    Glock42

I don't own one but have shot one several times. Definitely light weight and seems easy to carry. Currently carry a CM9 when I have to go small but could see carrying the G42. I find I can shoot the G42 fast and accurate. To me it handles like full size gun when it comes to shootability. But then again I always find an excuse to buy a new gun.
  2. I was one of the ones that had issues with my Glock 19 gen4. I bought it when they first came out. To be fair it shot duty ammo flawless but did not like WWB or range ammo. Once Glock sent me the newer recoil springs which they did twice as they made tweaks to each one the gun runs 100% on all ammo types. I would not hesitate to buy one of any type now. I also have a Glock 22 gen4 FDE that has been 100% since day one.
  3. I have the Stormwerkz folding adapter on my M92 SBR. No complaints but can't really remember much difference in quality from the ACE adapter I had on another AK. Locks good closed and opened with no wobble as of yet. Less than 1k round on itch though. Sorry only pic I could find. If you're ever in the Spring Hill area hit me up and you can check it out.
  4. I run the Syrac Gen I and Syrac Gen II with a suppressor on a 11.5" and 16" respectively. I'm in love with the adjustable gas blocks. It is night and day even compared to my mid lengths. Super soft recoil and no gas to the face even with suppressor.
  5. I'm with Mikegideon. Unless you are wanting to build a specialty gun or get something in SBR or precision realm just stick with the Smith for a general purpose rifle and change stocks grips etc to your liking.
  6. I run the SD-C in my duty gun and believe it's worth it. If I need to deploy it I would rather have the skill and the gear. Now if you are just buying the trigger to substitute for never practicing don't do it. I just know I will never need a gun and think "man I wish this trigger was worse"

    Pioneer Arms AK

Yes it is Polish. But if you google around it seems there are opinions that they are parts kit guns made up of parts sourced all over. No idea what the truth is and not that concerned about it. It's reliable and shoots straight.
  8. Just picked up this Pioneer Arms AK about 3 weeks ago from Aim. For a budget AK I am pretty impressed. Finish is nice deep black although doubt finish will hold up very well and has chrome lined barrel. There seems to be conflicting reports on who makes and where the parts are sourced. I wasn't to concerned as it is a project AK not something I'm keeping original. Only thing that concerns me is the bolt carrier is cast. The gun is imported by I.O. For those wondering. Mag fit has been excellent with the 2 x Tapco (came with) and 4 x Yugo BHO mags I have on hand with extremely small amount of wobble. Trigger is nothing great and not as good as my M92 but appropriate for the price point. Function was troublesome when I first shot it as the bolt was hanging on the hammer every 2-3 rounds. A little sanding on the hammer and rails and now shoots great and action is smoothest I felt on a lower end AK. Accuracy was about 2-2.5" at 50yds unsupported prone with Wolf ammo which isnt bad with irons on an AK for me. I'm sure it will tighten up a bit with an optic and rifle rest. The sights required no adjustment which was surprising as I doubt they zero at 50 or at all at the factory. As you can see I added a Krebs ambi safety as I am left handed. I hate the phrase "game changer" but this really made the AK much more appealing to me as I can run the safety with a flick of my thumb. I will add updated pics today once I install the Rifle Dynamics stock adapter and FSC47 brake I got this week. Update #1 Rifle Dynamics Stock Adapter w/CTR and QD end plate, FSC47 brake Update #2 Krebs Keymod Rail and Cerakote Magpul OD Green compliments of amendment2customcoatings (his Facebook has better photos)
  9. I love my Accupoint. It is fast up close and more forgiving with eye relief/cheek weld than I thought it would be. The reticle choices is the only limiting factor. I have the green triangle as speed was my number one priority. I also have a 1.5-4 Leupold Mark AR SPR Firedot but much prefer the Accupoint for speed.
  10. So I finally got all my stamps. I believe I have posted the rifle before but wanted to post pictures of the suppressor mounted. Thanks to LawEnforcementSalesTn for the easy purchase of the YHM 556 Phantom QD. Can't wait to shoot it.
  11. When I was in 06-10' we still didn't get enough pistol training to be proficient. I was an MP and we were issued M9s. I qualified expert but was still terrible looking back. We shot maybe a couple times a year with them and usually only 50-100 rounds. Its funny as a LEO I get far better training opportunities with both rifle and pistol. I look at it as the Army taught me how to fight while LE taught me to shoot. More on topic my choice for military sidearm would be FN or Smith and Wesson M&P in 9 or bigger. Personally I would go Glock but big Army will not allow the lack of manual safety.

    rail 1911

I know you are set on a railed 1911 but Buds has on sale Taurus 1911s for $399 right now.
  13. chances R- I understand the thumbs forward grip and that's how I shoot. However I have seen some ride their thumbs a little too high and press in making contact with the slide or slide stop. I thought this might be the issue, though it could be the ammo, a bad weapon, or limp wristing.
  14. I've seen guys at the range have similar issues. Usually they either have their thumb on the slide stop or the slide itself. Can't say for certain but it appears he is doing this.

    Sig MPX

Yes I want one. And I want it in .40, I would prefer 9mm personally but my ammo cache is primarily .40 as that is what I carry on duty.
  16. I wish the ambi P02 was more available to fondle. I might stray from glock for a second. I'm a lefty and would prefer cocked and locked.
  17. I had an XD45 a long time ago. It was the first polymer gun I tried. It was a great gun. Never had an issue. However at the time I didn't know how to shoot pistols very well so can't comment on shootability. I do think the two tone XDm is one of the better looking plastic guns out now. And i always liked rhe 3.8 size. I carry Glocks now because that's what I'm comfortable with and what I was trained on. I vaguely remember that the bore axis seemed higher on the XD but may be wrong.
  18. molonlabetn, If she ever looks up gun stuff to find that post I'm already trouble.
  19. I find that I also am becoming attracted to the larger than pocket carry single stacks. Normally I just carry my CM9 for deep concealment or my Glock 19 for normal IWB. However I realize now I like thin and light with the controllability of a larger gun. Its funny cause I used to say I didn't see the point in the Shield and XDS size wise. I guess my wife is right and I am wrong sometimes.
  20. And right after I just got the Midwest Industries Keymod, go figure.
  21. Big fan of the cm9. Small, light, and comfortable to shoot. Trigger has smooth long double action feel.
  22. 1. My 11.5" SBR Suppressed (still waiting on the can) 2. Glock 35 w/TLR-1hl for zombies hiding in the dark 3. Cold Steel SRK Carbon V and my Oakley reinforced gloves (I don't have much in the meleee department)
  23. What color is that? I love it.
