  1. With a good Epoxy like West System, you shouldn't need that much weight on top of it - just try to get the air out best you can and don't worry about it too much.  Since you're not sandwiching they plywood on two sides with waterproof material, moisture should still be able to vaporize and leave through the inside of the trailer.  You shouldn't have to worry about rot like you do when you sandwich wood.  It's not cheap, but a little goes a long way.   You're going to want the slow hardener.  In this temperature, the pot life is going to be shorter anyway, so do it in the evening or early morning.  And, with epoxy like this, once it gets tacky, it's too late.  When that stuff cooks off, you're starting over.  Mix up as much as you need and not any more.  Do it in batches.  Pay specific attention to the ratios.  Get both sides clean enough, and you should get good adhesion.   I don't think I've got any slow cure hardener, but I should have some pumps that ensure the proper ratios if you want to borrow them.   All that said, for a system like this Liquid Nails or some variant will probably work fine, too.  Maybe use some screws or rivets to mechanically bond them, too and call it a day.
  2. I'd go with a two part epoxy that's going to cure as a part of a chemical process. Something like a West System 105.
  3. Congrats on being cancer free! That's huge! With your history, you know how much better being fit will make you feel. Being a bit older than you were the last time, it actually means a lot more because you'll have to work for it. I work out five days a week at the Maryland Farms YMCA, so I definitely know the 'see and be seen' crowd. It used to get on my nerves, but I don't even notice it now. It's worse during certain times of the year where it'll be crowded for a week or so, and then it goes back to the normal crowd. Most of the social types seem to congregate on the tennis courts, so I rarely have to wait for a machine.
  4. While I wouldn't necessarily want to use this on one of my weapon lights, it's a brilliant idea.   Adding a microprocessor and a sensor to adapt the light to the setting is a great way to conserve battery and make a light better suited to a wide range of applications.  I wouldn't hesitate to pick one of these up for walking around the neighborhood.
  5. It's A trick General Sherman. There's two of 'em... http://youtube.com/watch?v=SJ4u-BnVVJQ
  6. I'm way too busy for this today...
  7. Hey, that's awesome!  Thanks for sharing.   It's amazing how little we know about these miraculous bodies that we inhabit.  And, that in 2015 they're still making basic discoveries that are absolutely changing people's lives for the better.
  8. My honest suggestion to you would be to go read the Code of Conduct of our community and then go back and review your most recent posts. The delta between those things was the reason for your temporary suspension.
  9. I think I'd save another $40 and buy a Kidd trigger that's a known quantity. Or, I'd just drop some volqartsen internals into my existing factory group. Truthfully for me, it's no question. If I'm screwing with the trigger I'm dropping in a Kidd.
  10. That's pretty fast on the bipod!
  11. I'd love to put that stock on a 300BLK Handi-rifle. It would be bucking a trend is live to see start moving in the other direction. Call it less tactical - more cool.
  12. Kind of. Though, if I'm being honest I've got a soft spot for your favorite .358 Winchester, too. I figure if I'm shooting subsonic and limited to 1040ish FPS, then I may as well make the biggest hole I can.
  13. I'm kind of excited to see the Hog Hunter in 338 Federal. As offered by Savage, here: http://media.vistaoutdoor.com/p/SA/586.aspx
  14. I carry a j-frame because I can get a full firing grip on it while it's in my pocket and don't have to change that grip at all as I draw. Try as I might with my build (6'0" and 150lbs if I've had a good breakfast) and a pair of 501s, I've yet to replicate that with an auto without some compromise. The smallest ones like the LCP are actually the worst for me in that regard. Now, if I'm carrying on my belt - I'm choosing something larger. And by the time a pistol makes it to my hip, I've not got any question about whether or not it's going to work if needed. But, if I'm going to pocket carry - and I do a lot - I'll choose my well worn M&P 340CT every time.
  15. We've had a few not even make it to a first post.
  16. If the state really wanted to make some money, they'd institute a "lifetime TICS fee". They'd make money and some of y'all would be in the black in a couple of weeks.
  17. To quote the immortal Lewis Grizzard, "I probably could've headed this whole thing off, but I was intrigued so I just waited..."
  18. Waze for me - especially in metro areas.
  19. Yeah, but if you eat more than 28, you'll break the record...
  20. You've exceeded the stated capacity for those wire shelves :)
  21. I knew y'all were in the process of making a big change, but didn't know it involved going all the way to Wyoming!   I spent a couple of weeks out there with a client last summer.  It's a great state full of people who are truly the salt of the earth.     Don't be a stranger!
  22. When beggars can't be choosers, I wouldn't bat an eye at fielding any of Ryan's stuff.
  23. Yeah, I've got that same barrel profile in .308 and it shoots great.   Any manufacturer is going to produce a dog every now and then.  What separates the men from the boys is what they do about the issue when they find out about it.  I'm sure BHW will take care of it.  Your dealer pretty much already confirmed this by his willingness to take the burden off of you.
  24. When I was a kid, our scout troop got to "go to sea" for a weekend on the USS Flatley (FFG 21).  While it was a weekend training exercise in the calm waters of the Gulf of Mexico - if I recall it was heading from Pensacola NAS back over to Mayport, FL. I'll never forget the slack-jawed look on my fellow scouts' faces as we got to watch the Phalanx CIWS in action. We all thought it was the greatest thing in the world.   I don't think that stuff happens much in a post 9/11 world, and that's a shame.  I know for a fact that the openness/access that various military installations gave our scout troop directly influenced several in our troop to undertake careers in the military later on.
  25. I don't know that anyone has ever regretted the purchase of a Kidd product.  You won't find better quality anywhere in the 10/22 space.   I shoot a Kidd barrel, and a couple of Kidd triggers.  The barrel groups great, but obviously it's only one part of a gun built with quality components.  The triggers on the other hand stand in a category by themselves.  From the moment you take one out of the box you know that you're holding quality.  Pull one alongside a factory trigger and you'll never go back the other way.
