  1. Justified is pretty good. A little warped...but what interesting show isn't. And IMO, if you could stomach the last two seasons of 24, this should hold your attention. What's not to like about a US Marshall that grew up in the Kentucky coal country that drives a big black Lincoln TownCar and is a super fast-draw with a variety of handguns?
  2. Yes, this will be the second season. My wife and I watched the first season and have been catching up with the dvd set, getting prepared for the second seeason premiere Wednesday night. Hope this is as good as the first.
  3. Now that's traffic enforcement!
  4. I'm still learning about 1911's. Is that round count normal for other makes? Or just for the Kimbers? I haven't experienced that with any of my others. Colt Officers Model/ Sprinfield Operator/ and Taurus. I even have an old Auto Ordnance from around 1975/76. Unknown round count, but it is possiblly in need of new springs and bushing.
  5. Glad there's no known video of me at that time period.

    Handgun ownership

    Really blows. Don't it?
  7. That's cold, man.

    Colt WTF?

That wouldn't take too much effort to be better than the Double Eagle.

    Colt WTF?

I still think it's awesome looking. Maybe a little strange as well. But hey....what's not anymore?
  10. My first was a G22. Then a G30. Now a G19. What's next? Will I start selling everything else off?.......NaaaHHH! Keep'em all!!!
  11. I think I know that truck.
  12. Just recently purchased a Pro Carry II and took it out yesterday. Having heard the stories on Kimber mags, I bought some Wilson Combat 47D mags. I ran about 100 rounds thru 2 Kimber and 2 Wilson mags. Didn't really have any issues with either, but that's just short term. I marked each mag and will watch the performance in future sessions. As far as the Kimber, shot well and was pretty accurate. Had one FTE with it. Took it back to John Wall at Eastside, where John pulled the extractor and cleaned and filed just a hair off. I'll take it back to the range next week and try it again. I'd sure like to check out a 9mm in the 1911 platform though. With my limited experiences with Kimbers, I couldn't say much more than I like it so far.
  13. Good articel. It would seem to validate my use of fmj rather than hp in pocket pistols like the Keltecs and LCPs. I've liked the Privy Partisan 380 for quite some time. It's a somewhat hot load 380 and functions well in both of mine. JMHO.
  14. I was there and would say that you are looking for Specialty Arms out of Lavergne.
  15. Ditto. I have several 1911s, but I still like my G30--good for carry, good bedside, and still works for fun range time.
  16. I will remember you and your familyin my prayers. God Bless.
  17. Rumors are still flying about this. The latest I've heard is that Keltec has recalled all the initial shipments. Don't know if that's true or not, but that was info given from several local dealers last week.
  18. I own pt140/145/and a pt111. Like all three, but the 111 has the longest and in my opinion, worst trigger of the three. I owned a PF9 for a short while. Hated the trigger, the recoil and the gun in general. Sold it as soon as I possibly could. I have found the 140 to have the snappiest recoild ot the PT series and the 145 to be as pleasant shooting and as accurate as my Glock 30. Yes the 145 is a little thicker than the PF9, but I didn't find it too awkward or too heavy for my taste. I've had no problems with any Taurus I've owned so I can't comment on the service issue. I fully realize that not everone appreciates or feels the way I do about Taurus, but I've found mine to be very safe and dependable weapons. Also have had several revolvers and still have a model 85 and a Tracker in 44 mag. No issues with them either. Personally, I'd take the 145 over the Pf9 and be very happy. If you're looking for a smaller Taurus 9mm, check out the 709 series, I haven't owned one, but have heard many good reviews on them. Check out Taurus Armed.net for more and better information on all these.

    If you had...

Ding!! Ding!! Ding!!! Lots of good to really great 1911's out there. I've had 2 Springfields and love'em. But that's my opinion.
  20. Well said. I''ve long thought that a large portion of the issues plauging the Titans stemmed from Mr. Adams. But that's just my my opinion and only time and the next season will tell us the awnsers.
  21. Having never smoked, I can't relate any good stories or tell you how hard it was for me. All I can do is say stay with it. I believe the short term agony with be worth the long term benefits. As you said, just think of the savings and extra cash you'll have for "other" purchases. Like that Jericho kit!
  22. Clean and inspect it. Shoot it. Clean and inspect. Repeat. I believe that could be considered a "break-in." Sorry. Don't mean to come across as a wiseass, but in simpliest terms, that's really it. Just keep it clean and maintained and be observant. And one more thing...enjoy yourself.
  23. That's exactly what my wife said when she heard the report.
  24. Wonderful!! Gotta be the best of the day!
