  1. Well for reference, Primary Arms put them on sale today for $180 for the short action stock.
  2. Keep an eye on the Primary Arms website. The Magpul Hunter 700 goes on sale periodically. My buddy and I both picked up one with magwell and sling mounts during one of the sales. Total price for everything was only about $10 more than the everyday price for the stock. It did seem to tighten up everything a little on my 700 sps tactical. As for the Vortex, I guess I am one of the few that hasn't been thrilled with my Viper, at least not the warranty. Initially it was awesome, great clarity, performed as expected and was a great price. After a particularlly cold hunt it developed a haze on the outer edge at the higher magnifications. Sent it back to Vortex with description of issue and included pics just to be sure. When I got it back, the invoice stated all they did was cleaned the lens and that the haze was normal as scopes age (3yrs old). I guess I could have gotten a lazy tech working on my scope but I wasn't that impressed. I may try sending it back one more time just to see. Or I could do what my buddy suggested and drive over it with my jeep and then send it back lol.

Except that Vice "President" is misspelled, so.... Then again, it is a porn site.
  4. I'll see your squirrels (little rat bastards) and raise you a young doe and 2 box turtles. Getting about too damn hot to sit out here for something else to maybe come along.
  5. It's keymod instead of mlok, but a couple of buddies have this Seekins. They say it's fairly light. If you watch the site, it goes on sale occasionally. http://www.primaryarms.com/sppakm15/p/sppakm15/
  6. Technically true, but the coral is identified as poisonous by the color pattern not the eyes. And there's no way that snake could be mistaken for a coral.
  7. Round pupils, so it's not venomous. Kinda looks like a Northern Water Snake, but it could be something else.
  8. Put a life-like rubber snake on you window ledge. Might want to tie some string to it in case one gets brave and tries to carry it off. Or get a thin strip of wood and some brads/nails and make on of those repellent strips that keeps the bird from landing on the ledge.
  9. Well, Burgess Falls trails are all shut down for repairs so you can't get to any of the good stuff. Looks like Cummins Falls and Rock Island it is and anything cool in between.
  10. Towards the bottom of their list of rules at the entrance it says no firearms, but I haven't seen an actual gun buster sign if memory serves.
  11. Fall Creek Falls is on the list to check out. This will be our first year hiking with a little one in tow so we will probably have to change the types of trails we're used to doing.
  12. The wife and I have been thinking about heading out East to do some hiking and check out some waterfalls. We're thinking we'll stay in Cookeville since it's close to Burgess Falls and a couple of the other ones we want to check out. Are there any areas we need to avoid in Cookeville? We've only passed thru and never really stopped for any length of time to get a feel for the area. Anything else worth seeing since we'll be there 2-3 days?
  13. I don't recall if they are posted, it's been a while since i've been there, but most restaurants and bars downtown are posted.
  14. I put a drop of blue loctite on my ring screws to assemble them once I got the relief correct. The mounting screws are large enough that I can get enough torque that I don't feel I need it. If you use loctite, just make sure you use the right one. I believe red requires heat to remove, so you don't want that.
  15. Live science has an article on it. Says in optimal conditions it can produce a half liter per hour, so essentially an average water bottle's worth. Aside from the cost, it seems like a plausible backup during a Southern summer.
  16. HSGI riggers belt with a cobra buckle to make things easy.
  17. I have a couple of buddies that have used the Magpul BEV and have been happy with it. One preferred it over the clamp style since it won't scratch the exterior.
  18. Depending on the test results, you may want to look into acupuncture to supplement the treatment. We've used it for our beagle that has cancer and know a few other folks who have done it with good results.
  19. I've never bought from this place, but I've looked at several of their products when debating on surveillance hardware. This one just plugs into the OBDII port. http://www.brickhousesecurity.com/product/mobile/trackport+gps+tracker.do?sortby=ourPicks
  20. Did they check him for diabetes or congestive heart failure?
  21. If your kids are young enough and plan to hunt regularly when they get older, it may well be worth it to get them the lifetime licenses. If they are just going to fish there's no point.
  22. I think it's a basic feature on a lot of phones that you can access from your service providers website. Just need some basic info, but the location does probably need to be turned on.
  23. Would it be easier to use the find "find my phone" function on her cell phone? Then you can pull up a real time map.
