1. I don't trust the gov't explicitly either, but I blame the media for the majority of the conspiracy theorists beliefs. In a rush to be the first to release "facts", they said all kinds of stupid things. People hear this crap on TV and run with it, then when more crap comes out, it gets stirred into the mix. When the earlies official statements come out and they contradicts any of the media's crap, it's suddenly viewed as cover-up and conspiracy. These early statements are rushed, because they "have to tell the public something" and they aren't always accurate. So, by the time a full investigation is finished, the loonies feel like the last set of facts are lies, since they don't mesh with the early "evidence" they heard. I can't believe there's not a national shortage of tinfoil every time something this bad happens.
2.   I'm sure Marty felt threatened, but he was jaywalking and impeding the flow of traffic. Since I didn't see any Skittle or Watermelon Iced Tea, I'm betting he's probably one of those "Occupy Snowmobile Path" protestors I've been hearing about.
3.   If I were a quality magazine manufacturer, who also wants to make my products affordable, I would know what the optimal tolerance range is for my springs. Let's say that to get acceptible pressure against the follower and still come in under cost, the spring I use has to be 7" or more in length. I would also know that after reasonable use the quality of the spring I use in my magazines may compress by 1". Therefore, I would use springs with an initial length greater than 8" to ensure that after initial settling my spring was still longer than 7".
4. I'm sure somebody is worried sick. Bless you for taking such good care of him until you find his home.
5. Sure this generation has some issues, but I grew up with some scumbags too and that was way longer ago than I care to admit. Maybe they didn't dress as strange as some kids do today, but they weren't any less cruel. At least that's how I remember it.
6. I've always felt paranoid when showering, even behind 3 locked doors. Now I have an even better reason to be paranoid.
7. That was truly awesome and such a great idea.
8. Hate to hear that. He was a young man too. He'll be missed.
9. Dang, you guys are harsh. It sounds like I have to be an unarmed moose expert, willing to risk being killed or injured by a wild animal in lieu of harming it, in order to go snowmobiling with you guys.
10. You're seeing keyhole like holes in the target?
11. It's steel cased, but I've shot a bunch of it before and had no issues.
12. Just checked out using promo code 24FLAT and it came to $293 shipped for 1,000 rounds. It appears to also be packaged in 2 plastic dry boxes. Hope anyone interested gets in before it's gone.
13. Come on, people. You left out the BEST rootin tootin gun slinger of them all...Yosemite Sam
14. I love me a good body armor thread. Lots of great ideas...just ordered 2 trauma plates and 2 princess backpacks from Amazon...one for the front one for the back. I sure do wish they had some molle on them, so I could mount my Battle Mug
15.
Capes are lame. Make mine a cloak please. With built in retractable sash and a badge the size of a dinner plate, that way it can double as body armor.
When I close my eyes and try to imagine you wearing a dinner plate sized HCP badge, this it the image I come up with:
16.
Good point, I guess puter databases can probably make allowances to handle it okay. - OS
You'd be surprised how much us database admins fight with developers over this crap at work. It's hilarious, actually. Luckily, since we don't tell them how to write code, they don't tell us how to architect the database. We store all dates in GMT and they look up the customer's offset (an integer) to convert the time to local time. That way instead of it always being 5:00 somewhere, it's 5:00 everywhere at the same time, LOL.
17. you'd have to be a stupid S.O.B. to try and put a wood block in a live trapped coyote's mouth   I bet the first man who ever tries will earn a new nickname...Stumpy
18. I keep a can of Kroil around all the time, but I don't use it as a lubricant. Like y'all said, it's too thin to do much good as a lubricant. I do use it on the inside of my barrels as treatment, for lack of a better term. I apply it with a patch and a jag at the end of my cleaning regiment and just leave it on. It seems to penetrate and protect, but I can't swear to it.
19. I REALLY like that answer! In my book, the people who risk their lives to serve their country or community are heroes, not those who play a game.
20. I'm no revolver expert, but it'd seem to me like the trigger, pawl, and cylinder latch do the same thing on every trigger pull. Do you think it's possible that one of the cylinder indentions is damaged, causing the latch at the bottom to hang up or maybe the ratchet has damage and the pawl is hanging up when it tries to turn the cylinder?
21.
Obviously, your pocket has to be wide enough for your hand to get in there and grab the heater in the first place. Tight jeans generally don't work too well. - OS
Yeah, those fellers with the skinny jeans are S.O.L.
22. I have a pristine 91/30 that I don't shoot and cheap Chinese Type 53 that I stripped and refinished. I shoot it quite often. It's a lot of fun.
23.   Laid off UAW worker?
24.
Thanks, guys. Trigger pull is long. But it is smooth. Smoother than my M&P was.
I have mostly SA/DA pistols, so I can deal with long trigger pulls as long as they're smooth. It's triggers where the resistance stacks up as you get close to the break that I don't like.
25. They pass these stupid ammendments to make themselves feel like they're making a difference, but they're only making it worse.   UGH!!! I'm so frustrated.    What is it that they don't get? The people they need to worry about aren't gonna follow the damn laws.
