  1. Haven't read the judgement so I have to take the article at face value. Especially since the Government take defrauding the Government pretty seriously. And I have always believed that anyone who can legally walk the streets should be able to arm themselves. trouble is, they let a lot of folks walk our streets that shouldn't be breathing our air. Tell me, does a person who has completed their sentence have less value?
  2. Sorry about the title. If someone has a better suggestion I'll change it. US cannot ban people convicted of non-violent crimes from owning guns-appeals court (msn.com)
  3. guess I need to check out Killdozer. Is it similar to "Falling Down" with A Team skills? I understand, I hate to fight, when I do it's bad.
  4. M2 then to actually shoot, AK47 paratrooper and a Thompson.
  5. if mt house is hit,,,y'all cover your eyes!
  6. I stop in traffic with enough room to escape and try to avoid being in center lanes at traffic lights. I may want to hit what is in front of me in certain circumstances. I also do not want lane keep assistance. It's all old school driving technique and situational awareness, escape and evade. I will scew up ABS in a panic stop EVERY time and I've had ABS for years. Driving with assistance dulls the senses and allows one to lose focus. Not a bad thing for some but it's not for me.
  7. We dropped down a level when we bought our Buick. One of the reasons was to avoid auto braking. It wasn't the determining factor but it did play into the decision. Not trying to be demeaning, self driving is a no-go for me. I have issues with Blind Spot Warning, makes me lazy or whatever. Works well but I learned to drive in a neck brace, mirrors are my friend. LOL!
  8. Not while I only go to the office twice per week. I drive the "second car", in this case an old truck. and I'm 62 so I'd retire before I got my return on investment.
  9. One last note. The green energy, earth savers don't want us mining lithium in the US so we would still be dependent on foreign "energy"
  10. I appreciate all of the input. Learned a few things and since I'm in the auto parts industry that counts. I don't dislike EVs and I do think they make sense for some uses. For my commute of 30 miles one way, with charging stations on our company lot, one would be great for me. But the expense for a "go to work" car is ridiculous. I would be better served by a plug in hybrid. I do think most of the EVs available are, let's say, not pleasant looking. That is purely personal taste as many ICE vehicles are equally unpleasant. The technology is improving by leaps and bounds so the push has been good for that aspect and I expect within my lifetime the benefits will make EVs more practical. BUT, we don't have the charging stations nor the power available to make them a viable replacement for ICE at this time. I do not believe EV is going to last. I read that VOLVO has put several hydrogen fuel cell trucks on the road. Fuel cell tech could be the answer. All of this and I have for decades believed in diversifying our fuel needs. So EV is good on that front. My biggest issue is the socialist puppet trying to force these down my throat. I dislike anything that's pushed on me. I'm also a full believer in free market economy. The similarities to a certain dictator and "people's car" are too much. The thought that the executives in my company are getting a government kickback funded by my tax dollars chafes my ass. that brings up the picture I have had of Tesla being a status symbol since they delivered their first unit. I realize the tech would be decades away without tax money but let the market drive itself. That is what free market economy means. Do we need alternative fuels? Absolutely. Is this the way to handle it? Not in my opinion. Will I continue to drive ICE vehicles? Oh hell yeah! EVs may be quicker but there's nothing like a good exhaust note to get your attention.
  11. yeah the P32 has been my constant companion. I have other small/medium pistols but this one is always with me. I would seriously consider a Sig 239 if looking for a pocket 9 but I'm a 1911 guy so that might not work for you. Also, I see the slight advantage to pocket pistols thet don't have a manual safety. Double stack is a non starter for pocket for me so nothing is going to add capacity over either of my KelTecs.
  12. I have a pair of cargo shorts that will hide a 4 inch 357 in the front pocket.
  13. I only own one 9mm. KelTec PF9. would make a good pocket pistol with the right holster. very light, very narrow, no safety. My pocket pistol is a P32. oh yeah, great shooter, feeds everything so far. MCARBO springs and flat trigger.
  14. I'd be rolling if it wasn't a sad truth.
  15. Saw the headline, can't bring myself to read it. My faith in humanity is already low enough.
  16. One of the protesters at the Capitol had a sign reading "I'm safer here than in class" This shows So much. I would feel safer surrounded by armed state police and security. As far as vouchers, I would support the idea. Back years ago parochial schools spent less per student, had smaller classes, and produced more college grads. Our schools have gotten too large and unfortunately are not preparing our children for life. Not sure where we are headed but it isn't where we should be. Lastly, luck, fate, or the hand of God was there, 152 rounds fired, 6 lives lost.
  17. just for the record, I have TWO boxes of JHP,,,in 9mm. I lost count on .45. And yes, loaded .45s are heavy. I find that weight comforting.
  18. it's not like conservative, Christian, gun owning, former military, anti-abortion, NRA, etc, types who would be on their list hang out here.
  19. Just a reflection of the entitled self-appreciative part of our current society. Have to laugh. It's the seller's choice, folks have different standards for who to sell to, I see ads with "must have TN CCW" and I pass. Doesn't make me mad or want to start Karen crap. Besides, from the OP comments on how many he has bought/sold it sounds like a flipper. I wouldn't sell to him even if I were selling. I'm keeping everything I have for now. (see regretted sales thread) LOL
  20. I have a Marlin branded 3-6 on my 30-30. the magnification ring doesn't work, the outer ring moves but the mag doesn't change. Does anyone here know how to fix scopes? I want to keep the "matching" scope on this. (since we're discussing scopes on lever rifles) LOL
  21. I have a stack of "well that won't work" I have issues making my own patterns for stuff no one has. Having guns no one makes holsters for is what got me going BTW.
