Point of fact, flamethrowers are completely unregulated on the federal level. Only a handful of states have regulations concerning them. They are actually a rather commonly used farm implement. Folks really should know what in the hell they are talking about before they open their mouths.

That’s the way I’ve always taken you in the past, but your rhetoric as of late has shifted in tone in such a manner that it causes one to have doubts. If I am reading you incorrectly, that would be wonderfully nice, but I can only operate from the impression I’ve gotten from your posts supporting ERPOs, banning of various accessories and a vibe of resignation to the inevitable. Whether it is from disdain for items or loophole exploitations, changing your views, or a belief in a lack of choice other than having to give something up, I would implore anyone dancing on this fence to take the lesson from Neville Chamberlain in that appeasement is never a winning strategy.

But you aren’t arguing against changes as far as I can tell, Dave. As disappointingly as Dan Crenshaw’s recent turn, you’re arguing FOR the same “common sense” nibbles as the grabbers at this point.

This reminds me of the old ship repairman story. There are a bunch of different versions of it, but the gist of all is the same.

I mean, if you’re looking for guns in .40, find dealers that stock police trade ins. There are tons of those out there as departments around the country ditch the round in droves.

My answer may have appeared to have been made glibly, but it wasn’t. I’ve carried both the 1.0 M&P 9c and the 1.0 Shield9 for a number of years prior to getting my 2.0 9 Compact. At first I was not a fan of the new texture as I thought it was excessively rough. Then I shot it and kept shooting it. The more I shot the 2.0, the more I came to realize just how slick the grips on the 1.0s were. The more I realized how much of an improvement the 2.0 grip texture was, the less it bothered me. So an undershirt or some minor roughness against the skin has become a minor sacrifice that’s outweighed by the benefits of the 2.0s texture.

I started wearing undershirts.

This reminds me how much I want to shoot a 4 bore rifle. I know I’ll never be able to afford to own one like a gorgeous Holland & Holland, but I’d love to just hold and fire one at least once.

I’ve been getting a hankering for a lever action in 45-70 myself these days. I’m pretty sure it’s a sign of advancing age. I’m ok with that.

Recently picked up this gem from @bud and managed to get to the range with it this week. She’s a great shooter, even if I’m not. Half size silhouette at 10yds.
