  1. BHunted...sorry for your troubles brother. That's all pretty rough timing, but glad you are safe. Worst to happen to us was the 2010 flood her in Nashville. Won't bore you with all the details, but the damage list included 2 vehicles(Totalled by Insurance), HVAC system, and mold remediation under the house. Not something I ever want to go thru again. Wouldn't wish it omy enemies!
  2. Not nearly so bad as your incident, pop pop. I pulled an embarrassing stunt Monday afternoon. After taking a yard sale purchase my wife made to a location to be powder coated...I decided to unhook my 10 ft. utility and roll it into my usual storage spot. Short version of a long story. I didn't get enough forward momentum to position it aginst the chocks and it rolled back on me. Dodged the tongue and frame, but backpeddling didn't work and I planted my butt on the gravel and had the trailer smack me in the leg before it stopped. Now the leg is fine. At least as fine as bad leg can be. But my back and butt aren't to happy with me. Got some spectacular bruises...no pics on this...and sore low back and ribs. Wife didn't know i was doing this. So you can guess the conversation that ensued. As I lay on the ground contemplating the vaguries of life and stupid old men that refuse to accept what we cannot do any longer...I just thought of more pleasant days...like when I could walk without a cane. Make love all night long and pleasure a woman to screams of ecextasy. Well the first part anyway. Cursing myself heavily, I had to crawl over to the bumper of my vehicle to have a brace to get up. Then wifey pokes her head out and asks what's taking so long! Women!! Glad you are ok. If your doc is anything like mine...it could be an interesting conversation as you attempt to explain why you thought you could do this. Good luck with it.
  3. Git cher glass in an yer paintin did right an she'll look right gud1
  4. Looked at one a few days ago. Interesting piece. Don't know if I have a 40 you might like. I'll look and see if I have anything. always like to deal with you! lol. Really. I'll see what I have and let you know.
  5. Interested in the CS Rock. Anyone have one they would like to sell or trade on? Let me know and let's talk about it. Thanks for looking.
  6. Simple Solution...BUY IT! LOL!!
  7. Fool that I am...I passed by a Rival soon after hearing of it. Very big mistake! Finding one, and getting "fair" price on it is getting harder to do. As far as the "chrome" finish...Oh Yes! I'd take one. I'm a big Canik fan. Have been for years. Was trolling for them here all along. lol. But really guys, the Canik line is amazing. I have a very hard time with chosing between Walther and Canik. Recently got a 22 mag Walther, but...I must admitit; I think the Canik SF line has Walther beat. Now if Canik comes out with a 22 mag...Lord I'm in BIG trouble!
  8. Wonderful to hear this. All your friends here are happy for you and we will continue to pray for your recovery. My brother-in-law had a quadruple bypass in 2012/13? Took him a bit less time to recover his "normal" mobility. But he was a stubborn jackass. Refused to go by the proscribed regimine and had lots of pain because of it. Just do it the right way and you'll be fine. Legs may not be as pretty though! LOL!
  9. So sad. A really great guy from all I've seen on him over the years. And like res308, watched many reviews from him. He will be missed by many across America. Condolences to his family and friends.
  10. Yes. It seems to be raising the hackles on the left bigtime! So many are praising this that I may have to drag the wife to a theater next week! Plus has Jim Caviezal! A great actor. A man of Conviction and stands by it! My more liberal friends are putting it down. That's good enough for me!
  11. These really are Good photos! Make the pistol look even better. I must admit, it was very hard to lay the one I held back down. It just looked so great. The finish was awesome on it. But now got my juices up on a Bobcat 22. Just like the idea of the can being bigger than the pistol and a weakness for 22. BAD.
  12. With my "clones" and the Detective, I've a few more than that, but nothing to brag about. Hmmm...don't you need a nice Tanget Sight model to go with those? LOL. Have you seen the FN Herstal BDA Browning 9mm version? Sweet little pistols. A bit smaller than our Detective models.
  13. All of the above comments! This is one sweet looking Smith! My fondness for 45acp revolvers makes me very envious of you!
  14. Thanks, Skyhunter for your thoughts on the SA 35. I've been screaming that I would purchase one asap. lol. Well, I ran across one recently, but had to pass it by...for now. Being old, retired, and no play money left; I had to pass on this one. (I had just bouth another Walther. LOL.) So I made the very hard decision to wait. Trying to not use CC and remove them from my life right now. Anyway, I agree with your physical assessment of the pistol. A big hesitation came while I was fondling the SA35...it sure does look and feel like a CZ75! In fact, I was having flashbacks to my range time with the 75! Yes similar, but I probably will not let that little detail stop me in the future! I imagine it would shoot and handle every bit as good as the CZ. So glad you gave in, and appreciate your comments.
  15. Welcome Hugh! I think you'll like this place.
  16. The Man! The Legend! Charlie Daniels! There will never be another like him! Little tidbit. Met Charlie briefly at the Nashville SureShot Chili Cookoff long, long ago. A real gentleman!
  17. Watch where you park! The Hood is just across the street and those tires will just fit that old Chevy Box!
  18. Hello? Darwin Institute? I have a likely candidate for today's award for you.
  19. Well... I guess someone found a solution.
  20. Great comments, Sir. Good assessment of the situation and possible future events. This tortured soul had problems. Of that there is little doubt. I question whether any one ideaology will explain this tragedy. All we can do is hope to learn from it and strive to protect our children and ourselves.
  21. I feel like saluting this flag!
