  1. I use this, but they have other products. Just keep it off your skin. https://sawyer.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/SP657-1024x1024.jpg Https://sawyer.com/
  2. I used to cover myself in OFF to avoid ticks, but how much better is poisoning yourself slowly than a chance tick bite. We use Sawyer's now to treat our clothes and it's worked pretty good so far.
  3. I'm guessing some sort of hearing test for the babies. Doesn't look like any type of bulb in that device.
  4. For the price of buying a new car, 2.8L turbo diesel swap into the Cherokee. :) But realistically the new Outback would be a good choice. I've been researching the 2.5L for our next car.
  5. I've been a member out there for about 3yrs. I'm usually on the rifle range on a random weekend.
  6. That's where I got mine. The prices seemed fair and the delivery was fast (damn near beat me to my house) and reasonable.
  7. Since you're close enough, head into Memphis and go to Town & Country locksmith on Summer Ave. They have a lot of Liberty, Cannon, and another brand that I can't remember right now in the store that you can check out and get a true feel for the size. They deliver too, but that might be outside their travel radius.
  8. Unless you have somebody to help you that's worked on diffs before , I would let a mechanic tackle it. While it looks like a simple pull and swap, you may need to shim and clock it.
  9. Congratulations! When my wife told me she was pregnant, I told her if it's a boy I get a gun, and if it's a girl I get a bigger gun.
  10. Not sure if they fixed it in newer 3.8L, but some older JKS had a sepage issue due to the aluminum they used for the timing cover being too porous. He could have very well filled it properly and now it's low. There was a TSB about it. http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-tsb-recalls/tsb-38l-engine-oil-seepage-due-to-front-timing-cover-surface-porosity
  11. Get a spray that is formulated for woody vines
  12. Comptac or Alien Gear. I like the Comptac a little more since there is a little less leather, but it also cost 2x as much as the Alien Gear. For $35, the Alien Gear is very comfortable and seems decently built. They also have a lifetime shell swap if you ever get a different pistol.
  13. Chance is the dealer for the class 3 stuff. I believe the inventory is towards the back of the store
  14. Call Chance at Classic Arms in Cordova and see what he has in inventory. He's good people.
  15. For anybody looking for a g-shock, Macy's looks like they have a good selection and are having a 25% off sale until May 4th I think. Gshock is not on the excluded list so the discount applies.
  16. Having shot both in a 16in barrel, there was minimal difference felt, possibly due to flash/comp. There are several threads about taking whitetail and hogs with 300blk on the blackout forum. Not sure of the barrel lengths. Pretty sure I saw some sbr's suppressed.
  17. Cheapest factory ammo right now is Remington 120 gr UMC, I think
  18. I have a buddy that sent his back for a loose turret and they got his repaired and back to him within about 2 weeks, including shopping time. No problems or issues. I sent mine in after it developed a haze. I thought that perhaps it had developed a leak and moisture had gotten in. They returned it to me with a note stating the lens were cleaned and that a haze is common at higher magnification. While I've seen cheaper scopes lose clarity over time, I was a little surprised they went with the easy out, considering these are supposed to be a decent quality optic. Hopefully you get a good result with your warranty service.
  19. Which Seekins rail do you have? My MCRS went on so tight I could probably run it without the torx screws. The anti-rotation tabs hold it on tight. Is the barrel nut torqued sufficiently? The nut should have a series of holes that line up for the gas tube once it's torqued close to spec.
  20. I know you're not really leaning towards Leupold, but the Mark AR 3-9x40 can be found for about $350.  Its been a very nice scope on mine.  Super clear and sufficient magnification
  21. If you go out there and tell them you are considering joining the club, they will take you around for a tour of the place so you can see everything.  While the initiation fee is a little steep, there aren't really any other options out this way so they can kinda charge what they want.  I'm sure it helps them be more selective in who joins also without outright saying it.  While they have various ranges out there, you don't get immediate access to all areas.  In order to shoot past 100yds, you have to qualify at 200 & 300, then again if you want to move out to the 600.  I can't remember exactly, but I think the cowboy action area is an invite/special member area.  Aside from the occasional stubborn guy that doesn't want to get off the line so it can be called cold, its not a bad range.  Oh and one other thing, if the Loosahachie ever floods, the club shuts down for a while.
  22. Their Beef Stew was surprisingly pretty good.  It may take a little more water than what they recommend and it was a little on the salty side, but if you cut it with added veg or rice it would be fine.
  23. Best price I was able to find when I bought my 6 was from The Knife Connection.
  24. We don't have any kids yet and quite frankly the way things seem to be headed, I'm not sure its the best idea right now, but watching stuff like this and reading other articles about revisionist history make me want to find some of the old textbooks we had growing up and stow them away in case we do end up having kids.  They may not have been the best either, but they were damn better than what they seem to be trying to teach kids now.
