  1. It's probably from sending e-mails to our Congressmen. You wouldn't think they would try and sell our e-mail addresses to private companies to make a buck?
  2.     I would double like this post it I could. Love it and agree 100%
  3. I bought my son a 226 for under $700 for his 21st birthday. Am I a great dad or what?!?!?! I shoot my XD 45 way better though.
  4. I got the same letter, and I thought I was special!!!
  5. I think the Colt 6920 is $1097.

Could you tell me more about the purchasing process (required paperwork for non-veterans and club membership) through CMP?
  7. I sense a little bit of racism in Charlie's diatribe.
  8. Not surprising given our current state of journalism.
  9. My black Lab. He's 12 now. My yellow is 3.
  10. I signed up for lifetime membership on Thursday. The process took about 45 minutes.
  11. I saw this Savage with scope at Wal-Mart. If someone could let me know if this is a good buy, I might have to pick one up. It does come with the Accutrigger too.
  12. I think the Federalist 46 paper written by James Madison explains the 2nd amendment and the reasoning/logic behind it. It reads as follows: Let a regular army, fully equal to the resources of the country, be formed; and let it be entirely at the devotion of the federal government; still it would not be going too far to say, that the State governments, with the people on their side, would be able to repel the danger. The highest number to which, according to the best computation, a standing army can be carried in any country, does not exceed one hundredth part of the whole number of souls; or one twenty-fifth part of the number able to bear arms. This proportion would not yield, in the United States, an army of more than twenty-five or thirty thousand men. To these would be opposed a militia amounting to near half a million of citizens with arms in their hands, officered by men chosen from among themselves, fighting for their common liberties, and united and conducted by governments possessing their affections and confidence. It may well be doubted, whether a militia thus circumstanced could ever be conquered by such a proportion of regular troops.
  13. I got this from D&T Arms Facebook page. Very interesting!!! http://youtu.be/ECxDvwObwZk
  14. I think you're missing the Obama plan on how to get around the 2nd amendment. If Obama can raise taxes on ammo to where it's not affordable, he's got his gun ban without touching the 2nd. He could require background checks on ammo so you couldn't buy hundreds or thousands of rounds of ammo. If a 50 round box of 45 ACP which now costs around $18 goes up to $75 or more due to taxes, who's going to be able to afford it? Same thing could happen to reloading supplies. I agree with many of your viewpoints on Wally World, but why should they invest tons of money on a product they might not be able to sell? I fear the administration far more on what they will do to limit our freedoms.
  15. I don't know if you've seen this, but it's worth the time. http://youtu.be/-taU9d26wT4
  16. Jim Cooper's big support comes from the rich elite in western Davidson county (Green Hills and Belle Meade) and also the minority vote. Brad Staat, his challenger last time, actually came door to door in my neighborhood seeking votes. He got all of ours.
  17. I'd try a couple XDms too. I love my XD 45.
  18. DHS did purchase over 1.5 billion rounds of 5.56 ammo last year. I can't recall how many rounds were purchased for handguns, but it was pretty substantial too.
  19. I'm of the belief that the only reason The Tennessean endorsed Mitt Romney was to try and get back their readers who left due to their extremely liberal viewpoints. I look forward to reading your article, but it will be a cold day in hell before I ever give those leftist a dime of my money. I just believe in NOT trusting the liberal media.
  20. First off, thanks to all of our veterans for protecting our freedoms. Civilians can never thank you guys and gals enough. It will be interesting to see how long it would take the lawsuits against guns to make it to the Supreme Court. Will Obama have his new judges on the court by then?
  21.   I'd think you'd find most gunowners would be against people owning guns illegally (criminals, mentally unbalanced, illegal immigrants). The problem is many in government and the media feel owning guns is illegal, or at least should be.
  22. I am very worried. Obama won two terms and this just proves anything is possible. Most people are too apathetic to most of today's important issues. Too many people think just raising taxes will solve our debt problem. We are a divided nation on too many fronts. Gun control is not a very high priority for most Americans.
  23. Not all of the people living in our country would support a ban of guns. I don't see this as a tipping point for our country, but only one of several possible scenarios.
  24. I don't think it will be just a few in the South.  Look at the map!!!   http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_md9f5e38JB1rugehno1_500.jpg
  25.     It's not like the American consumer has a choice it it?  Try finding an American made coffee maker, clothes, sheets, etc.  You probably know it's vitually impossible, so if you're going to have to buy a foreign made product, why over pay?  I hate Wal-Mart, but they are far cheaper than other retailers.  Wal-Mart started the trend and the other retailers followed suit.  Either way, we're being screwed.
