10 hours.  some of the problems i seen is that some people like to have the gun/mags ride to low, all most on top of their belt.  others like to have the rig ride to high, jam under their arm pits.  you got to find the sweet spot in the middle, just above the love handles and a little below the arm pit fat.  most over weight peoples don't wear a shoulder holster well.  i know this because several years ago i got hurt and could not work out for six months. i gain 10 pounds plus and it was hard to wear my shoulder holster until i lost the weight.  is a shoulder holster for everyone?  no it is not. it does take some time to get use to it and to find that "sweet spot".  but i know if you buy a cheap nylon rig you will not wear it long.
  23. at this time i use aa#5 powder for 9 mm, 40 s&w, and 45 acp.  as for primers i use what i have on hand, no matter the brand.
  24. yes it is an old model about $50.00 dollars.
  25. looks like a bunch of old hunting rifles and some sport single shot shooting rifles.
