  1. while the g30 is a fine gun have you considered the 30s. I carry my 30s in the same holster I carry my g19 and g23 in. while it wont fit the same serpa holster most leather holsters are interchangeable.
  2. " Allowing white racist punks to defame American flag by wearing as shirt to create racial troubles  banned at US school" would be a more appropriate title for this thread as the flag was not banned at this or any other us school.
  3. Well no surprise here as " Corruption IS the new normal "
  4. I don't mean to rain on your party but I bought that very gun when they first came out. it was a total piece of crap. never got it to fire a full mag of ammo without a ftf or fte. I sent it back to s&w 2 different times. the first time they replaced the barrel and the second time they "refitted " all the parts. no improvement after either repair. I had 6 or 7 different people shoot the gun all with same results so it was not just me. I finally came to my senses and traded it on a Glock 21sf and have not looked back. while I have never been a fan of the 1911 platform I thought I would see if I could warm up to them with smith's best effort but that was not to be. Hope this gun works out for you but I think I will just stay with my glocks.
  5. will they even fit in a holster? look way too tall to me. also looks kind of busy for a sight
  6. All we really know for sure is it was some kind of cutting device,” said Plano police spokesman David Tilley.   http://crimeblog.dallasnews.com/2014/01/off-duty-dallas-officer-carjacked-in-plano-gun-and-badge-were-in-car.html/     a gun on your back seat is not of much use in a time of need. this gal went wrong on so many levels.
  7. its not too late to get a flu shot. I would highly encourage you to do so.
  8. wow that's a gas! :yuck:
  9. is anybody familiar with a company called mossy creek custom here in nashville. i want to get a trigger job on a sp 101 and am considering letting them do it. i found them online but thought someone here could advised on what kind of work they do.
  10. tanker why don't you call the dealer you bought the truck from and explain to the service department your concerns. they might be able to tell you if you should bring the truck in or not. this might save you a trip and some time if they tell you its no issue. however based upon what you've said I think the following may be happening. in the process of combustion many pollutants are produced that the modern exhaust system turns into harmless water. perhaps you have seen water dripping out the tailpipe of your car on occasion. if you are parking on the incline with the tailpipe on the higher side the water may be collecting in the exhaust and burning off as steam. in the process it picks up soot and comes out a dirty gray steam. the fact this smoke happened after sitting 20 minutes would account for time for the moisture to collect. if the problem continues try parking with the tail pipe on the lower side of the incline so water can escape and see if problem continues. if so I would definitely take to dealer. on a side note I would add that idling a engine for long periods is the most harmful thing that can be done. in cold temps it is best to start the car and take for a short drive if one wants to start the motor from time to time. this allows any condensation to burn off and heats the system better. the list of problems prolonged idling can cause are to long to list here.  good luck
  11. Resistance Check TOC NOTE: The following checks apply to brick typed intake manifold heater elements only. Cylindrical type intake heater elements do not have any external ground wires. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Remove all wires from the intake manifold air heater. SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE Previous Next Use an ohmmeter to check the resistance across both terminals. SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE Previous Next Use an ohmmeter to check the resistance from the ground of each positive heater terminal. The resistance should indicate zero ohms. If high ohms are indicated, inspect and clean or repair all heater electrical connections and grounds and recheck for zero ohms. Meter reads zero = good heater (both elements) Meter does not move = defective heater Meter indicates, but not zero = dirty or corroded connections. Clean and repair, as necessary. SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE Previous Next Check the resistance from the ground wire to a known good ground. The reading should be less than 10 ohms. If not, replace the heater ground wire. SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE Previous Next one thing to check is the intake heater this is the procedure
  12. if you can get me the engine serial number I will access cummins web site and pull you some trouble shooting on it
  13. which engine do you have
  14. if a long range rifle is the goal I think I would stay with the 308. I know savage makes a fine rifle but my choice would be a Remington 700. I feel that you can make a 700 a much better long range rifle with planned upgrades that the others listed. i'm not knocking savage nor Mossberg but I feel more can be done with the 700. with that said for a make me feel like a man, remind me of my heritage, connect me to my forefathers the M1A cant be beat. I suppose it would really come down to exactly what you want to do with the gun. to my way of thinking the guns you have listed represent a wide range of uses. may want to narrow down exactly what the gun will be used for. I don't think that you would go wrong with any of them however.
