  1. Lots of pro power tools my previous employer had came serialized. We recorded it for depreciation, disposal, and theft reporting. Some that did not got one engraved on them with our name after purchase.
  2. I kept saying I did not need anymore, but I picked up another from him a while back. @Grand Torino I can't remember did we ever post pics of tgat Kephart you made me?
  3. Think if one of those landed next to one of the early European explorers when the campfire was the only light..
  4. Unfortunately I am the support at the work side... lol
  5. I love linux, but the software base across lots of different industries is not there. So using it in standard business is a hassle. Retraining everyone to use the Linux equivalent of even just Office would be a chore. I agree Microsoft acts like it hates customers. Having to tie an Office 2016 license to a MS account is ridiculous. Office 365 is a losing option financially for lots of companies. They carry market share in a lot of industries though. So sharing files and interoperability gives them an edge. Apple is it's own monster, but is not close to taking over.
  6. Thanks @Kahr Man and @rugerla1 I just really got back into it at the last of last season. I wanted to hunt before, but my FIL is kinda weird and never said I could. I mentioned it and even outright asked and he would avoid the subject. No idea why. He would probably get 1/2 the meat anyway. I wish I could get land of my own, but that is not feasible (or at least not family priority) at this point. I am looking at college tuition for 2 within a few years. I can hunt with my Dad about 2 hours away, but his land is only about 15 acres with most being pasture or too close to the house to hunt. He sees lots of deer, but very few bucks. He has only gotten 1 in the last few years. I hate to horn in on such a poor chance. Especially since he will barely get to hunt this year after he gets done recuperating. We used to hunt Big South Fork and Chuck Swan when I was a kid. Never saw a deer, but times have changed. I see 5 deer or so a week as roadkill. Probably did not see 10 total by the time I was 18. Actually saw a 4 point in velvet eating on the shoulder on the way home.
  7. Just found out my Father-in-law is up and moving and selling his house. That is where I hunted last year and the only place within a couple hours I have access to. If he does, that will suck. Despite being straight uphill, his land is fairly well stocked.
  8. I had about 50 oem XP cd's that I pulled out of a building that my old work was demo'ing. I left them behind when I left that job. Had to make choices about what I carried home. The wife was already on the warpath about some stuff I brought home. I had to keep some of my projects there just to stay out of the doghouse. I am sure the admin assistant threw them away the next day. She got no more pleasure from anything that trashing stuff. What kind of demented person is that???? I think I found what you need. In light of time though, I am copying a XP SP1 cd I added (called slipstreaming) SP3 to a while back. That is faster than digging up a spare copy. My organization is full #### right now. I had to move it all due to some issues and than move more stuff into that space. I can't find anything. It is starting to get on my last nerve. Oh course it is the old "you take up too much space with your crap" fight. Maybe when the kids move out in 10 years, I can have an office again. PM me a address and I will get it in the mail tomorrow hopefully. Not sure when I will be down that way.
  9. Ok. May be before service pack one (sp1). Just asking because sometimes the keycode will not work with other editions. We can try. It won't hurt.
  10. Let me look. I may gave something. Does the keycode sticker on the tower say SP1, SP1A, or SP2?
  11. What brand pc are you needing it for?
  12. Ahhh, the good old days...
  13. I have no background on this, but looks true. Thoughts from you local guys? https://www.knoxnews.com/story/news/politics/2018/08/02/kane-wwe-wrestler-glenn-jacobs-wins-knox-county-mayoral-race/851265002/
  14. I found a bunch that looked similar, but not that swing out breech thing. I did read that a bunch of these were basically a rip off of the S&W patent.
  15. Think if these people knew you could build an AK receiver from scratch.. http://jefenry.com/main/AK47Receiver.php Just like thisShovel AKsomeone else mentioned http://thechive.com/2012/12/06/apparently-you-can-make-an-ak-47-out-of-just-about-anything-25-photos/ They think criminals are going to make these. Most are just gonna steal, or buy a stolen gun. In general criminals look for a quick job because a lot are lazy.
  16. @Garufa You never cease to amaze me with the depth of stuff you know. I am guessing this was the cheaper single shot version of the similar multishot revolver.
  17. On the legality of the buyer. If you meet a dude at the local McDonald's to sell him a gun, you are not required to do any checks. As far as I know, the same is true shipping in state. Some people do get a copy of the person's driver's license up front though.
  18. I have followed 3d printing since it was guys hacking apart HP inkjet printers to home brew a 3D printer. This is great!
  19. Can we get some more details? Are there any markings on it? Dates, words, symbols? Is the cylinder flat and one shot like it looks?

    AR500

Lol yep. Maybe they intend to say it can shoot through AR500 armor. I doubt they thought that far though

  22. A lot comes down to the fact that you can make the uninformed scared of anything. Say "Terrible Ghost Guns are gonna kill your family" and the sheep cower in fear. It is the same tactics used since the first guy became leader of a group. Make the group scared of the unknown and they rely on their "fearless" leader. The general public can be blamed as much for swallowing the crap line they get fed. Whatever the issue, use your mind and learn about things so you can make educated choices. People would rather just get their 30 second sound bites from whatever talking head though. No brains needed.
  23. This could be equated to some of the oil industry reaction to alternative fuels and electric cars. While I don't think gun manufacturers have the same level of power, they coukd still push to kill this. The oil industry bought up lots of patents and companies only to shelve them in order to protect their oil sales. That kept innovation in those 2 fields at a standstill for years.
  24. Well that is a bunch of crap....
  25. I got lucky a few years ago to pick up a ton of old Backwoodsman issues cheap. Stuff from the 80's. I love reading back through those. I have actually emailed back and forth with the husband and wife that run it.super nice people. I agree with the gear reviews. All top price stuff. The secret is that these guys get them for free to review. Some they even get to keep. I think that is why they review them. Lol. None of us need a $450 knife or a $350 hatchet. My PSA AR shoots just as fine as the boutique $3000 they review. Tons of people survived for a long time carrying a repurposed butcher knife, basic trader ax, and an old milsurp. One I subscribed to and realized as a mistake was "American Survival Guide". A few tidbits in it, but nothing others haven't covered a dozen times.
