1. It has been my experience that since the bolt locks into the barrel extension, the barrel/barrel extension assembly should be properly headspaced when you purchase it. Now if you were putting these pieces together yourself, you'd need to check the headspace. If you have any doubt, your local gunsmith should have a set of go/no go gauges with whit he could verify a proper headspace for you for a nominal fee.
2. A duck walks into the pharmacy and asks to purchase a condom. The clerk rings up the sale and asks, "Will that be cash or charge?"   The duck says, "Just put it on my bill." :D
3. We were there from 2001 till when; last year? If we didn't fix anything in that amount of time, what makes you think going back will make any difference?   When Bush was president, you'll likely remember the nightly national news on all 3 networks began their broadcast with a daily death toll of our forces in Iraq; EVERY NIGHT.   Today, they seem to be cheerleading attacks there. I wouldn't get too wrapped up in what is shown on the news.
4. I believe that is taken pretty much straight form the Koran. Why doesn't someone besides the U.S. pitch in a helping hand for a change?
5. I see. So why can't they defend themselves? We simply cannot continue to be the world's policeman. We have to many of our own problems to address.
6. Could it be they aren't designed for 230 FMJ? I haven't tried any 185 grain mid range loads in it. I looks almost new. I can't find anything wrong with it. Again, it may just be me.
7. Not trying to sound insensitive, but why the hell can't the Iraqi people do something about it? I'm of the opinion that the Muslims that don't actively take part in terrorism still support either directly or indirectly. I've heard very few ever speak out against it.
8. If you ever find yourself up this way, you are welcome to try them both. Maybe it's just me, but I've never been able to get a good group from the Gold Cup.
9. I can't speak to the Glock, but my LCP functions flawlessly with Magtech ammo. I can tell you that my youngest son is small, and he tends to be limp wristed when firing it. Sometimes it fails to feed or eject with him. So do 1911s. The LCP works flawlessly with me. I would make sure you have a high and solid grip on it when firing. If it persists, it might be time for a new recoil spring.   You are correct, that is unacceptable for a handgun.
10. Not really. They are a 1911, built like a 1911 should be, in nearly any configuration you can think of, and are fairly priced.
11. Where are you all finding 22 magnum ammo? I'd like to buy a couple of boxes of hollow point Winchester, but evidently, it isn't available at this time.
12. http://www.grashornsgunworks.com/ I bought them from this fellow. He is first rate! 70 series. About the only negatives you'll find about them are from people who've never held or fired one, and think them junk because of their price.
13. Not a full size, but my 4" is great. I can shoot it more accurately than my 70 series Colt Gold Cup, and it has yet to have a failure of any kind. I have no complaints, and would buy another one. I think they are one of the best handgun values available today.
14. ...and the only "good" rifle has lever or bolt on it.
15. Every time I've seen this come up on gun forums, and it happens with regularity, I've asked for anyone to link to a case in which handloaded ammunition has been a determining factor in a self defense case. Perhaps there's one out there, but so far I've not seen it.   I deer hunt with handloads. They do nothing magical that a factory load will not do.   I wonder if there were trial lawyers back in the cap and ball days.......EVERYONE handloaded!
16. Man, I'll bet a 25acp is an aggravating little bugger to load! 9mm is borderline too small for me.
17. I wouldn't consider that safe for most normal applications....and it IS still a 2 stage trigger.
18. Depends on what I'm carrying. 380s are small and tedious to load, so I carry factory ammo. If I'm carrying a 38 or 45, they'll likely have handloads in them.
19. If you want a really good trigger, you have to buy another type rifle than an AR 15.
20. You guys give me hope for the future of our country.   Everything I have I owe to Jesus, and my wife. A good wife will pat you on the back when it's deserved, and put a foot to your hind end when it's appropriate as well.   Oh yeah.....28 is a LOOOOOOOOONG way back in my rear view mirror!
21. I would say a Geissele trigger isn't a necessity on an AR, but they do make them easier to shoot well, and more enjoyable to shoot. If that's worth $150-200 to you, go for it. If you are quite budget conscience, you can get by with a less expensive trigger. As other have stated, if you buy one and don't like it, it wouldn't be difficult to resell.
22. If you would have stayed on the line, I'm guessing she WAS with the NRA, and would have hit you up for money shortly.
23. Good point! I believe my creator would refer to this as hypocrisy, and takes a very dim view of it.
