  1.   Not surprising, but he did shoot his victims with a .22 caliber revolver and NOT a rifle.  Maybe they're going to ban .22s.  It could explain why ammo is so hard to find!!!
  2. Wally World in Hermitage had well over 5000 rounds this past weekend of 223/556.
  3. Neither Smyrna or Mt. Juliet Academy had bricks this afternoon.  They did have 50 round boxes though.
  4. The bottom line for me is pretty simple.  I feel I will have to work until the day that I die regardless of what someone else thinks.  My house is not worth what I paid for it 9 years ago, my 401K has survived 3 recessions in 7 years, I make less than I did 10 years ago, and my current pay raises don't keep up with my increase in medical insurance much less the cost of living.  I'm screwed, but so are a lot of other people.
  5. You don't "test" security by having live rounds fired back at you.  That's called suicide.  What if the security officer hits you in the head with his live rounds?  Wouldn't that be an epic failure of the test on your part?
  6. Had police searched the property where he was found?  If so, that's bad.  I haven't kept up with all of the details, but it just shows how tough of a job LE and counterterrorism really is.  It's hard to imagine how many sleeper cells there are in this country.   I don't mean to sound this way either, but I'm glad it was a Muslim and NOT an American if you get my drift.   I also wonder how many citizens wish they could have had a firearm for protection during the lockdown.

  8. If you live on the east side, Central Pike Collision Center does excellent work.
  9. I had a 2001 Expedition with a 4.6L engine, and it was a snail.  I think you're going to have a hard time getting a lot of additional horsepower/torque out of that engine.  If you could possibly put the injectors, cams, and computer out of a 2011 Mustang GT, it might help.  Those engines had about 265 hp.  Having a vehicle with only 235 hp and weighing around 5700 pounds, it's a tough job to make it go faster.  I just hope you never have the airbags go off on the truck.  If they do, it's gonna be totaled.  That's what happened to mine thanks to my son.
  10. I see myself supporting Ted Cruz or Rand Paul long before I'd support Rubio.  I don't believe in granting amnesty of any type to people that knowingly break our laws every day.  I've heard all of the arguments supporting Hispanics, and I agree with a lot of them.  Breaking the law is still breaking the law.  I find it strange to see so many Hispanics walking our streets, stores, and schools, and we know they're here illegally.
  11. I'll take one.
  12. Is there something on this page to help???   http://www.brownells.com/magazines/handgun-magazines/magazine-parts/magazine-floorplates/index.htm?avs|Make_3=1911
  13. She looks constipated to me, or she needs to let a really big fart.   Her expression is too pained and does not look normal.
  14.   I do not have iron sights.  I would get the cantilever mount as well.  I don't know how it would work out with the red dot so far forward if you put it on the rail.
  15. I have the Strikefire (small world eh?) and bought a 3X magnifier with the flip to side mount.  You'll either have to get a cantilever mount or mount your red dot out on the rail like someone already said.
  16. My hat size is 7 5/8" and I have the ones you bought.  They work just fine for me.  I used them to cut tile yesterday.
  17. I bought a Zoom modem 2-3 years ago.  They were rated highly and were cheaper than Motorola.  That alone doubled my internet speed.  As far as a router goes like previously stated, it does no good to buy the latest WIFI technology if you don't have the adapters to use the speed.  You can save money by buying what the router that matches your adapters unless you plan on spending the money to upgrade those as well.  I have an old Linksys 802.11G router and the signal strength is fine all over my property even outside.
  18.   I would think that's why manufacturers run 3 shifts.  I doubt if any company is going to pay that much OT to anyone.  If they have a shortage of people, they'll hire temps to fill in their needs.
  19.  There's one across from my subdivision 5+ acres for $150K, but it can be had much cheaper.
  20.     If you have children, look at the various schools districts.  I found the best way was to compare the ACT/SAT test scores for the high schools.  That might also be a deciding factor.  My kids went to the magnet schools in Nashville, and they got a very good education.
  21. How much land do you want?  You're going to pay for it in any surrounding county.  I live in Hermitage, and there's plenty of 5-8 acre lots in my area.  Lots of houses with property in Nashville are well below value right now.  I would stay out of Rutherford county because the commute into town is horrendous.  I40 from the east isn't too bad.
  22.     I'm afraid most of the liberal states do not agree with our views or stances on politics.  Republicans will end up caving on most of the difficult choices that are going to come up in the next couple of years.  One of them is the illegal immigration issue.  We need a true conservative to step up and lead, maybe Ted Cruz can get 'er done.
  23. Franklin would be first on my list.  Best schools, best resell value on a house (most expensive too), and great shopping.  I live next door to Mt. Juliet, and while it's a nice area, the shopping is pretty lousy.  The best department store in the area is JCPenney's.  You can buy land in Davidson County too, but the taxes are a lot higher.
  24.   I thought the change in colors for the political parties was a more recent development.  I seem to remember Reagan's victory in 1980 was a country of blue.   As far as Magpul goes, there are thousands of empty factories all across the nation.  They could move and set up shop in any of them and have minimal downtime.  Given today's employment, they would not have any problem finding people wanting to work for them.
  25. See if you can find a 1999 or newer Toyota Corolla.  Toyota started putting timing chains on their 4 cylinders that year.  I drove a rental and averaged 40 mpg.  I'd also look at a Honda Civic or Accord.
