  1. My old house had a similar situation, but it showed the "flaw" on my deed. My property line was 10 feet into my neighbor's property. The chain link fence was put up wrong. I told my neighbor if I ever replaced the fence, I would reclaim my property.
  2. I remember seeing a 6" blue Python for $749 at a gun show in 1988.  Beautiful guns, but a little pricey.  Dan Wesson 357s currently in production has a MSRP of $1168.
  3. Sorry for not saying it was 45 ACP.  Most places usually charge $40 or more for "value" packs.  I paid $209 for 5000 rounds of 22 LR.  I know that was a good deal too.  I don't reload, and I know it would save money.  I just haven't got started down that road--yet.
  4. I stopped by the ammo case in Hermitage tonight, and there were 5 100 round Federal Value Packs looking lonely. I had to take them home. The price was right too.
  5. Why not insist that people that are on government assistance do civil duty? There are many "jobs" they could do, but it is considered beneath them or insulting their dignity. Maybe they could help out in school and discipline their unruly children.
  6. I would agree with trying to get into southern Williamson county too.  The property taxes are low, if nonexistent, in Spring Hill.  It really depends on if you plan on buying.
  7. No, you just have to have no teeth and a red neck!
  8. Where do I sign up for one of your shooting classes? Seriously!!!
  9.   Kyle Mills is set to finish Mr. Flynn's unfinished novel, and then write two more Rapp novels.  I think it's going to be tough to fill Vince's shoes, but I love the character.  I am going to request a book of Mills at the library while I'm thinking about it.
  10. I would love to see Mitch Rapp come to the big screen.  Those books written by Vince Flynn are excellent books.
  11. I watched the movie last Sunday and read the book, which I will re-read.  I would like to thank ALL of our veterans for their service to our country.  All of your heroic adventures should be told and written about.  God bless you all.
  12. Would you snip your own? I snipped my old Lab, and afterward, he refused to retrieve. He would look at me like you go get it, you cut off my nuts!!! He was the last dog I had fixed. My 3 Labs since him all have their boys swinging. They don't pee in the house either. It's tough when a female goes in heat within 2 miles though.
  13. I'm pretty sure the NRA convention is at the Music City Center.  Everyone come and invite all of their friends.  Nashville needs to pay for that blasted building WITHOUT raising my taxes to do so!!!
  14. I didn't expect for them to honor the price, but the sticker below showed the boxes was for that product.  I thought I was going to have to argue with them too, but I didn't.  The cheapest I've paid for 45 was a box of 50 for $16 for steel cased Tula.  This was cheaper than 9mm, so I snagged it.
  15. I'm sure is was $28.97.  I was shocked, but not enough to buy them all!!!  I've got to keep practicing with my new 1911 ya know???
  16.   It doesn't say, but I'm going to say brass.  It was cheaper than Tula.  I saw 100 round Remington at Gander Mountain for $75!!!  :ugh:
  17. I found 3 Federal 100 round value packs for 28.97 each at Wal Mart.  I guess it pays to look at their ammo case occasionally.
  18. Okay, you got ONE guy.
  19. About 10 years ago, I got caught with a 6" crescent wrench, but they missed my 12" super thin slotted screwdriver.  They said I could either mail the wrench to myself or toss it, so I tossed it.  I was told by the TSA you never know who is a terrorist.  My response was show me a 45 year old white man terrorist, and I'll agree with you.  He didn't think it was too funny.
  20. 15 of 15.

    1911 low down

With your budget, a Dan Wesson would be an excellent choice.  Their internals are all milled steel.  I was giving them serious thought, but I prefer a blue 1911.  I picked up my Colt from Guns and Leather for under $1K OTD.  I have been reading the 1911 forums for a couple of years.  I really do like the TRP too.
  22. Merry Christmas my fellow TGOers.  God bless you and your loved ones.
  23. I've worn contacts for 32 years.  I think LASIK is great, but I wouldn't spend the money for it.  My contacts only cost $100 per year.  You're going to need reading glasses anyway.  My right contact is set up for normal vision, and my left is for reading.  Trying to see things properly for shooting is difficult.  You have to pick whether to see your sights or target.  I can't see both clearly, but that's just due to old age.
