when they bring you the retirement papers and you are many mango season older than the next guy in your unit. when your handcuff key looks like something matt dillon used. when you take out your backup gun, a j-frame with a tyler t-grip during qualifications and the rest of the units gathers around to see pops shoot the "old timer" gun. when most guys in your unit don't know how to load/unload a wheel gun.

for many mango seasons i stored ammo many different ways. i.e. in the factory box, in plastic ammo boxes, in coffee cans (metal and plastic), loose in socks, loose in plastic bags, factory boxes in ammo cans, plastic boxes in ammo cans, loose in ammo cans. right now for me the best way is loose in army ammo cans and plastic coffee cans. less space for storage. you can put a can anywhere and it does not take up much space. i do not store ammo in the gun safe. ammo storage is a hot topic, everybody has their own way. i got some ammo that started with me in west texas in the 70's and moved to south florida, moved to washington dc, then to southeast tennessee and it lived outside in a storage building and/or garage. some in the factory box. this ammo is just as good as day one and still goes bang. don't over think ammo storage.

What will I need for reloading?
frankmako replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I reload/cast bullets and have been since the early 1970's. reloading is fun and easy. yes you will save money reloading, only after you pay off the startup cost. when it comes to what you need to start reloading you will get many answers to the questions. but the first thing that you need is money, a large amount of it. now the real question you should be asking yourself is, "do I shoot enough to make it pay off the cost of all the reloading equipment that I got". is it going to take years to make it cost effected, or will I be better just to buy bulk ammo once a year. -

the web site did not follow the FAR and was done the good old boy way". but what do we expect for this bunch in washington, kick backs to your friends. screw the people, let them eat cake. if the news people went after them like they went after bush this mess would not have made the first four years.

sooner or later most of the gun type business will relocate to a better state that does not go overboard on gun control. it will either be that or go out of business because of the gun laws in that state.

Night stand guns caliber and capacity
frankmako replied to Duck's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
polish p64 work well as a bed room gun. small, flat and something that you don't care about when the police keeps it forever after something goes down. -
Congress Warned of Potential for Citizen Revolt
frankmako replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
food and ammo is the only way to go now. it is going to get bad. things are stacking up for some big problems. it is going to be the haves vr the have not. when the free stuff runs out the trouble will start. -
been there, done that, and got the t-shirt.

never used one, just something about running a dirty snake thru my barrel. no matter how well you think you clean it, it is not clean. a patch work best for me. sometime old school still works.

i started watching dr who in/around 1981. still like watching it. not bad and i like to catch the spoilers.

i rent several car a year with the major car rental companies. i rent them at least one month ahead and get the best/lower rate. i go with high end vehicle. all way, no matter the company, when i show up they tell me that they do not have the car that i rented and they want to give me a lower model for the same price. i tell them that i rented my car up front, payed the full amount up front, and they had over a month to make sure the car that i payed up front for was there at the agreed time. then i tell them to get me the car here now or give me the next car up. the thing is to know what the next model up is so they can not pull a fast one. rental car companies are on the same level as car salesman.

i have not done a black friday since 1997. the last one i did was when we lived in washington dc. i stood in line for some cheap vhs players. never again will i do that for anything. i buy on line for most of my items. the prices are better. back in the 70's and 80's malls where something to do. did lots of shopping in them. now when i go shopping it is wal mart for just about everything. a one stop store. now if they would start selling lumber.

wait to when everybody health care goes up. you will see that you will not have any disposable income. you will be working for food, fuel, and health care. disposable income is freedom, it lets you do what you want. go to a movie, the beach, a new car, a better home, more guns, etc.... without it you are working just to stay alive and supporting the dead beats that the government made. that is what they want, it is a way to control you. you will not get the real numbers on the shopping this year from the news, they are vested in this government and cannot tell you the real truth. if you don't have it now, when obama care is fully started you are not going to get it. your health care will be high so you can pay for the health care of the people that will not work.

should have term limits on all of them. one term would work, no more than two. that way we would not be in such of a mess that we are in now. should have term limits in the state too.

you could not pay me to stand in line at grander mountain for 1 1/2 hours for anything, even if they were giving it away. grander mountain is a store for the person that does not know better. when i go to knoxville i stop in just to look at the guns and make fun of the high prices. everything in the store is priced high. but it is a good place to look at what you want so you can shop around for a better price.

looks like you have been in my reloading room and found my reject box. i got some going back to 1973. i keep the ones that look good. the other i pull the bullet and reuse the bullet and powder.
