  2. While here at home the thugs steal guns from cop cars.
  3. I'd buy it back but I won't have the cash ontil after the holidays either. It's a great pistol. GLWS!
  4. It's been a long day. I'm confusing Charter arms and Rossi. Thanks for the memory jog.
  5. Yes the Charter Arms Bulldog. I have read that they had improved even before the Taurus merger. I would want a PUG and might even go for the 357 version.
  6. Wife is aware that I "need" a birdshead Vaquero with under 4 inch barrel. She doesn't yet know about the lever gun I need to match. LOL
  7. Not yet, But a Bulldog is in my future. Odd bit of trivia, a .44 special Bulldog was used by Son of Sam. Also, you can see the bullets from the wrong end.

    WHY?

Our Father will protect me in the end. Study will reveal that even God's chosen are susceptible to the evils of the world. My belief on why Jesus had the apostles arm themselves was to show that he gave himself willingly. It was a visual of the statement that he could call legions of angels to protect him but he did not need protection. I, on the other hand, have to depend on the wisdom and skills He has allowed me to have. Another scripture tells us to defend those who cannot defend themselves. The church I used to attend knew I was at all times armed and it was made clear on occaision that they were comfortable and comforted by the knowledge.

    WHY?

I understand and respect your choice. I would ask that you think about a couple of things. Are you unarmed to and from church? If not, how secure is your firearm in your car for the time you are in the services?
  10. I have dies for both. Acquired them from a gent who retired from cowboy action shooting. Don't own a 45 colt,,,yet. But I can use the dies as leverage with the wife when I set out to buy one.
  11. Yep, If the winning powerball would intervene....
  12. Matilda and Venus. Our Great Dane and our step dog. Venus belongs to my step daughter Timmy, our 7-9 year old part Dane rescue with Matilda Timmy and Matilda competing for Mama's attention. Don't mess with Mama, they don't like that. Timmy is 140lbs of attitude, he knows what you tell him, he just decides if and when he will do it. Matilda is 3 years old, covid dog, she sleeps between us. Venus is a big round ball of chicken. the pic of her laying with Matilda is because she couldn't get out of the corner.
  13. I'm quite a fan of Taurus. My first was a SS 85 back in the mid 80s. It was a trade in from a LEO that felt an autoloader would make a better ankle gun. Good for what it was, grouped good for a snubbie. Trigger on this one was a bit stiff but not gritty. Fit and finish were mediocre. Bought a new 6 inch 669VR at the same time. That one had a great trigger and shot tight groups. I miss both of these, lost in divorce. Currently have a 4 inch SS 608. The heavy cylinder and ported barrel make this a soft shooter with heavy 357 loads. Trigger is excellent on this revolver and fit and finish are very good. Aquired a "sissy" 945 SS at the same time and I adore this pistol. trigger is good especially for an SA/DA gun. Groups are good as are fit and finish. These two were used imports and Taurus does not recognize the serial numbers. This is where I have issues. Taurus would not sell a replacement firing pin group for the 608 becuse they "didn't know what I had". The firing pin wasn't broken, it was missing when I received it BTW. I picked up a 745 at a pawn shop not long ago. Not a fan of striker fired guns and I cannot for the life of me understand why they didn't put a decocker on this. The long takeup on the trigger is awful and I am not comfortable with one in the chamber without the safety on. Fit and finish are good on this piece. I can't tell if it groups well or not as I have not gotten used to the trigger. I had a 4 inch Rossi at one time. Couldn't resisit the Stainless steel 357 with unfluted cylinder. I had to do a bit of polishing of the sear but it was otherwise ok. fit was excellent and it shot well. Nothing newer but I've been happy with all of the Taurus and on Rossi I've owned. I will buy more and do not consider them as second choice to anything except a Python. Currently tracking prices on Taurus 1911, the duo tone model specifically. I'm also looking at PT 145s. well, guess I'm collecting Taurus .45 ACP now.
  14. I had a small coy pond where we used to live. They will clean one out if you don't watch.
  15. My sister has arthritis in her hands. She shot the course with a 22 and almost zero training. yes, she passed.
  16. Have not seen one of these this nice in many years. I can tell you these little things will not fail.
  17. How dare you assume to know what I think or how I engage others. Who gave you any authority to speak for anyone else? I speak for myself, both at the polls and after. I do not attend demonstrations, I do not engage in surveys. My stance is quite transparent and well known by those around me at work, at church, and in public for those who pay attention. My understanding of the Us Constitution is obviously better than yours because you would sit down and negotiate with those who wish to tear it down. And for what? to feel like you have accomplished something? Something like squandering away what is rightfully and legally ours? you're barking up the wrong tree in the wrong woods. Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)
  18. This was my "red flag" We are entrenched because the anti's are never satisfied with compromise. We are talking about a God given right guaranteed not to be infringed by our constitution. I will not engage further.
  19. Same level of intellect as "Boss Hogg"
  20. they say a man who can make a woman laugh can maintain the relationship. Don't know how I've kept my dear wife for 20 years, she does NOT get my sense of humor. See @gregintenn's idea, Mrs does get a kick out of that. Otherwise, show her every day that you love her and she's the most important thing in your life.
  21. I'm sick to death of Giffords view of state's gun laws. Quote all of their line on the news and fail to mention Maine has flag laws and he was know to be mentally unstable. It's the lack of gun control laws that is the cause of this. Maine gets a B in gun laws and an F- in follow through. THERE! put that s#!t on the news.
  22. the anti gunners will use this for years. news cycle will probably be lengthened in light of the current administration foaming at the mouth over ARs
  23. you can't offend me, I held a flashlight for my dad
