I don't see the model I bought, but I have 4 of them and they all seem to be accurate. Figures read virtually the same in the safes. Both the ones listed above should be good.

Looks and sounds good. Personally, I've not seen the LCPll, so I really can't make any intelligent comments on it. I will say it has to be better than the previous 2 LCP incarnations. lol

Are they necessary? I don't really think so, but it is a good to keep track of the humidity level inside your safe. Just a little added peace of mind. I use both in my safes, and have a room dehumidifier also. We have a lot of humidity due to water near the house. I've bought mine from Amazon. Around 12 bucks iirc. Some higher, some lower. Stay away from the cheap models. In my experience they fail to give accurate readings, and sometimes not work at all. Yes, I've experienced this thru trial and error with the products.

Awesome!!! I heard about them, saw an ad, and totally forgot to order one.

It's a great pistol! Just wait till you get it on the range. It's even more impressive there. Congrats on a wise selection. lol I still want a Night Watchman too.

Now that's cold!

I see no problem with that. Mature, sane individuals like ourselves appreciate the fine flavor of a properly done cut of beef. In fact, I plan to do just that this evening.

Neat! I've not gotten hold of any of the Pitbull guns, but I keep hearing of them. Glad to know yours functions well. I'm guessing it has a bit of bite to it?
-
Agreed on all points. Especially the last one.

I understand. lol Bought a very sweet 10/22 that Dolo built a few years ago. It's a darn tack driver. I'd sit drink cans, and old shaving cream cans out as targets. Sure miss doing that.

area-knoxville Gun show at Kerbela Shrine Temple?

Wish I could go. Going into withdrawals. Haven't been to a show in at least 3 years. -
If I should ever make a mistake...I'll let you know. lol I've had a couple of people wanting it over the years, but at the time, I was blessed enough not to need to sell. I should make a revolver day at G&L next week. Maybe the 547, a 19, and the 625. That should wear my butt out.

Correct, Sir. I just posted in the thread on auto calibers in revolvers, and several of my really nice(to me) guns are in that catagory. I don't have anything of a really high value, that I'm aware of anyway. I buy very few as "investments." My tastes are eclectic to borderline bizarre, but I only have a few that were truly a mistake to purchase. The little Walther PK380 probably is number one on the current mistake list. Anyway, my "treasures" are Dad's guns, and some I just wanted. I have a few goodies. lol Not bad for an old fart who started out buying Taurus from shop guys when I was a parts seller.

Not sure I can give an answer that will explain this. I do happen to have a couple of revolvers that are chambered for 9mm and 45. Really fun to shoot, accurate, and slow down the impulse to blast away as fast as possible. I find that I am more accurate with a revolver, and my Smith Model 19s rank at the top of favorites. I do happen to have one of the 547 Smiths. I got it really, really cheap in the early 90s. It's one of my "keepers."
-
LOL! How did you know the figure?
-
I guess I'm about in the middle on this. bought a few things this years. Some good, some not so much so. Probably am leaning on the downside here, I haven't shot as much this year. Health problems have slowed me down on going to a range. I keep saying I'm going to "downsize," but just can't make that decision yet.

Never been to it, but my brother-in-law is going. He says it's worth it. But he lives less than 10 miles away. -
PSA has the Tac 14 now for 269.99 shipped.

I firmly believe this to be the truth...USA made NB shoes are great! The cheapos found in the stores are made in China. They do not give support, are uncomfortable, and just will not hold up to the type of use people like us give them. My chiropractor told me back in the early 80's that my cheap shoes were part of my back and leg pain. Richard(Totty...RIP my friend) told me, after looking at my inexpensive/cheap shoes..."Go spend at least $100 on a good pair of walking/running shoes and come back after you've worn them for a week." I did just that. Searched all the big name brands and settled on New Balance for a very good and comfortable shoe and fit. Need I say it? I've been wearing them since them. A foray once into Sketchers and Nike that didn't work out for the long term. My current, well worn pair(s), I purchased at the NB store in Green Hills. I can't find a number on them, but they were supposed to be the "second" best in their line at the time. I guess I'll do some shoe shopping next week. Thanks for all the info and recommendations I've found here. And Kahrman...I agree. That's all I've worn for years.

I use Powerstep Pro inserts in my athletic shoes. They work well for me. Also in my Dunham casual/dress shoes.

Thanks for the tip. Seems there is one on Hillsboro Road, but that area's traffic makes me want to just go to Brentwood instead. lol Seriously though, I'll give them a look. And Thanks to all who have given me some new ideas here.

That actually looks pretty good. Very interesting. Now...if I can combine the Suarez folder with this....That would be really interesting and fun!
-
Merrell has a great reputation. I've never checked into them for some reason. The moc-slip-on really looks interesting, but I've had trouble getting into a slip-on type shoe. I have, like you, really damaged my right foot, and it's a chore to get good fitting and comfortable shoes. I'll do some looking and see if there is a retailer in Nashville that has them.

NB 1400? I'm behind on this. I do have several issues with my feet, so I understand your statements. I'll have to check these out. You "recommend shoes professionally." Does that mean you work/sell retail? If so, I'd gladly support a brother in arms...so to speak.
