  1. Harsh, brother, Harsh. But seriously, I mourn the lose of a life in such a wasteful fashion. It seems that for material success, fame, and wealth in the entertainment industry, this is a fairly common, almost predictable outcome. We've come to idolize these "celebrities" to the point of insanity. It almost gives them, at least some of them anyway, a false sense of who they are; almost to the point of indestructibility. I personally was not fond of her singing or acting, but that's my choice, not a criticism. And finally, as with Garufa and others, I lament the fact that her death will garner world-wide attention for the mere fact that she could sing well, when the loss of our servicemen and women goes almost unnoticed.
  2. Maybe there is hope for the Canadian gun owners after all. we will just have to follow it's course and see.
  3. And you'd be right. Along with every pro-O, liberal give-a-way, Support OWS, and any other piece of crap you can imagine.
  4. No disputes on the money issues, my friend. I've had a few more years than you to accumulate the firearms. It just takes a stubborn streak not to let go of one when you find another you want. I've waited quite a while for some. You just have to prioritize...life, wife, kids, toys. It will all come togethe in time.
  5. There are rumors of that happening. And I'd be in line for one as well. And the PMR-30 is a fun range toy. Verified by me. I'd think a nice trail gun as well.
  6. Same for me. And I just hate to look like the lib up the street with the backside of his cars plastered with propaganda.

    M60 or LCR

This. Although the 2 I have get very little carry. One was my dad's, one from my father-in-law. More sentimental value for me than anything else. But that's not to say they aren't a viable choice for me should the need arise.
  8. I'll carry BryanP's comment a little further here. Yes, in reality it is rather unnecessary as it is just another platform for the cartridge. But tell me how that means it can't or shouldn't be done. Why literally hundreds of different 1911 forms, many in different calibers as well. It's just another import from the European market, where variety seems mor commonplace than here. And Yes, I too have several 357 guns, and I do on occasion run a 38 wadcutter thru them.
  9. Because some of us are just wired that way and happen to like the 9mm revolver. I have 2 btw, a S&W and a Taurus. But as to the orginal question, no, I have no knowledge of this particular one. Looks substatial though. Would have to see personally to really critique it.
  10. Maybe not the best news story ever written, but certainly about two very honorable, committed, and feeling men with a sense of right and wrong. Thank you Sheriff Pastor and SGT Troyer.
  11. Pretty much aagree with walton6467 on the G19. Size and weight are crucial factors for me.The 23 would be next, followed by a 24.
  12. Yeah, it's a shame the guns we seem to like and shoot the best are not always the easiest for carry.
  13. You know, I thought I'd missed your warped sense of humor and skewed perspective on life. I was wrong.
  14. Welcome back to being armed. Great choice. I've had several XD45s in various lengths. Personal favorite is the 5" tactical model.
  15. Actually, that would make just about as much sense as the milk bust.
  16. Been seeing the ads, looks really intense. I'll have to find the book. I alyways try to read before seeing a film. Sometimes it helps to undrstand what's going on more. And at other times it just makes you wish they hadn't even tried to do a movie.
  17. Yeah, I have one that coud be a candidate for a little dress up.
  18. Thanks for reminding me. I'd forgotten when it started. Will try to catch the On Demand showing as well.
  19. Racism doesn't exist any more. Just ask the ACLU.
  20. Wow. That was awesome.
  21. Every time I see an FN 9 or 45, I get a little itchy. I love the look of them. Had an FNp9 for a while. Great pistol. Just a little too large in my hand. But that don't mean I don't lik'em.
  22. Actually, I like them. You might go a different direction with color, but those look pretty good to me.
  23. Never been in the business where I needed a large set of tools personally, but from my days in part sales to dealerships and body shops, I can say that Mac stands out in most shops. Snap-On has the big name and rep, but I knew quite a few guys wrenching that much preferred Mac.
  24. Link no work.
