I can't speak to the issue of the guide rod unit in glocks, but I have an XD45 Tactical with one and it functions perfectly. Has not affected the reliability of the gun at all.

Sig 220 or XD45 Tactical for me. I've had several of each and find them to be the most favorable autoloading 45 for me.

Interesting weapons, but after checking them out this weekend , I'm not too keen on them. Awfully bulky and cumbersome it seemed to me. Nice tech achievement, but since I'm not going to have one with select fire capabilities, I'd have to pass on it because of the price. Not saying they aren't neat, but just not for me. Too many other ways to spend 1700+.

Congrats on your new guns. I have both. Never had a problem with my P3AT, it's been a good little pocket companion. And the 22/45...I love it! Fun and accurate. I got the threaded barrel version with a Sigmark red dot. It's a blast. Just got my can for it and am having a better time than ever.
