Wine in Grocery store bill fails in committee
JPR1959 replied to graycrait's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
You can buy beer in liquor stores, but it has a higher alcoholic content. I think wine should be allowed to be sold in grocery stores. -
I bought a Norelco at Sams (came with a "personal" groomer) a couple years ago and I'm okay with it. I've used Norelco products for almost 35 years. I've had a cheap Braun and was not satisfied with it's performance. I hate shaving and could care less if I had some stubble. I now have the most stylist pubic area!!! LOL

I am not an expert on 1911s. I hope to have one soon, but for the price range you quoted, I'd say Springfield TRP. I'll probably go with a Springfield Loaded, or maybe a Sig 1911.

I hope you get your problems resolved with you Sig. Those are beautiful 1911s. I'm thinking of picking one up. Let us know how it turns out for you.

How many are sitting good in the Ammo Department ?
JPR1959 replied to R1100R's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Define "good". How many rounds is enough? I haven't gone shooting in a while, but have enough steel cased ammo to not miss it. I'd love more 22LR and 9mm, but not really hurting on it too bad. -
I am looking for purchasing my first 1911, and the Sig was at the top of my list. I've read lots of message boards covering every model. I'm looking to spend approximately $800 or less. The Sig has tons of features for a great price, but the problems some people report are scaring me away from them. I think I'm going with a Springfield Loaded. I can get it about $100 cheaper than a Sig, and their customer service department is second to none. The Sig 1911s are fine looking pistols.

Why does the KPD need 6 37 mm grenade launchers??? You east TN people must be really dangerous!!! I wonder why they didn't sell the ammo on gunbroker.

Bellshire Guns on Dickerson Road has two in stock. They're basically a Rock Island Match with STI trigger components. He has them listed on gunbroker for $600.

I got my 60" Panasonic plasma for $1200. Great pics, but I rarely use it!!!

Shoot the squirrels on your bird feeders with a BB gun. Those little "rats" will destroy your home given a chance.

I'm 53 years old and I've seen my 401K lose money through 5 or more recessions over the years. I lost my old job 5 years ago and now make 40% less than I did then. My health insurance now costs twice what it did in the past. I agree with both Robert and AR. I know deep down, we're all screwed. Our social programs have crippled our country and will drive us to bankruptcy in 10 years.

This needs to be stated again. The government is spending $15 billion this year over last year. This is a cut??? Please go to http://www.usdebtclock.org and tell me how you plan on funding everything. I'm waiting to hear it. Look at the very bottom of the website at the unfunded debt. I've paid into the system and will need social security, but the reality is our government can't pay for it.

You should see the rolling roadblocks in Nashville dealing with potholes.
-
The property tax rates are higher in Nashville than the surrounding counties, and traffic can be tough at times. I grew up in Memphis and wouldn't go back. Look at the surrounding counties around Nashville (Sumner, Wilson, Williamson, and Rutherford). Look at the school systems (compare ACT test scores for various schools to see the quality of education) and tax rates. I've never had it take an hour to go anywhere in Nashville even in rush hour traffic. I would stay away from southeastern Davidson county though.

DHS explains ammo purchase reasons. Are they kidding?
JPR1959 replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The government is wasting money, just shut off the water and electricity. In 7 days, everyone will cave in. -
DHS explains ammo purchase reasons. Are they kidding?
JPR1959 replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If our financial system does crash, how does the "new" government pay the security forces? Would the military just casually sit by and watch thousands die in a "civil" disturbances? I really hope we never have to have those questions answered, but I feel I'm wrong. -
Finally heard back from Jim Cooper
JPR1959 replied to KaNuckles's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Conservatives in Metro have always had a difficult time with the elitists of western Davidson county. Cooper is going to be extremely difficult to remove from office unfortunately. -
The 21ft rule - fail "these officers did not have to get cut"
JPR1959 replied to mcurrier's topic in Training Discussions
Isn't that why most police officers carry 12 ga shotguns? One shot and no more attacker with a knife. -
4.9 "Earthquake" Nuclear Bomb North Korea
JPR1959 replied to TLRMADE's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If North Korea detonates a nuclear bomb on American soil, they will be glowing regardless of who is president. The device recently tested was a small atomic blast not in the megaton range at all. -
I don't know if this has been posted, but it's a great video. http://youtu.be/CebaoIDXWDQ

Memphis renames city parks that honored Confederacy
JPR1959 replied to mcurrier's topic in General Chat
I can remember watching the bridge being built standing in Confederate Park. I used to love playing on the cannons. Times change, but history does not. Very poor decision by the city government. -
Piers Morgan Shoots an AR & Interviews Ted Nugent Again!
JPR1959 replied to xRUSTYx's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The majority of Americans could care less if the government tramples on the Constitution as long as they have their Starbucks and 100 channels on their big screens. It's very discouraging. -
Whatever happened to.................................
JPR1959 replied to bubbiesdad's topic in General Chat
Just wait until you get old. Tyler needs to learn to keep his shirt on though!!! Getting old sucks. -
I can promise you the airbag damage tops $7K. He'll have to have new airbags and a new dash. I've never had to replace side airbags. If your car or truck is 10 years old and the airbags deploy, your vehicle will be totalled.
