  1. You are not alone. I was going to ask that myself, but you beat me to it.
  2. Late chime in...but I vote for the Rock Island as well. I have several now, and have had others in the past. Have to say the 1911 9mm is my favorite, but the 45 is pretty great as well. Don't think you can go wrong with a Rock. First impressions on the Tisas is that it might actually be better than the Rock. Very tight gun. No shakes, rattles, or rolls. lol! Fit and finish on the Tisas is unbelievable. It's as tight as any 1911 I've laid my hands on. Granted that's not up to the number of you more experienced guys, but I think it would be a good choice. Xsubsailor mentioned a 9mm version. I haven't seen one, but sure would be interested. lol
  3. Yes. I have an older RCS(?) RSC. Can't remember the designation of the model. It's quite a good shooter.
  4. People have been reluctant to try the Canik line for quite a while, but most are like you. A few rounds and are not only impressed, but in love with them. Awesome pistols!! Jmo
  5. Personally...I think the best answer for me is this. Darn near all of them!
  6. I like the looks of that little Sig beside your favorite.
  7. Got several Smith 22s. They are just plain fun! And accurate too!
  8. No...it really is that small. Explorer sized vehicle.
  9. First thought...disgruntled customer. I'm told by a friend that these are painful. Secondly, the news people must make it sound like a once-in-a-lifetime event that just cannot be explained. Sadly it is not that. As monkeylizard says, shootings like this are getting to be all too frequent. No matter the reason for it, thugs, individuals, or even unhappy family members are resorting to violence these days. There seems to be no common sense in the actions of many today. There is no fear of penalty from the law it seems. Yes I know this individual paid heavily for his actions, but probably thought he'd get away with it.
  10. Sorry you had to go thru this, very sorry. Having endured spinal problems for many years, mostly arthritis from age and injuries; I can sympathasize with you. I'm not comparing pains, I think neck would be the worst. I complain when I sleep in a bad position and get cricks in the neck. Can't imagine, and don't want to know yours. Prayers buddy for easing of the pain, and recovery.
  11. You consider that weird? Should have seen on some of my morning after wakeups.
  12. Some really weird prop guys they had. I always liked the show. David/Illya was my favorite. Robert Vaughn stunk. LOL! Never have cared for him.
  13. Retirement is tranquility??? Are you married?
  14. Yep. When your musical favorites are used as soundtracks for commercials and elevator music...you are old.
  15. My late brother-in-law had several that he picked up while traveling in Germany. Swore they were great knives. I often asked for one...nope.
  16. Well bless your little heart.
  17. Wasn't Dusty a buddy of Steelharp's? Seems I remember that. Regardless, I loved ZZTop. Always great driving music. Went over my wife's head. Beer Drinkers and Hellraisers Forever! You will be missed Dusty.
  18. Was getting a cleaning at my dentist when the ad was mentioned. I bit my tongue when asked about how I felt on the vaccine/Covid things. I did tell her I believed in the virus, but not in all of the things we are being told about it from the media and the politicians. She laughed and sort of agreed.
  19. Don't have the Copper Plated, but do have the other three. Thought of someday having a wall display made for his Winchester and place them in it.
  20. Listening this afternoon and Pamela(? I think) said Phil had voluntarily requested to be placed on a ventilator. Prayers for Uncle Phil.
  21. My dad used them in his matches. I still have a couple of boxes. They aren't in great shape, but just a little nostalgia.
  22. You got a great pistol. Don't know what you have in it, but if you don't want it...talk to me. I have several Caniks and am quite pleased with them.
  23. Then I must apologize for all the other things you are seeing. I have difficulty maintaining a rational and peaceful mind. Lots of things flow thru largely uninvited.
  24. Thanks for the info. I might try to make this one. Got a couple to walk around for a bit.
  25. Buddy, I've got to get with you soon. I apologize for not doing it sooner, but there's been a lot going on in the family and on the homestead recently.
