  1. Thanks, Spots. Yes we run full kit on these type of drills. Probably be closer to 10 yards, maybe 5 during barricade or barrel drills.
  2. Looking at developing a new training load for shooting steel within 5 yards without dimpling. Informal testing of rem, black hills and a few other commercial frangible rounds on 1/2 inch ar500 show some dimpling within 50 yards. Looking at using barnes 50 gr varmint grenades and going to try and push them as slow as they will cycle reliably. Powders available are 846, 844, varget, tac, 2230, 748, reloader 10, imr 4895. As of now I am looking at starting with varget, though I would like to use 844 because I have a little bit more of it. Suggestions or cautions appreciated.
  3. The sear itself has the serial number on it in most cases.  In some cases depending on who did the conversion you have to remove the sear to actually see the serial number.  Some owners that have multiple registered sears will engrave the serial number on each of the "packs" for ID purposes.  On a HK registered sear, the sear must have number on it.
  4. Just needs a couple flechettes and it will be complete
  5. Think of how many bipod / vertical grip / Optic combinations you could have in your tacical toolbox.
  6. I hope this hasn't been posted yet. I really hope this is an old april fools joke http://www.armaster.com/htm/stock_pivot_adaptorSPA1.htm
  7. I remember at knob creek when i could buy surplus ball for .85 a rnd and APIT $1.35 a rnd.
  8. and....only 3 of them are living?  I could still pass a combat standards, but when you start adding break dancing and cartwheels and crazy...I fail miserably.
  9. I have to check inventory first, you are the only vendor I've bought from the last  10 shows that I have attended. :)   Forgot that I bought 2 slings from Knoxville tactical about 5 shows ago.
  10. They have courses available, maybe we can get a TGO group rate :)   http://www.americandefenseenterprises.com/classes.htm
  11. Best i can do is $0.18 per rnd This doesnt include case lube, tumbling media, or electricity.
  12. What are the chances of making these two separate forums?
  13. If he asks for mine, I'm really going to look like a nut job when I ask him if he wants all 3 of them? Really "funny" when I hand over my suppressed .45 :stunned:
  14. Right look like core-lokt, left looks like same tip on some .30 cal Remington bulk projectile I bought few years ago Pull one and cut it or send pic to remmy.
  15. Ah...the mythical unicorn they call "Unique" has presented its self again.
  16. You should never print the gun already loaded, especially with a full mag. I thought everyone knew that.
  17. I put them on my blacklist many moons ago. One of my friends had stuff on order with them and was cancelled due to "out of stock" then next day was in stock at panic pricing. Screw'em
  18. May have been posted, another reminder about safe handling. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/23/students-shot-safety-demonstration_n_4152018.html
  19. I know this has been covered before, but I just wanted to say thanks again for your continued support to handloaders and fellow shooters. I was at the Knoxville show this Sat. and just picked up a couple handtrucks of goodies from David (dlm37015).  I was at knoxville tactical across from him and heard him talking to a new handloader who was looking to buy bulk 223 projos.  The kid looked and sounded as confused as I did 20 years ago buying my first HUGE lot of 500 projos. Even though there were people all around he took the time to get the kid what he wanted.  David has been a great advisor for me, from powders to cement mixers for tumblers :)  If you are looking for any amount of components I would encourage everyone to give him a call first, he will always be my first call.   Thanks again
  20. I ran accros this type of crimp / stake about 4 yrs ago for the first time.  I don't recall it being Lake City though, it swaged out like standard crimp
  21. I got the same one about a year ago, it's been a great range jacket.  I had dry cleaners treat it with some waterproofing stuff, water beads off much better.
