Me neither, but Orkin's website says there are 200 species of Wolf Spider in the Northern Hemisphere. So, I'm assuming they don't all have that look you described that is most familiar to us.
-
Looks like a wolf spider to me too. They are good spiders to keep around, since their food supply is also your enemy, LOL. If there's any reason to NOT kill a wolf spider, this is it: My wife thinks all spiders are man-eating monsters sent to wipe out the human race.

Good eye. I'm pretty sure he got his rail from eBay and the nut came with it.

Oh, that's nothing, I can conceal a Mosin 91/30 with bayonet extended. amen! I'll just stick to my Kel-Tec in the summer.

While it's hard to beat Kydex or other plastics for snug/tight retention, they're just ugly and they dig into my side/hip. I've gotten to where the only time I carry a Kydex OWB is when I'm taking a class or when I used to go to matches. Leather pancake holsters are so comfy I forget they're there half the time. Plus, I think they are handsome looking rigs.

PackinMama hit the nail on the head. It's all about body shape. A spare tire that goes around to the sides will push the grip of the gun out making it nearly impossible to conceal unless it rides really low. Luckily, you can set most IWB hybrid holsters to ride just at the waistband, which allows the grip to be below your spare tire. This way it's nearly impossible to tell I'm packing. Having that figured out, my problem lies elsewhere. I have a pancake flat backside (imagine trying to cinch a pair of pants tight enough halfway up the outside of a funnel). I can tighten a belt til I can't feel my toes, but every 15 steps I'm tugging my pants back up. I'm about to give up and start wearing suspenders.

I didn't even think of suggesting lapping. He already ordered the shims before he told me.

That's damn fine work as usual. Love the Cerakote.

I loaned a co-worker my receiver blocks and AR tool to install his new handguard. When he hit 30 ft-lbs the top gas tube hole was just a mm post top dead center, so he tried for the next hole. At 60 ft-lbs he was still half way away from the next hole. He realized he'd need to order some shims, so he tried to unscrew it. This is what happened: We estimate that unscrewing the nut probably out about 80-85 ft-lbs of torque on the holes. Needless to say, a valuable leason was learned.

That won't last past 9 am, LOL. Heckuva price.

I'd get some adrenaline just walking some of that trail (if you can call it a trail). Beautiful music and scenery too.

I find the anti-Obama jokes funny as hell. In my circle of friends quips like these come up every day, so it hits close to home for me. At least they aren't as mean-spirited as the anti-Bush jokes were.

Sadly, I'll have to do that next Saturday. This weekend was too busy. I'm looking forward to sighting it in.

The new Aimpoint T1 replacement from Primary Arms???

That's a damn impressive battery life for a CR2032! I'd love to have something this light on mine. Thanks for posting. -
I've seen holsters with a cutout in the front for faster draws. What purpose does the side cutout serve? Weight reduction? I like the tan color, BTW. Looks nice.

After all that, I didn't even get to shoot it today. And to add insult to injury, the reason was that my wife dragged me to freakin Walmart. It was too late by the time I got home.

I decided to go with the Kineti-Tech because it's like getting 2 muzzle devices in one. Like this, it's a standard muzzle break: Like this, it's a linear compensator: Plus, I think I think it looks completely bada$$ with this long rail:
-
I didn't like paying $6 for a no-name crush washer when they are < $3 from Bravo Company, but being impatient has a price.
-
Yeah, I needed one because the muzzle device I picked is a 2 piece. With the shroud on it acts like a linear compensator. When it's off, it acts like a muzzle break. Without a crush washer the muzzle break was mis-timed by about 45 degrees past side-to-side. I'm about to post pics on the other thread in a few minutes. www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/81877-ar-muzzle-devicesgot-input/

I've had decent luck with this stuff out of my Saiga 7.62. It's pretty cheap too. I read a lot of reviews before I bought some and it's not match grade, but it shoots minute of my ability. http://www.sgammo.com/product/golden-tiger/1000-round-case-762x39-fmj-bt-golden-tiger-124-grain-russian-ammo-limit-2-custo

I lost 2 or 3 knives when I was a kid that I wish I had back. Had an ex that threw one out the car window during an argument once. Otherwise, I can account for the rest. I'm really OCD about my tools though, I'm scared to lay one down out of fear I'll forget where I laid it down. My wife laughs at me, because I'll be cutting cardboard to fit in the dumpster and open my knife, makes some cuts, fold and put it away, then open and use it again over and over again...just the way I'm wired I guess.
-
Hot Damn!! Just found one at OnTarget in M'boro! $5...and I was heading that way to pickup some other things anyway.
-
Awesome, that's right over by my work too. Thanks Luke. I know this sounds juvenile, but I've been collecting parts for this build for a couple of months now and having to wait another week to shoot it over a damn $4 part is making me crazy! I want to shoot it NOW!! LOL

Not many seem to have a gunsmith in the shop nowadays, but that's a good idea. I may have to resort to calling around tomorrow morning to see if any have one. That doesn't seem like the kind of part that would be hanging on a display rack in the store somewhere.
