  1. Nice 21! Thought about one but decided to keep mag and caliber consistent with my 35 despite loving .45, but I do need a IWB holster for the 22 so I can make it my winter carry instead of my 19.
  2. Got a new Glock 22gen4 FDE today! Been wanting one for awhile and finally got the authorization from the boss lady. Of course it came with three military style assault clips, lol. Sorry if pic is upside down it always does it on my iPad despite editing.
  3. My first AK variant, AMD 65. Got me hooked on AKs, just got a M92 pistol and plan on sbr-ing both. Will post pics of the M92 when I get them.
  4. Normally I don't care for grey cerakote jobs but I really like that color. Disruptive grey. Wonder what grey is close to that that is available from duracoat.
  5. Same brake as my amd-65. My AMD is painfully loud but may have more to do with the weapon not the brake, I don't know enough about AKs to say. My AMD is in show and tell section. I think our builds will be similar as I'm going with od and black theme with mid west industries extended ss rail. Really want to sbr mine real bad right now but have to convince the wife that its worth $200.
  6. Thanks guys exactly what I was looking for.
  7. Yes it has a tiny tack weld holding it on. Just have to grind the tack weld then It screws off. Of course got to do all the paperwork to make it legal.
  8. Yes it retains the Hungarian 12.5" barrel and receiver. Just have to remove the tapco barrel extension and brake.
  9. Here is my first AK style rifle. Started life as a standard TGI AMD65 from Buds ($439 at the time) but I don't have any pics from when I first got it. So far I put a Krebs stock adapter, Ace 7.5" folding stock, Hogue front handguard, and Hogue pistol grip. Plans are to switch to MI extended rail and a Magpul hand stop kit, more mags, and eventually an Aimpoint (still debating optic). Might SBR it down the road since it has a 12.5" barrel. I was an AR guy but this thing is winning me over. Let me know what you think.
  10. Ok so I have an TGI AMD 65 with a welded tapco brake and extension that makes my length legal. I want to add a 4 piece krink style brake that from what I have read (but may be wrong) is 3.25". My barrel length is 12.5" if I take the tapco brake and extension off. So adding the 3.25" brake to the 12.5" barrel puts me at 15.75". How can I come up with that little extra to make it legal? Don't really want to sbr for .25 inches.
  11. Ok so here goes. I am saving for my next Glock but not sure which one. It will either be a 17 gen4 or a 23 gen4. I currently have a 19 gen 4 and a 35 gen3. Part of me says go with the 17 because it's in-between the two I have now as far as size goes. But I really like the size of the 23/19 and I have holsters in that size already. Is it crazy to have two of the same size Glocks, should I go with the 17. As far as which round I prefer it's really a wash for me although 9mm recoil would be fun in the fullsize. I know people will say get both but which first. What say the masses?
  12. Very cool. My first gun was a Stevens side by side .410 that my dad got when he was 16 and gave to me when I turned 16. Will never sell it for sure.
  13. I want it! Looks like one could grip really high which I like.
  14. It reminds me of when I was down range after a while and the new guys would show up. We had dumped all the useless junk that we were issued but they would still have every pouch imaginable and then some they bought personally. They didn't realize after 15 months you want a lighter load out not more gear.
  15. I would go with one of the shotguns mentioned. It seems to be what you are lacking and fills many roles. My preference is the 870 over the 500 but that's just me. Try both because the safety is in totally different spots and you might have a preference. Both quality guns.

    Sig P290

I fondled one at a lgs and found that I liked it a lot. I thought the size was perfect but I like a little more girth in tiny guns. It still seemed comparable to a pm9 I use to own but the sig seemed more comfortable in MY hand. This sig seems to be one that most won't like but is perfect for some. Too bad I'm poor or I'd pick one up.
  17. I installed a Battle Arms Development - Ambi Safety Selector in fde on my M&P15t today. Wow I can't believe I waited this long being a lefty. Great product, finish matched magpul fde fairly well. If your a lefty this is a must have in my opinion. Very positive engagement and easy to install. Plus they sent me a free patch which is very cool.

    M&P15 Sport

What dolomite said. Use the extra money on quality glass or ammo. Contrary to my own advice I bought the tactical model because it said tactical so it is cooler by default.

    AR15 Barrel Install

I need that. Thats all I'm saying.
  20. Congrats on the rifle. I am a huge fan of the m&p rifles. As far as the optic goes I know nothing of the above brand but I always recommend trijicon acogs. I have one and love it. While deployed I used one and saw one fall off the top of an mrap and hit optic first with rifle attached and bounce. It still held zero and didnt even crack the glass which seems impossible to me. Yes they cost almost a grand but you will never be let down by one. Coyote hunting you might not need one but if you are going to bet your life on an optic trijicon is the way to go. I am not affiliated in any way with them but I have seen first hand their quality.
  21. Congrats. Looks good in basic form and in black. I went fde on my m&p15t accessories. Your rifle makes me question the 5 pounds of "tactical" add ons that I somehow "needed" at one time or another.
  22. I actually did use a factory glock (-) connector with same result. The thing is I run a ny1 with (-) connector in my duty gun so was trying to duplicate the pull on my off duty 19 but it failed to have the same result. The trigger pull is nothing like my 22 duty gun. The only difference I can think of is the 19 is a gen 4 and the 22 is a gen 3.
  23. I had this experience when I put in the glock - connector. Any idea why? Once I wipe it down it's great for about 30 pulls but then gets real heavy at the break.
