1. Midway had some of this same stuff in stock last week:   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/2586338248/armscor-ammunition-22-long-rifle-36-grain-high-velocity-lead-hollow-point   Larry isn't losing money at $23.99.
2. Man, that looks great.  Is it dipped or painted?
3. A woman who'll take your truck will cut you.
4. We've got a vendor on here that has been selling bricks of .22LR at $25 and still making money. But, he's been doing it so our kids can shoot, not so our members can flip it and resell it. A few posters above were exactly correct. We need more good shops in middle Tennessee - especially local, non-big box stores. I've no idea what these guys paid for this ammo. I expect it was close to normal wholesale, but in fact they may have paid some premium to get two pallets worth all at once. They misread the market and way overpriced it, and as such have suffered damage to their brand integrity and reputation. Businesses make mistakes. They're new and small, and so they're due a couple. I just hope they're not so leveraged that the consequences of a mistake like this are magnified across their business. I know we've got bunch of members who have been in the gun business and are cringing as they read this thread because they've been there in some way. I pull for small business. I just hope these guys can get it back on course before it's too late.
5. I ran somewhere close to a bajillion plated 147gr Berry's through a factory Glock barrel before I moved to a threaded Storm Lake barrel. No problems.
6. They sure are fun.  I kind of prefer the DDLES variant - http://www.shop.doublediamondsupply.com/
7. Hey, that looks great!
8. Glock owners don't get to complain about magazine prices...   It's probably one of the strongest selling points for the platform.  You can walk into just about any gun shop in America and walk out with a magazine.  $30 is cheap when you're looking at a factory magazine.  Clearly you can go cheaper when looking at KCI or other type equivalents.   I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see them cheaper, only that I'm thankful when I compare them to some magazines I've bought over the years.
9. I'll echo others.  If you're not already in, stay out it.   Having it replaced as a condition of sale might be an option, but I'm guessing it would be expensive enough as to cause the seller to back out.
10. I'd choose whichever model comes with a 10hp Briggs&Stratton attached to the reel. ;)
11. I keep thinking of the old Ian Maclaren quote today, "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
12. You can look at another side of this to, perhaps a "positive?" aspect of his misguided protests. How many Christians had to really think about and in a lot of cases give voice to their faith because of him - maybe in some cases only to figure out how they were different. Reading the writings of his kids and family, his choices certainly made them struggle with their faith until the point they left. He was vocal in his hatred, especially of gays, but how many of us harbor those same hatreds - maybe just less vocally? Gays? Immigrants? Blacks? Democrats? We all like to pretend we're somehow better, but my heart is pretty black a lot of the time...
13. I hope that God's grace is sufficient for Fred Phelps, as misguided, hateful and sinful as he was. Because frankly, if it's not then I'm pretty sure I don't have much more hope. God will judge us all. Without his grace, I'm in the same boat as Fred. I may not be as public about it, but I can be pretty dang misguided, hateful and sinful myself.
14. If you believe $0.10+ is the new normal, then you better get centerfire while you can, because you're living in a time where the rest of the market is underpriced but the manufacturers haven't jacked prices up, yet. That's the problem. If they figure out the market will bear these prices, then sport shooters are done. Even if you reload, component cost will eventually price most of us out.
15. WSJ reporting US consensus it was hijacked.
16. And the only two you've got checked are "forums" and "content I've not read"?    Is it in the browser or on Tapatalk?
17. Wait, I thought both of those were just stepping stones to the M4?   ;)
18. I'm fighting this urge to call you a heretic because this is pretty dang cool.   Nonetheless, I'd get your junk in order in case they decide to burn you at the stake!
19. And, we all need to remember perspective.   There are a lot of things in life that seem important.  There are a few things that really are.    Great grandkids have got to be pretty cool.  I'd put them in the later category!   Have fun!
20. I hope that they do find the wreckage soon.   While terribly tragic, that's a lot better than them finding a bunch of empty barrels of Jet A at the end of a runway on some atoll.   As small as the modern world seems, things like this show that in fact it's still really big.  I actually take a little bit of comfort in that.
21. Reminded me of this old DSL add:

Tavor time

I always love seeing your pictures...you've sure got some sexy kit!
23. Go.  It doesn't matter if it's posted.   Seriously, even if you go in unarmed and someone tries to knock it over, how many patrons of Logan's in Mt. Juliet do you think aren't armed?   Any criminal that would consider knocking over a Logan's need to seriously rethink their decision making paradigm.
24. You have more faith in humanity than I do...   Seriously.  It's 2 pallets of rimfire ammo sitting in Brentwood.  Some dude's already bought it at asking price and is treating it as an arbitrage opportunity selling it to his "friends" at $100/brick.  "Hey man, I was able to score some ammo, you in?"   I hope the market turns at some point and a lot of resellers are caught with ammo they paid too much for.  This is not likely to be that ammo, though.   Seriously, though.  If someone gets a situation report, let us know
