Wow! You really have quite the list of dislikes for them. That's ok. Not all pistols are for every person. Thanks for your reply and elaborating.

Safe Queens? Not hardly. All mine get regular attention, though not as much lately due to health issues. Although I do prefer striker firing pistols for normal carry, I do take the MKIII out some. I actually find it easer to carry than some of my other pistols. They do go in the "house gun" rotation as well. It's surprising where you can conceal a pistol around here. lol

Would you elaborate on this comment please? I have 3 BHPs of varying ages, and a couple of Argentine Hipowers, plus an FN Hipower BDA 9. I find them extremely shootable and have experienced no problems with any of them. All are factory stock pistols, with no "improvements."

TGO 10year Anniversary Knife Official Thread
hipower replied to willis68's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Received mine today. Wow. It is an impressive piece of work, to say the least! A bit bigger than I really prefer, as my tastes run to a bit smaller knife. But for now, it will reside with my other TGO cutley. lol Thanks again Steve. You have once again outdone yourself. -
I agree. Oil speculators seem to drive the prices more than OPEC.

Dick's Sporting Goods anti 2nd A
hipower replied to Patrick Henry's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I've made few purchases from Dick's. Three to be exact. A StackOn Safe during a sale in '04. A treadmill in '05. And finally that same year, a crapload of Remy 9 during a sale. But otherwise, I found their store, for a multitude of reasons, just not to my liking. Ooops...I'm wrong. I did make one other purchase. In '09, a distant relative was heading to Afganistan. Several of us went searching for UnderArmor gear for him. But even then, I found little there. We bought most of it at Academy. -
LOL! Same here brother. I need to inventory again, but it's a large number. Being my "favorite" caliber, I tend to have a few boxes around.

Thanks Garufa, I was close, but not quite there on the explanation. I just know that these are 2 that will never leave me. Both came from my Father.

I have had, and traded for and bought many, many rounds of Freedom Munitions 9mm. I've liked them quite a bit, until...this. I've had 2 cases split in the chamber. Horizontally around the case about 1/4 inch above the primer and base. Both fired, but sounded a bit "off" to me. On inspection, I found that the rim and case ejected, but the upper portion of the case stayed in the chamber. Both times the situation was easily remedied with the use of a dowel rod. But it has made me somewhat leery of FM products. JMO

I believe "Combat Masterpiece" refers to items and features on the pistol, not a specific pistol in itself. Wide trigger and hammer are examples of the features. I own a Combat Masterpiece K-frame 38Sp, and a Combat Masterpiece K-22, which is a K-frame in 22Mag. I think more knowledgeable people here will give better info on this.

All you guys are making me want one! Mossy or Remy? Still thinking. Think a 20 in either. Any comments on either one?

Wow. Losing all my heroes. Rest in Peace, Sir.

I'm a fan of the RI 1911 as well, but my favorite Rock is a GI model in 9mm. Changed the sights to a combat form and a green front and it is a great shooter. Also have a Metro Arms hard chromed 1911 in a bobtailed version. It is an exceptional pistol. If I had to choose a fav 1911, I'd be hard pressed to do so. It really depends on the caliber I guess. Sig ranks pretty high for me personally, but all those others out there are sweet as well.

As a die-hard Smith revolver fan...I grudgingly admit that some of the Rugers do have fantastic triggers right out of the box. As far as the SP101, I've had several over the years. Actually bought 2 at the same time once. I found a shop closing and he made me a good price on a pair. One with a hammer and a Crimson Trace grip model that was hammerless. I sold the hammer version a while back, but still have the other one...unfired. lol Safe queen. I really should try and sell it.

THIS is what activism looks like. What is our side doing?
hipower replied to TGO David's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Yes, I was thinking more along the lines of an anti movement from Canada was very suspect. So, I was close. -

Pardon me...I'm slow. So what does this mean? -
Link shows it at 59.59.

Some of PSA's pricing is good, some about average. Occasionally some really great prices show up. You just about have to know other sources pricing to judge from and see how it compares. As far as shipping times, I've never had a late delivery. Sometimes have been amazed at how quickly my order arrived. I guess it just depends on how many others go for the same items. One cautionary thought though; if you see a good price on an item you want...don't wait. It will disappear quickly.

Same old questions here. I hear there's a show at the Lebanon National Guard Armory. Is that right? Just heard it on the radio. Any comments on it?
-
Yes. They are very good to deal with. Bought way too much from them over the last 8/10 years. lol Everything from ammo and parts to complete rifles and pistols. I don't hesitate to purchase from them.
-
LOL! It can be very confusing with PSA ordering. It took me a while as well, but finally did get it all sorted out. I recently bought a 4" 9 upper to go the pistol route with. It will look just so cute.

Sweet pistol! I had it's little brother, the original EMP and it was fantastic! This should be even better.
