  1. I've had excellent results with my Primary Arms MD06 micro.
  2. My 5.56 SBR has a very similar look minus I don't have the sweet rail. Very fine looking weapon you got there.

    KAHR 45

I do agree that in the under $400 new category Kahr has some great offerings. I've never noticed the sharp edges on my cm9 I carry daily but maybe they are there. I find the recoil to be mild and I'm recoil sensitive on the pocket guns. The trigger I can understand why some love it and some hate it. I am in the middle as I think the pull is smooth and light but it could have a shorter reset. However given it replaced my revolver in my carry rotation the trigger seems exceptional. I love how thin they are and have been considering another. Plus I think they look good in two tone. I have found Kahrs to be very polarizing in conversations with my fellow gun nuts. Definitely a gun you have to try to see if it fits for you and your purposes.
  4. I thought I saw it there. That's where I got my SBR engraved. Congrats again.
  5. Wow I love the black one! I always wanted an MP5. Where did you get them engraved?
  6. There should be enough room. There was a discussion about it on some other forum and a guy posted a pic of his setup which was of the exact 11" rail, 11.5" barrel length, and suppressor. The way the YHM mounts the qd is just out far enough that the suppressor sits almost flush.
  7. Yup I was lucky. Wasn't expecting it back for a while after the error based on everyone else's experience. Imagine my surprise when I checked the mail.
  8. I got my error letter about 2 1/2 weeks ago on a Form 1 trust SBR and got my stamp yesterday. So hope is not all lost.
  9. I decided to go with the 11.5" barrel due to the research BCM did on SBR barrel lengths. Essentially they felt they were more reliable, but they go into more detail on their FAQs page. In addition I have heard that they decrease the chance of baffle strikes on suppressors which once mine is out of the penalty box I will be running one. Also some manufacturers won't warrant their suppressors on shorter barrels. I'm not saying 10.5" is unreliable but I just didn't want to take chances and BCMs research ability is better than mine. All that said I might build a 10.5" or shorter gun that won't be geared as a suppressor host.
  10. Got my stamp back today! 10.5 months and here she is: 11.5" Spikes FN barrel, Seekins lower, Aero Upper, Geissele SD-C trigger, Seekins Mag Release, Magpul MIAD, Magpul CTR, Trijicon SRS w/killflash, Magpul Pro BUIS, Troy VTAC rail, Surefire Scout Ultra Tan, YHM Phantom Suppressor mount, Battle Arms Ambi Safety, WMD Nickel Boron BCG, Syrac Adjustable gas block, soon to add Ambi mag release and enhanced bolt release. Cerakoted Magpul FDE.

    AK pic thread

Here is my only AK variant. Yugo M92 SBR. Only pic I have is an old cellphone pic. I am also waiting on Manticore to release their handguard.
  12. Glock 19 Gen4 with TLR-3 in Raven Concealment Holster IWB, Benchmade Auto Presidio black, Ares Ranger Belt Enhanced
  13. I prefer my CM9 for deep concealment. Anything bigger, like the Shield, then I prefer to just carry my G19. I don't know why but the Shield XDS size just doesn't do it for me. I'm sure I'm the minority though.
  14. I have ran a TLR-1 on my duty pistol for the past 3 years and love it. I run a TLR-1hl on one of my rifles and love it as well for CQB. However recently switched to a Surefire M600 scout ultra on my duty rifle. It gives me a little extra range that the pistol lights don't. However for pistols I will stick with Streamlight mainly because I have a lot of custom bolsters made for that specific light. Forgot to mention I run a TLR-3 on my EDC and it's ok but I prefer the TLR-1 for most pistols. I do think the TLR-3 weight is nice but I struggle to reach the activators where I can reach the TLR-1 fine. I wish they could get the TLR-3 to sit back closer to the trigger guard.
  15. I bought the Syrac Gen II but have not installed it yet. Fit and finish seems good and clicks are positive. I need a couple more so may check out the SLR one linked above.
  16. I really like the BHO Yugo mags. I imagine because I'm an AR guy and I am use to the bolt hold open feature.
  17. I've taken Gunsite 250 Pistol, 499 Pistol, and .223 Carbine. Did I pay for it, no, I was sponsored. However, the training is amazing and I think is worth the money. The thing I think is beneficial about the Gunsite group of instructors is that you know that you are getting a professional. I'm not saying that they are 100 percent correct about everything they teach, but you don't run the risk of some gun range commando that has no experience and just regurgitates info they read online. Plus they are more than open to discuss alternatives to what they are teaching and will offer real world knowledge to back up their personal choices. I could go on and on about the specific classes but won't. Could i afford it on my salary, no, but worth the cost yes. Bottom line is that the classes made me better and I have no doubt increased my survivability. If you can swing the cost of top tier training then go, if not find cheaper alternatives. Just keep striving to be better.
  18. Building ARs is addictive, so watch out. As soon as I finish one all I do is think about another build. I generally go for blem uppers/lowers as I always end up painting them myself with rattle can or having them cerakoted.
  19. With the detent kit from CNC the detent is super easy to install. The MI handguard and brake seem to add some weight so just be aware of that.
  20. I got one that is now a SBR. It's incredibly fun to shoot but definitely jumpy. I run CNC Warriors 4pc brake which really helped with the blast but adds some length.
  21. I like them. They are easily adjusted without tools. Good spring tension up and down to keep from moving on their own, however can be accidentally knocked down by gear etc. if enough force is applied. If I didn't have a rock solid optic I would probably go with something that would stay locked in the up position. I would hate to raise my weapon and not have my sight up because something knocked it down.
  22. Goal: Slightly more classic looking AR as opposed to my other ARs with lightweight barrels, lightweight rails, etc. Specs: BCM 14.5" Mid-length government profile barrel BCM comp/FH BCM gas tube and gas block AERO upper in fde Seekins lower in fde Geissele SD-C trigger Magpul MIAD fde Magpul CTR stock fde Magpul RVG fde H2 buffer Troy 11" Bravo Rail fde Surefire Scout Ultra in fde of course Aimpoint Pro Magpul MBUS Pros Larue rail clips fde Magpul sling and sling plate Battle Arms Development Ambi Safety BCM Mod 4 ambi charging handle WMD Nickel Boron BCG
  23. I just picked up a CM9 about three days ago as well. Congrats on the buy.
  24. I like my Shellback Tactical Banashee. Not too pricey.
  25. I am currently going through the same thing as the Op. I use to not think twice about wheel guns. Now I'm obsessed looking at them online all the time. I just bought me a SP101 and love it. Is it heavy for only 5 shots, yes, but something just feels right that is unexplainable. Now I'm wanting a GP100 or Smith mid size frame. I was surprised that the revolver trigger pull had no negative effect on my Glock shooting ability. Probably because the SP101 trigger is 164lbs.
