  1. Thanks Suntzu. This has hit me pretty hard. I did get to speak with him last night for about 20 minutes. It was good talking to him and I held it together until he said "Be a good Dad and teach him (my son) the things I cant". Let the tears flow..... Fair Winds and Following Sea's Dave and I'll see you at Ft Rosecrans National Cemetery in Full Dress Blues.....
  2. The Kaman K-MAX Crap, I seemed to have lost my mind today. I finally get a video to post now I keep messing up the pictures. http://s290.photobucket.com/albums/ll253/buck1032/TGO/
  3. This song keeps popping in my head. Mainly because my very good friend and name sake of my son is lying in Balbao Naval Hospital in his last days of terminal cancer. He has fought it for the past 5 months and I am afraid his end is near and it brings tears to my eyes every single day knowing I will never see him alive again. Dave, you are are a dang fine man, the best of friends and were an awesome CPO. I love you brother!
  4. The H-3 airframe is a good aircraft. I cant tell from the pictures if it's a wet head with Biflars or not. Once the rotor head was upgraded it became a smooth helo. I will dig around and post a cool looking helo that was being tested to replace the Navy's CH-46 as the VertRep helo. It was a very interesting design.
  5. That is straight up 1911 porn, and very nice looking porn it is.
  6. LOL. While not nearly as big, watching the old A-3 recover was entertaining and sometimes down right scary.
  7. Rather sad and a bit alarming. Do you know what time of day it happened? Back in 89/90 time frame I was in San Diego on my 2nd tour in the Navy. My LPO (Leading Petty Officer) came to work looking like he had seen a ghost. Artie is a Filipino and they dont usually look white as a sheet. I asked him what was wrong, and he said some one was "shooting at me on my way into work". Yea, right. I threw the BS flag and then he took me out to his car. Sure enough he had three bullet holes trailing from the passanger door to the trunk. Now Artie lived in a good 'hood but had to drive through the barrio. Needless to say he changed his route to work.
  8. Yea, right. Its your lie tell it any way you want. LOL Welcome to TGO, John. I have spent enough time in Hong Kong before and after the change over, to know i never want to go back. Good luck over.
  9. Belay my last.... As usual I screwed up. LOL I posted this on the wrong dand forum. Sorry if I confused anyone.
  10. Epic fail in the real world, I would think. I am not, nor have I ever been in an MC but I do know a few things. Those patches are Club property and he stole them. Which wouldnt be taken lightly....
  11. from Burn Notice. Well I have tried using the search engine on here and couldnt find the thread. If my mind isnt completly gone, I seem to remember someone asked about that roll up cleaning kit. I didnt see the show, but I got a Sportsman Guide in the mail the other day and they had this one in there; Roll - Up Cleaning Kit, Shooting Supplies, Ps Products at Sportsman's Guide Maybe thats what it looked like?
  12. TDR, Mighty nice of you to offer that up. Too bad we have already gotten our sons new bed two months ago.
  13. Naaaa. Not worth it to me, as I watch maybe three or four hours of TV a week (not including Vols football of course).
  14. No kidding!!! Cheese and Freaking Rice!!! They could have played it in an hour with the usual run of commercials.
  15. I swing by there tomorrow and if I cant bug Warren I will prod Keith into to bugging him to death about it. LOL
  16. Here in Cleveland, there is a decent little shop on the South end of town. I have been in there a few times and they seem nice enough. The owner is former Army WO and one of the sales guy is former Marine that I deployed with back in 87. I havent bought, or even price thier firearms, but I have stopped in on occasion to pick up cleaning supplies or other misc. stuff. I could swing by there tomorrow if you would like. 17. All kinetic pullers are pretty much the same. I have the RCBS, like the one you posted, and have used it for over 20 years and it still works as advertised. The vise and pliers method will pretty much render the brass and bullet unusable. Sort of defeats the purpose of pulling the bullet.
  18. I saw a commercial during a game today that Outback is offering a free meal to service members and Vets. Something I might have to look into.
  19. When you get back and settled, let me know and I will post bulgogi/kal-bi, chapchea and mandu recipes. I too missed the food, so I started cooking it myself. The wife doesnt like kimchee so she wont let me make my own, so I have to buy it. LOL
